  1. Hello, When researching to build a deskpit I've noticed that in every manual and the few real-world pictures that I found the AR DISC light is amber, while in DCS as well as in other illustrations and even in the other sim is red. Just for curiosity, in the real jet is it amber or are there different versions of it?
  2. Hello, (Electronics and coding noob here) I'm also using an ER-OLEDM032-1 connected to an Arduino Mega and using the code above. It works great but besides some formatting preferences as I want the text to cover the whole width of the screen, the refresh time when changing DED pages seems slow( like one second to load a page). Could some code tweaking bump up the refresh rate or is it a limitation of the Arduino's processing power? Thanks in advance!
  3. Hello, I have purchased and installed a plastic version of a straight but offset 15 deg (for center stick mounting) tailpiece from Shapeways and I'm very happy with it. I haven't tried the steel the version but the plastic version looks and feel very sturdy. The connector screws thread themselves although you might have to enlarge the holes a bit (but it's easy, you can do it with a narrow screwdriver). I used it for a couple of weeks and it shows no sign of play. I ordered it from Romania and it arrived in standard time (a couple of days for express shipping) with no problem.
  4. Finally fixed it :D It was actually a brown wire from the throttle pcb to main pcb connector that wasn't making a connection. After some patchwork the throttle is working again, all buttons and switches are operating normally. Thank you again for the tips and suggestions!
  5. Thanks for the replies! I've checked the connectivity of every wire of the microstick and coolie switch (from the soldering points on the switch to the pcb connectors) and they check out ok. No interruptions there. I'm going to check the mic switch next. The only switch that works is the microstick. All the others on the right throttle are dead at the moment.
  6. Hello, After a probably botched installation of the DeltaSim slew upgrade on my part, the buttons on the right throttle have gone inactive. The slew axis works just fine but now the slew press button engages the other buttons (1-12) simultaneously (see picture). The problem appeared after installing and calibrating the Deltasim upgrade. It appeared intermittently the first couple of times and got reset after a fresh plug-in of the USB cable but soon it failed to reset at all. What I've tried: -reinstall the drivers and firmware -put the old microstick back in - same behaviour -plugged the throttle in and old laptop with no TM drivers installed - same behaviour in Win Game controllers Properties page -checked for damage: no obvious damage to the wires, switches or PCB that I can tell Has anyone else encountered this problem or has an idea (short of getting a new throttle) how to fix it? Thank you!
  7. Azimuth bumping is not possible while in TWS. It makes sense since it changes the refresh rate of target sampling and the quality of the track. You wouldn't want to accidentally degrade your target track quality while cranking to the side after a missile launch, for example. Range scale however changes only how much it is displayed on the MFD for pilot's convenience, it doesn't change how the radar works. There is a note in the earlier variants of the radar's documentation that specifies that azimuth scan patterns are only changeable via OSBs and it comes right after some range scale description and it's not that difficult to come to the conclusion that it affects both. In a different section it states that range scaling via cursor bumping is possible in TWS and SAM. It could really be a new feature, however a verification by someone with more updated information or a SME would be much appreciated :D .
  8. Hello, sorry to revive this but can someone from ED verify that range bumping in not available in TWS mode in the current modeled variant? Earlier versions of the radar had azimuth scan patterns locked in TWS and the wording in the manual could be confusing as to believing that range is also but state that range scale is changeable via bumping in both RWS and TWS. PM if we're going over rule 1.16 on this. Thank you!
  9. Yeah, the 3d model looks like a rough sketch now, there are these errors, the UFC looks good (it is an old model). Also the rudders are too big. We'll see how it turns out.
  10. It would be a first day purchase or pre-purchase for me too. There is enough official unclassified documentation available to make a mid-90s OCIP version of the plane. Just recently a developer announced that they are making a high fidelity F-117A module for a popular civilian flight sim (I don't know if I'm allowed to reference other developers by name/ provide direct links on this forum - a google search should be enough). While it would be nice to just fly the F-117 it would be quite a waste in a civ sim - that module should belong in DCS.
  11. Thanks for the insight! So it was easier to picture something 53 Mly further away :P Also, do you happen to know in what spectrum was today's image taken?
  12. First of all, congratulations for the team! Historic feat! Did they image Sagittarius A as well/when are they going to release the first images for that?
