  1. Some lowlight shots, first time I've tried to put flood/decklights onto a vessel, not sure if they will stay or not, as I feel they need to feel and look "softer"
  2. I have been working on the Type 42 this week, and tidying up a few things, and trying to add a few more things, like working lights etc...and for this I need some help. Does anyone know how the Navigation lights are configured on the Type 42 ? I've also had a wee setback, after editing the damage parts on the lua, for some strange reason, the Seadarts have stopped firing, I think I might know why, and it's related to the damage parts, my laptop crashed so wasn't able to use Ctrl Z to undo, I might have a copy of the old lua elsewhere. Seadarts - semi working, however they detonate at around 4 miles from launch, and don't seem to track, before I borked it, they were able to track up to 15 -20NM from the ship and have about a 30/70 success hit rate
  3. I'll have a bowl of the self entitlement you've scoffed please. You do realise that when you point a finger at someone, there's 3 pointing right back at you? ED's current responsibilites are to the core game, and their modules, it has, and always will be down to the 3rd party developers to then bring their modules inline with the core game. You know the situation with regards to the F15E, and if you don't, which I know full well you are, then you've been living under a rock.
  4. The Pepsi driver/Employees who have been laid off/unpaid needs answers from Pepsi, not Walmart. And the reason WHY payments have been held is THE crux of the matter. It's a lot more complicated than the 3rd party Devs not being paid, they need to ask their employer what caused the suspension of payments, and get the answers from them, and it's obvious that the F15E devs were oblivious to what was happening at coprorate/business strategy level, and why would they be privy to this, it's not a common practice. It matters not, as this just keeps going round and round and round, and nobody seems willing to hold their hands up and admit wrongdoings, and that may never happen, I 100% feel for the devs, the last thing they would have expected was to be victims of circumstances.
  5. LOL, yeah and Ron Zambrano and Nick Grey are going to hand out Christmas gifts to all their loyal consumers and enthusiasts. Unless you're part of the coprortate team, I'm going to call BS on you questionaing the CEO how he runs his business... as for me, I'm self employed, however when an employee, The corporate teams were always located well away from the sharp end of the stick, and as a former military, we didnt have the luxury of questioning our seniors about their decisions. Good for you that your company is transparent, personally I don't believe neither ED or Razbam have been transparent here, but then again, they don't have to be either. It's a 100% shytshow, and NOBODY is denying that.
  6. Hmmmmm great first post, when you use the term "vicious" kind of makes it obvious what your opinion/views are on this. Considering the said 3rd party devs publicly stated they'd never work for ED ever again, and slagged them off, it was a sure fire way of ending their access to the SDK, and again if it was my company, given their public actions, albeit initially out of frustration, then I'd also have removed any sort of access to MY software, but this seems too difficult to grasp for self entitled and needy people. There's an old saying " I wants don't get" 100% the situation is far from what all of us consumers, and enthusiasts want, however, as it stands all of the modules from RB are still functioning, all that's relevent to the end user, that's us, has been posted on page one, and has been repeated ad nauseum by the community managers, what's so difficult to accept that's the current state of things ?
  7. Yeah, should be more specific really !
  8. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3332849/ There's that one
  9. You like to know too much, you're sense of self entitlement continues to be staggering. You clearly have no idea how a business works when dealing with 3rd parties either, you're one of those people that cannot accept what's being told to you at face value. Do you ask your employer how he conducts his business, and why they make all their business decisions..? Why on earth would you allow 3rd party developers, especially those who have slammed the living shyt out of you , and going out of their way to split the communit online at every opportunity, leaking confidential conversations, and a multitide of other things, access to the very software that's quite possibly at the base of the entire IP infringement? You wouldn't.period.
  10. Nobody is being punished, this isn't the school playground, your self entitlement here is staggering. Do all the current Razbam modules, including the F15E still work? YES they do, the ONLY thing that's effected is updates for the time being, the hyperbole coming from certain individuals is mindblowing here. How anyone feels they're being "punished " is staggering
  11. We are NOT doing business with ED, we're customers/consumers, nothing more, nothing less. Nobody who goes shopping for goods uses the term, "I'm off to do business with the grocery store" or if in the UK " I'm off to do some business in Tesco, by buying a tin of beans" or " I had a great business deal today, I got two packets of toilet roll, for the price of one" Now, if you were an education centre, and approached ED for a purchase of multiple licences for an online flight school, and they agreed, and offered a different price for mass purchase, then you'd be a retailer, and that would make your purchase a business transaction
  12. I think there's some folks taking my wording "Thermonuclear" a little bit too literally, I was talking about IF this was MY company that was being abused, and being paid lip service to and ignored C's and D's, then to protect MY company, and MY investments, and MY staff, and MY reputation, then 100% I would do what it takes, no matter how drastic that mean, in order to protect MY company, that is what I mean by thermonuclear. Once you go to the strictest/harshest option, then the offending party simply has no other choice but to take notice. Is it ideal, Jesus no, because that option generally effects and impacts everyone else, those people are not to blame, they're victims of their OWN companies bad practices and procedures and duplicity.
  13. And in the real world, If I as an engineering company gave a subcontractor access to my patented engineering software under agreed terms and conditions , and that company then went on and used said software to enter into a negotiation/contract with another party, that they would have profited out of, without my permission to use said software outside of agreed terms and conditions, and without my knowleledge, I would be pissed, I would be pissed beyond belief, and I would exercise every aspect available to me to nip this in the bud, in the hope the subcontractor realised they were a bit naughty, aplogised for their "error in judgement Now imagine that the subcontractor company basically said "frak you" , we're doing this anyway and be damned. I'd go thermonuclear on them. period, and so would any other business when their "Intelectual Property" was being used and abused. So who do you blame for that initial abuse? Do you blame the guys drilling holes and popping rivets, or the delivery drivers who would more than likely be oblivious to what's going on, or whats happened, or do you blame the CEO/CBO or other coprorate members who negotiated the outside deal?
  14. Sums up a considerable amount of the DCS community
  15. You, the customer, like the rest of us have been informed, umpteen times, in every thread created since the situation unfolded, and it's there to read on the first page. Nothing disrespectful at all. You're a customer, not a shareholder, nor a stakeholder, your not entitled, no matter what you think and feel, to more than what's already been posted on page 1.
  16. Just an update, been a bit busy with real life, but the Sea-Darts are still behaving erraticly, as are the Sea-Wolfs, the sea darts are too inconsistent, often detonating 3-5 miles from the ship, and before intercepting
  17. Is this map now being updated and developed under Orbx now, as opposed to Razbam?
  18. Factually incorrect, there's been updates to the South Atlantic map, and that's a Razbam map, also according to Razbam themselves all other modules apart from the F15E were out of early access and in their opinions were complete ( we the community know this is far from the truth) The community do care, but not enough to get constantly worked up about soemthing that's outside of their control.
  19. Doesn't matter if it's different budgets, it's not any different than having the South Atlenatic team continue to develop and support that product, they're still part of the Razbam infrastructure, and come under the same Razbam overheads, an internal robbing Peter to pay Paul is the norm, that being said, it doesn't look well when the CEO takes off to Japan for several days, whilst he's not paid his prime module devs, even a retainer ( if he was confident that his case is watertight, and ED are in the wrong) If he also thought that his case was watertight, I'd have also thought that he would have kept a reign on his devs and told them to keep their mouths shut, and say and do nothing, alas the Razbam side of things has had more leaks than a seive,
  20. ED has been "trashed" as you call it on numerous pages within this thread, especially with regards to the refund policy, once again you engage in hyperbole, by stating Razbam are getting trashed ALL THE TIME in this thread, it's obvious even to Stevie Wonder that you're stirring the pot...again.
  21. One of my concerns with this regarding the situation is that a couple of the RB Devs who were not paid by RB due to the current issue, and then went on with a very clear agenda to damage the relationship between ED and their customer base by publically releasing "selective" conversations on those said platforms, who also clearly and publically stated they'd never again work on anything related to ED again, so how would it be possible to continue the F15E's development without them onboard?
  22. The toxicity on these sub platforms is horrendous, makes you wonder why they all spend that much time and effort hating a sim so much, that they simply don't delete it, and go elsewhere?
  23. I think most people here, and customers in general are now bored of the current situation, nothing will be resolved this year, and the longer it's dragged out, the less chance of a favourable ending.
  24. Why not? It hasn't changed, it's still good to fly, all that's happened is the roadmap has stalled, nothing else.
  25. A lot of people cannot differentiate between a customer and a stakeholder, and the differecne is massive
