  1. So there will have to be an AI in them perhaps, scary stuff that. However if ED gets in that business we might be getting very good AI in DCS:[whichever fighter comes first] :P
  2. There is also one (from the same company) with a simpler display which is much cheaper...
  3. I'll probably buy this one at once also :) It looks very nice, if the base sucks like on the cougar I'll mount the handle on the good old msFFB2 :D (might do that anyway..) Would be very nice if they released an FFB base I thinks (if they make it right that is, like the msFFB2), would be super for black shark and most of all for sowbob.
  4. I use an ms FFB 2 as well (grey trigger, green light) and it works very well. Only problem is (as others mentioned) that you can't set curves on the axis since the curves won't apply to where it centers when you trim..
  5. Have been holding off on getting this game because of the DRM. I'm sad to see there have allready been problems :( I'll probably get the game sooner or later though (when I'm in a U-boat mood and the urge gets too strong). I've had alot of trouble with steam (wireless connection is all I can get at home) as well. I must say - allthough I was sceptical at first - I have found DCS new starforce thing to be acceptable (never had anything to do with the infamous "old" starforce)...
  6. http://www.lazygranch.com/red_audio.htm A bunch of files recorded from red flag..
  7. I started using the Hat clip instead of the proclip, I can't detect any difference between them. I thought the proclip with it's cable was too much a hassle to mount and unmount on the headphones..
  8. I agree! I have recently upgraded from Tir3 t Tir5, works great and is alot smoother than Tir3.. Using the Tir3 for the first time though I remember it took me awhile to get used to.. Nowadays I find myself moving my head if I look at a video from the cockpit perspective :D
  9. I've been very much looking forward to this title. But I find that DRM scheme of theirs unacceptable for a (mainly) singleplayer game..
  10. Thanks alot for clearing it up for me!! It's indeed made for eternity, mine is going strong since 6 yrs back I think :D Was hoping for the G940 but I suspect I'd be dissapointed, so I'll be getting another FFB2 as backup I think :)
  11. The swap axes thing has to be done with FFB2 and XP as well.. Nice to see you got it working, have been putting off installing win7 64-bit myself for fear the FFB2 would'nt work :p Do you use it with or without the program that came on a disc with the stick? Do you know if it works without it? (I've lost that disc long ago but it works fine without it in XP).. thx
  12. I use this http://www.poscope.com/search.php?q=PoKeys55-T I'm amazed I seam to be the only one using it :P It has an intuitive GUI which is good enough for setting up toggle switches, rotaries and axes (mapping them to keyboard macro's, axes are handled as a joystick). You can set up an 8x16 matrix (128 buttons, obviously with a bunch of inputs left)... One can download the GUI software and run it in a demo mode to see what can be done with it.. Standard USB keyboard simulation. Standard USB joystick simulation. 55 digital inputs (can be used as virtual keyboard keys). 55 digital inputs and outputs. 5 analog inputs 10-bit (can be used as virtual joystick axes). up to 25 incremental encoders can be connected up to 2 pcs. 8x8 matrix keyboard can be connected up to 2 pcs. of 8x8 LED matrixes are supported up to 6 PWM outpus tick counter up to 4x20 characters LCD can be connected Software controlled 10-bit analog output. Up to 255 units can be connected to one computer. Intuitive and user-friendly software. Plug-in for Artsofts Mach 3 CNC software available. ps. In my thread about it, one of their developers have hinted that if it becomes popular with DCS pitbuilders they might make a plugin to interface with the LUA export.. Would be nice if they did ;)
  13. Hello! A little question: Will missions created in BS work in LOFC 2.0 when it comes out (single and/or multiplayer missions)? Or will there be a mini upgrade for BS as well to ensure compatability with LOFC2.0 or something? Thx
  14. This is excellent news! A great way to keep their product line together until we get some planes in DCS!! Very good move I thinks! Allthough I'll probably stick to my chopper, I'll definetly enjoy a richer online environment..
  15. Make sure it's connected to it's own usb-port, or to a powered usb-hub. Only thing I can think of..
