  1. As is "finding" MIL power. I find myself looking at RPM and seeing 102% and thinking I'm at MIL only to slide the power up more and see the TGT increase without RPM increase. very puzzling but as we know more heat = more thrust
  2. Also Check this video, pretty sure this is A model so whatever engine that was... But, check the fuel flow and egt gauges, they behave nothing like what we see in dcs. Not even close. Can see the engine gauge pack is a little different in image, but response to throttle and egt should be close right?
  3. Still present in current build. Best way I find to trigger it is to creep up to MIL power slowly, engines will hit 103% but you can push more to bring the EGT to the first red line (680c) Once you are max EGT and max RPM pushing into AB which you are already into on control indicator will fail to light AB.
  4. How deep did Razbam go? I feel the f15 has the most detailed radar but how much? Like this much? If so, you guys deserve an applause. the depth of the radar model should be showcased because if razbam achieved this in game it is amazing.
  5. i am having pitot tube icing almost exactly 15 - 20 min into flight. conditions are 29.94 , 0degC, field elev 1640 @ Tbilisi with a snow storm and about 20kn winds yes, pitot heat switch is on, anti ice switch on. all circuit breakers checked. i tried 2 flights one cold start, and one auto start, same results. it also seems to progress and get worse, after airspeed dies, vert velocity freezes up, and finally altimeter freezes. ( pretty cool to see ED sim'ed the static port ice effect also ) another bug, when i auto started my fuel pressure gauge stayed at 0. then the next flight i cold started, and the fuel gauge bounced around a bit then stayed pegged at max. i even did ground repair between flights and it didnt fix anything.
  6. default in the WT page are 235 for pilot and cpg but you can check and or change
  7. Always felt the ah64 was slow. About 7min mark, he says they were flying 140kn at 90% Q With empty rocket pods and hangers. Also says they were Q limited so can assume moderate weather. Noted he says 140kn true. So GS would have been 120kn @ 90Q
  8. I have noticed that unlike the other helo's when the force trim is pressed(momentary) the ah64 does not ignore inputs like the other helo's until the stick is centered. with the ah64 you can continue to apply inputs to cyclic after a FT press, other helo's implementation of "central positions trim" the cyclic goes dead until you "pick it up" again at center. I would like to know if this is intentional, a issue with FT in ah64 or this could be a bug?

    cbu-97's

a release at mach 0.9 with about 25 deg dive seems to get the job done. i've done faster like M 1.10 but maybe transonic comes into play not sure, M 0.90 seems to be the sweet spot with a 1200ft burst.
  10. not much draining power, engine runs of magneto's, you can even turn off the main power switch and still fly. try turning on the lights, landing light... ect. you will see amp draw.
  11. I believe you box STO Then press pb NEW which then turns into STORE which you then press again to store the map. The pb NEW without STO boxed only recalls the last built map, ie. OLD/NEW
  12. A nice way of knowing what petro is reporting in target list as an observed target or an actionable target. ie. to quickly distinguish targets on the target list as, obstructed, or clear LOS. something like; TANK APC ( TANK ) ( IFV ) ( ) being obstructed LOS targets
  13. was explaining that with the KA50 if I see a set of wheels or hull through some trees with <=60% obscuration the missile will still fly past the trees and make the kill. the hellfire however seems to need a football field of open sight lines for the hellfire to run down... test for yourself.
  14. Why do hellfires blow up when passing anywhere close to trees? but the KA50 and Mi28 missiles are pretty much tree blind? Is this a fuse related issue? or are hellfires just to sensitive?
  15. cbu 97 1000ft HOF or wind will drift them way off, in the A10C option is 900ft HOF. for cbu 87 HOF makes for larger pattern, like a shotgun.
  16. Had this happen today also, was about 900m at takeoff 760mb and 15c clear sky I was heavy at 28000 Made IGE hover check and was in max continuous bracket on engine pressure gauge. Got to 250kph with a 10kn headwind and setup for cruise, then get warning, fire left engine. Fire bottle discharged on the left engine and TIT peaked on left engine like fire bottle did nothing. So i Jett my stores, reduce power and pitch for 150kph looking for something flat to roll land on. Then the oddest thing, left engine stabilize and both are now about 980c TIT. So now I'm like ok, I'm less then 2 min from the FARP I took off from so I turn downwind and make for home, thinking I got good power. Now I'm low on speed after the 180 turn so I pull some power and I'm not getting much so I set emergency power and things get better, I'm climbing and speeding up. ...fade to black... and I'm a fireball soon to be a stain on some field. Was very odd, considering I had a normal flight earlier on the session.
  17. Not to beat a dead horse, but I've believe the issue is tied directly to the Magnetic Variance adjustment. I've done 3 flights all 1hr+ with little drift now, the startup is bog standard but you will need to switch gyro compass to Magnetic then make the adjustment to align for MV. Whatever MV you spawn with is not correct, it is for the map but its bugged. You have to compare the gyro comp and the mag comp then adjust, this must be done before the alignment completes. From what I see it is about half of what it should be, when showing MV to be 7.4 you need to dial for 15 MV then when alignment is complete check gyro comp and mag comp, fine tune, then switch to GyroComp mode. I have done this successfully with "quick" and 2x with Norm alignments. note this still results with the AC POS CAL DATA warning light on the second you go weight off wheels.
  18. Make your delivery at 500AGL and 500KN The dispensers stretch out like 300ft, then pop up and do their thing. Its like pulling a plow with a tractor, nothings left standing.
  19. Its pretty clear, it's not time to impact but 8 seconds to optimum range. Ie. You can shoot now. But I will say, aug9 is pretty optimistic.
  20. I would say what we have in DCS is 1/3 radar performance and probably 1/2 missiles, sams included.
  21. This is an old persistent bug. The harrier had the same issue, might still have it with gbu31. The max range is more like the start of the possibility the bomb will hit, and that possibility starts at 0%. When you drop at 2% or what have you, the bomb ap trys to save its potential energy ( altitude) but loses air speed until it can't fly then drops dumb. Problem i think is the ap seems to try for a high impact angle (almost vertical), this becomes a problem it can't resolve when released at slow speed or long distance. Since the release queue changes to the harrier hits are 99% with gbu 38/54 that's no laser 54s Although the gbu on harrier still seem to go for high angle its less of issue because the queue is fixed. Funny that if you release late the bomb Flys past target then does some funny banana maneuver to fly back but still makes the hit.
  22. I've had this same bug for awhile now, never able to intentionally reproduce. Fov / ir/ccd hotas commands don't respond. AG mode Marm on and pod on LDDI Sometimes switching master modes and making DDI blank before going back to AG resolves it.
  23. Going EA with just a refined FM, 3d model, and pit would be sufficient for me. After all it is the bones on which all else is supported. I do stress refined, fuel, electrics, hyd oil, ect. one gripe I have with the f14 is the constant changes to the FM, it's like learning a new bird every time. Any additional systems to a refined FM wouldn't drastically change its behavior, so it's just then a matter of getting cool new toys.
