  1. Thanks for the reply. I tried the above and no joy. My direct deposit hits at midnight. Looks like I'll be supporting the developers more than I had originally planned. ;)
  2. Well, I'm having problems and I'm an upgrade owner. I reinstalled BS1 and copied my SN from the purchases page in my profile and it said invalid. I installed the BS module in DCSW and tried both my BS1 SN and my BS2 upgrade SN. Both resulted in the sim closing. It seems I'll have to pay $49.99(paid for BS1) and $12.99 (upgrade when on sale) and now a further $39.99 for the BS2 all-in-one just to get the SN. I did buy mine in 2008 though, perhaps my SN's are just too old? I love you guys, but over $100 and all I want to do is fly the KA-50 in DCSW? Please tell me I'm an idiot and overlooked something really simple. P.S. Next helicopter a Hind please. (I'd pay $200 for that) :)
  3. Nemeth Designs did a great Hind for MFS4. Admittedly, no weapons were modeled, but I bet they would know it out of the park if you two could share notes. I'm kinda a Hind fanatic. :)
  4. I have tried two clean installs and I keep getting this error. The game will load, but if I click on options, I get an error message and it will not allow to adjust options. VERY frustrating. Here is the black box info. *edit - Only after the patch. The 1.0 game works perfectly. I'd like to play multi though. :( LOP: false locale: en EN # trying: ././data/scripts/./optionsData.lua # failed: ././data/scripts/./optionsData.lua # trying: ././data/scripts/BS/optionsData.lua # success: ././data/scripts/BS/optionsData.lua # trying: ././data/scripts/./options.lua # success: ././data/scripts/./options.lua options data successfully loaded Key "miniHUD" not found in destination table Key "birds" not found in destination table Key "optionsView" not found in destination table Key "altTrimmingMethod" not found in destination table Key "sound" not found in destination table Error: ..\blackshark\modules\me_options.lua:2157: attempt to index local 'destTable' (a nil value) Stack traceback: ->stack: ..\blackshark\modules\me_options.lua in line 2157 in func: traverse ->stack: ..\blackshark\modules\me_options.lua in line 2162 in func: traverse ->stack: ..\blackshark\modules\me_options.lua in line 2173 in func: loadSavedO ptions ->stack: ..\blackshark\modules\me_options.lua in line 279 in func: ->stack: .\BlackShark\BlackShark.lua in line 234 in func: setMusicVolume(0) -> 1 # trying localized: ./../scripts/input/./InputEvents.lua # success: ./../scripts/input/./InputEvents_en.lua # trying localized: ./data/text/./AboutGeneral.txt # failed: # trying localized: ./data/text/BS/AboutGeneral.txt # success: ./data/text/BS/AboutGeneral.txt # trying localized: ./data/text/./AboutCredits.txt # failed: # trying localized: ./data/text/BS/AboutCredits.txt # success: ./data/text/BS/AboutCredits.txt getLocalizedDirName, trying: ./../Missions/Campaigns/BS/en_EN getLocalizedDirName, trying: ./../Missions/Campaigns/BS/en getLocalizedDirName, success: ./../Missions/Campaigns/BS/en getLocalizedDirName, trying: ./../Missions/Campaigns/BS/en_EN getLocalizedDirName, trying: ./../Missions/Campaigns/BS/en getLocalizedDirName, success: ./../Missions/Campaigns/BS/en removing ./../Temp/tempMission.miz Error: ..\blackshark\modules\me_options.lua:2064: attempt to concatenate field '?' 5. Digital Integration's HIИD will always be my favorite. Until Eagle Dynamics makes one of course. (hint hint)
  6. Why not the export version of the Mi-24, the Mi-35? It has a glass cockpit and surely there are many 3rd world countries that would pay for a simulator "on the cheap". Google it, it looks like a joy to fly.
  7. Different spots on delay. I am still placing objects, so I havn't actually had any of them take off yet. So, the 1st group is there okay, then about a minute in - the next group just pops up on the empty pads.
  8. I work alot so it's taking me a while to get the time to polish the missions like I want. Most of my time has been more like "I really want to do this - now how do I do it" and mucking about with triggers and such. I am working on a mission now I won't mind posting when I get it finished. Actually maybe you gents can assist with a small problem I am having. I have a farp near a town in the mountains. I want two ka-50s and two mi-24vs to occupy the 4 landing areas. This will be my base template for all future missions in this paticular region. However, when the game loads, all I see are two copters (one group). After about a minute or so, the other group (two helis) appear suddenly. I don't have them on delay or anything. I know I can use a couple of static groups and probably get around this, but I would much rather have two active groups. This is a time saver, because sometimes the hinds will fly with you, and sometimes not. Any ideas? BTW thanks for clueing me in to the fact I can arrange troops in a group individually. I just assumed, and never even attempted to.
  9. I got a hind to 'appear' to drop off 8 troops by placing a farp near the target area. Then you use a trigger (create group when aircraft altitude is less than) to activate the troopers. Trick is, the altitude seems to be ASL. So, where I placed my FARP (near one of the airfields) I had to set the altitude to 35 meters. Anything else wouldn't trigger the troops. Also, do not make one group of eight troopers. They will spawn in a strung out formation. I placed 8 seperate groups in a tightly knit group. Added bonus to this method, is you can control where each trooper goes. In my test mission, the troopers split up into groups of 2 and seized the major areas of the airfield. You could just as easily direct each trooper to take cover or 'appear' to load into a nearby transport truck or apc. =) In case you couldn't tell. I want the mi-24v sim the most of all. =) Practicing now to make some truely awesome insertion missions. Just wish I could fly the bogeyman instead of the AI. =(
  10. Please release the Mi-24V in a timely manner. The Nemeth Designs Hind for FS9 is fun and all, but to have this aircraft (my favorite of all time) would truely be a joy for me. Flying insertions in EECH v1.11 is all fine and dandy, but it is hardly a study sim. Evacuating casualties from a FARP to a proper airfield. Unloading rockets into a treeline before evacuating special forces from a compromised position. Deploying special forces for patrol in inaccessable terrain. Listening to the chatter in a coop game as your escort desperately tries to keep you alive to meet mission objectives. Laying down suppressing fire as your wingman descends to recover an ejected pilot that has been avoiding enemy patrols for hours. Descending to rescue an ejected pilot as your wingman provides cover. I enjoy the flying as much as the exploding of various objects. Additional requests I would make in regards to this helicopter. 1) Good AI on the gunner crewman. The 'WSO' in Hind was superhuman. 2) Variable action. On at least a couple of missions in a campaign, you should complete your task with no enemy contact. Instill a sense of 'you never know what to expect'. 3) Add the Moskova to available ships. I hope I spelled it right, this is the helicopter carrier. Is it called an assault ship or something? I know the thread title was intended for fighters, but seeing as people were sneaking other stuff in there, I thought I would add my feelings. When I get a hang of the abris and flare system, I hope to see some of you in online flights. Thank you for reading.
