  1. IMO a 970m will not be enough for VR. On the other hand, careful because VRAM is VERY important in DCS 2.0 and (see my specs) MSI laptops only have 3.0 GB which is not enough. Ensure you get 4.0GB.
  2. Rest of issues also already reported IIRC
  3. Really great news. I'm sure we'll enjoy them very much. From now, learning will be a lot easier with these missions. Thank you very much.
  4. Serial: 14045 Location: Spain (at least sometimes)
  5. I'm sorry but I don't understand why you say so. I will certainly keep buying all his missions at least if I keep enjoying flying them as much as I do now. How do you think I would feel after crashing one time after another because I'm simply not doing right something that is not written anywhere and, therefore I will never be able to learn? The answer is easy: bored. It's evident he can do something to help us not getting stuck and bored and keep buying. I agree with you... Tracks could be an easy way of learning a bit more by watching how he does the job, but with videos he can emphasize what he considers what we have to master to be able to qualify, and also explain what he's doing.
  6. I just watched your BTF02 video and let me ask you for a couple things: -Video quality is poor. It's really hard to read anything inside the cockpit, and this I think, will be very important in several videos. I'm sure you have already noticed that. -It would be great if you could focus these videos as an instructor, because, at least in my case, what I need is to learn first, and once I have trained enough, try to qualify. Some nice instructions on how to do it correctly or where/when you have to be careful with something. I now most things we should have learned them reading the manual, but others, you know, it's a mater of practice. There is where I need advice. This you could do it with some labels but of course it would be awesome with voice instructions inserted in the video. Thank you
  7. Hi all I had to re-install DCSW from the last complete version I had downloaded previously (1.2.1.5970), and since then I'm not able to install FC3 any more. If apply latest update (1.2.2 7204), the system will recognize my FC3 install file as too old (the only one you can download from ED servers is 1.2.2.7122_19). If I don't apply latest update, the system will then tell me that I can't install because now DCSW is older then FC3 version. I guess the solution is simply to wait until ED changes FC3 installation files, but that means I can't fly until then. Is there any workaround? Thanks in advance.
  8. Hi I used to have those kind of problems with my SST profiles, and I found out I had two different problems that made my X-52 not to work correctly. I think that you should first check that there's no double button assignment both in SST software and internal DCSW profile. I had set the same button in two different ways, one in SST software and the other one inside DSCW, and of course that only caused me problems (I didn't know that some joystick buttons were already assigned to a command or function in DCSW, so even if you never assigned any button in DCSW, you should check if there is any conflict). The other thing I found that caused me problems, is modifiers setup/configuration In the Options Control Menu in DCSW. I used to import my X-52 settings after installing a new DCS update, so I didn't have to go through the whole process again, and since DCSW was released, I always had to check out if modifiers were correctly set. I found several times (if not all of them) that I had highlighted in red color every button combination I had assigned with a modifier, showing that something wasn't correctly set. (I use pinkie button as a modifier, but it wasn't listed as a modifier). I had to set my pinkie switch as a modifier again, and that solved the problem. Besides that, I haven't had any issue with my X-52 and it's working perfectly now, with both SST software running and JackBauer's profile set as default. Hope it helps.
  9. Hi everyone. I've also noticed that in Su-25t command Post Strike mission, one Georgian Su-25 got chased by Russian Su-30's, and even though there was no pilot, and had both engines on fire, it kept climbing, at a high speed, as if it would never stop. After a few minutes DCS also froze and crashed. I guess it's the same problem B25Mitch had previously found, but not only related to the new models. BTW I'm running 6288 version.
  10. Well, you're totally right. Only 5 days. But it seemed to me such a long time.:smilewink: I'm sure you understand the sometimes one can exaggerate a little after a moment of great relief and happiness. :cheer3nc:
  11. Great Job After a week or so waiting, I couldn't believe it!!!! You've done a great job. Thank you so much. Also very well done with the updater. It is a major improvement. Definitely I now can think about buying new modules. Before it was no point because of bad performance. FC3 :joystick: :pilotfly:
  12. I just got my TrackIR 4 smashed against the floor and both plastic parts of the main body are broken  It still works fine i.e. the electronics are ok, but I'm not able to put it on top of my laptop screen any more, and the dark front - side dark plastic cover has a huge crack just in the middle of the sensor. I wonder if anyone has an "old TrackIR 4" that doesn't work any more and would like to sell it for replacement parts. It would be the only solution because Naturalpoint does not fix or send parts for TIR 4. Thank you!
  13. In my case I get those zig zag shadows only when setting shadows quality to medium or low. Setting shadow quality to high brings smooth in-cockpit shadows.
  14. Can it be used directly into DCS World? In case it can't, what would I have to do to get it working correctly? Thanks for this fantastic profile I've been using since the very first beta until now. Edit. Ok solved. I only hat to change button 6 from "switch" to "modifier". That was all.
  15. Crosswind landings in Spain OMG:captain::shocking::fear:
  16. Check my specs below. It's a Clevo model called PH170M It's not as expensive as Asus or Alienware and you can still consider it a "gaming laptop". Of course mine is 15 months old and I couldn't afford a better GPU. Newer ones would come with GTX 560M or better (up to GTX6XXM soon). Don't forget to choose always a GTX model, not a GT, and make sure it has DDR5 memory. In my opinion, graphics amount of memory and HDD capacity are not the most important parameters you should consider . Processor + GPU model + SSD. Thats all you need. Ram would be, in my opinion, a minimum of 4 GB. Over that it becomes secondary. As I said, my GPU is a bit low for DCS, but you can OC it. With everything turned to max except water and cockpit shadows (Full HD, VSync On, AA and AF 8x, HDR on, cockpit displays 512), it runs DCS smooth enough (+40 fps average). GTX 570 or higher would be my choice right now. Anyway, if you still consider spending as much of $2000, i'd take a look to Alienware and Asus gaming laptops. Clevo (Sager, Xotic PC in USA for example) is not that expensive but you'll notice that finishes are not the same. Of course I agree with all those who don't like gaming laptops, but if there weren't any, I would only have the chance to fly a couple times a month. I need mobility.
  17. Not till the end, but almost (I guess). I had to give up with the voice over version due to several DCS crashes I had once I got rid of the artillery site. I changed to the version without voices and I got to the part of the mission where you have to attack two columns of armoured vehicles. After that I had nothing to attack with, so I decided it was enough. I'll keep trying to end the mission soon. I want you to know that I'm enjoying very much your missions and that we are all expecting that you keep going on with new ones. Great job man!
  18. I don't think accelerating time has any effect in the mission. I've done it several times and nothing wrong happened to me.

    Score Window

  21. You really did a great job! Thanks for sharing it with us. Can't wait. I'll be
  22. It didn't work with Chrome. I had to change to IE9
  23. You were right about not trying to recover original altitude. For me that was the fastest way to get to angels 15, and receiving the order to execute the defensive spiral before reaching MOA's limit. My problem was that I always intended to maintain airspeed faster than 200 knots and I thought I had to recover original altitude to angels 10. Now my new problem is executing correctly the defensive spiral an the lazy eight....:( Thanks for your help. Edit. I Finally got Q-! But I didn't do it so well with the spiral dive and the lazy eight though. Could you give me any indication?
  24. The trk file is ok in my system, so I guess there's still a bug inside the track system in DCSWH. Well what I'm going to try is to make a video instead and I'll give you a link. Thanks again! --------------------- So here's BFT06 video. I've noticed that head movements (TrackIr) have not been recorded in the track file... Another little bug I guess. It would be great If you could check it. Mmm...Video quality is not good enough to read anything in the cokpit. I hope it won't be a problem. Thanks
