  1. Granted, I believe the sounds need some love, but here’s another video that showcases the Jug next to a lot of our other favorites from the sim. Listen to the 109s, Spitfire, Mustang, etc. and then the P-47 at 18:06. Totally different sound profile from the others. And yes, I’m aware of the obvious V-12 vs radial, but listen even to the difference relative to the 190. Interesting if nothing else, and man, all that eargasm!
  2. Apologies for a slight hijacking, but the folks looking here may also enjoy this really cool Jug vintage training video:
  3. A guy did a clear canopy mod that’s available in the user files that looks really nice for those who prefer the clear.
  4. I’ve had great success marking the center of the group with the TGP (area or point) and dropping CCRP. If it’s a rather large group, drop a pair and watch the fireworks.

  7. Same. Missile tone stays after exiting A-A mode. Had to just turn the missile volume knob off.

  9. I’m not familiar with the slew mod, but I have the TM Warthog and am assuming you’re also using the little finger stick on the throttle. I put a good curve on the axes, a small dead zone, and set the saturations to 70-80. This makes for very controllable slewing in both the Viper and the Hornet. I’m not at my home machine right now, so I can’t give you my exact numbers, but play around with that as a start.
  10. Are you using buttons or axes for slewing, Mr. Burns?
  11. Good info, I was wondering what the reasoning was.
  12. Roger. Thank you for clearing it up, sir. Edit: boards out on final? Before touchdown you’re saying?
  13. Help us idiots out, Mover. What’s the proper use of trim in the jet, especially with landing?
  14. I put a curve on both my slew axes and also limit the saturation to like 70 or 80. I like how it works (using Warthog HOTAS)
  15. If the target is beyond 10 miles you would just use standard A-A mode and lock him up on the radar, correct?
  16. Not saying it can’t happen, but when they modified/added bindings for the Hornet it did not require redoing everything (for me anyway).
  17. ED (and any developer for that matter) will never make everyone happy. Just the nature of the business. But from what I’ve seen on here and fb, the majority of the community is happy with the Viper being released as it is. And that’s all ED can do is try to do what will please the majority. I myself am very happy they released it and having a ball with it so far. I look forward to the developments to come.
  18. Yep, I’m glad they released it instead of waiting. There’s more than enough here already to start working with and enjoy. I’m having fun and I know the fixes and additions are coming.
  19. Make sure the MIDS LVT knob by the avionics switches is turned on.
  20. He’s not asking why his FPM is dropping, he’s asking why it’s out of his field of view at the very bottom of the HUD.
  21. The boresight cross isn’t going to move...I’m still confused what you’re getting at and I think you may need to reread the OP.
  22. I’m not following. I don’t see what any of that has to do the position of his head/view.
  23. I only fly in VR, so it’s a little hard to be sure from a 2D screenshot, but certainly looks to me like he’s sitting low.
