According to windows10 icue is uninstalled and I've also manually deleted some leftover, though empty, folders just in case. I haven't tried flying the hornet or reinstalling the F14 module yet so I guess I could try those. Once upon a time I tried to install a jvoy device and though I uninstalled it the device still shows up in DCS. Is it possible that's causing these crashes?

Update: this is going to sound silly and amateur-ish, but a recent string of very frustrating PC instabilities, including these F-14 crashes though none during my F18 play, seems to have been solved by completely uninstalling Corsair iCUE. My Windows10 system has been living harmoniously with iCUE for a while now so maybe it's a recent version of iCUE or Windows10 that aren't doing well together. And maybe I could've gotten away with just turning off sensor logging or some other minor adjustments to iCUE but for now I'll just keep it uninstalled. Thanks for the help.

disabled selective suspend for USB in windows power settings? : done disabled the "allow windows to turn this device off to save power" option for your usb devices and usb controllers in device manager? : done except I didn't see my 3 hotas devices under the USB section when I'd dis/reconnect so I just disabled the power setting for the usb 3.0 hub they go in. I didn't save my controller bindings because I didn't yet look up how to reinstall just the f14 module.

Well I didn't remove my GPU so does this mean my GPU crashed? NVIDIA drivers crashed? CPU issue? How should I do this without losing all my F14 settings/bindings?

I've been playing f18 module last few weeks with almost no issues and now F14 module crashes constantly. Everytime the game crashes it screws my entire system to where I can't even restart without hard shutdown. None of these would effect F18 module but I tried turning off OBS, then turning off XMP (ram overclock), then I turned off PBO (CPU overclock), then I ran out of things to change and still crashed. Please help! @Goblinthis is awesome I've also done the damper mod for the rudder portion which now accentuates the light springiness of the brakes. I was hoping someone would've paved the way with a mini damper mod for the brakes as well but I guess not yet. Do you have to have a set of spares for the brake mod/upgrade you did? I'd copy-paste it into my setup if I could.

I have a warthog and hornet stick on the warthog base now. If I upgrade to a mongooscm2 base then I can't use the paddle on my sticks anymore? :9

Bob I have 3x 970 evo plus drives in my x570 aorus master MB, 3900x, 2080ti. Should I be worried about having 3 NVMe drives bottlenecking me?

2080ti owner here, 3950x, 64gb ram @3600, 970 evo plus SSDs. DCS normal and VR performance has always been frustrating. Since this is a DCS bottleneck will getting a 3090 GPU even help? I see this is a brute force solution to DCS performance. Thanks!

Noob here. When Iron Mike says "The chaff resistance for the missiles has been increased" does that mean that the bandit's chaff is more effective against the missile and therefore missile is less effective, or does it mean that the missile is less fooled by chaff and therefore missile is more effective? Also why is C "better" in game than A? Thanks a lot!

Just encountered this bug (3 aircraft in a row) today after having played 10 DCS sessions with about 2 f-14 cold starts each in the past. Human RIO and I go shot down in MP server, respawned in f14 #1 cranked right engine stuck at ~25%, jumped in f14 #2 cranked right engine stuck at ~25%, jumped in f14 #3 cranked left engine first no problem then cranked right engine stuck at ~25%.

Just received my TPR pedals and they seem great except for the centering jitteriness; really surprised the centering force isn't damped by Thrustmaster. Anyway I'll be ordering a 10" shock from ebay and like this bracket (linked earlier) though I'm open to black brackets. Can y'all make suggestions on what fasteners I need?

Are these still available for sale? I'm looking for new rudder pedals and noticed these mentioned in a review but can't find a real website for them online.

Is brake pressure gauge still not working? Just hopped in the cat and on shore takeoff training instructor tells me to press the brakes and check brake pressure on the brake pressure indicator. Nothing is changing on this gauge.

Update: Got impatient and purchased a Vive Pro Eye. It has been great fun so far but I'm a bit underwhelmed by the FOV and refresh rate; I'm pretty sure I'll be returning it. For the first time I'm considering a PIMAX headset. Does anyone have either of the 5K or 8K models and could you comment on DCS-specific experience including your hardware and FPS/hz?

I ordered the Valve Index but steam didn't take any payment and instead sent me a confirmation email with 8-weeks wait time warning. I guess I'm waiting. But maybe the rumored future HP/Valve headset will be on the horizon at that point. What anyone consider waiting for that nowadays? Patience for a KP? You think I do anything fancy? Just a normal OC, nothing exotic. For now... 1) I have a 3950x so I'm hoping I wouldn't be CPU-limited though I'm not sure if VR in general takes advantage of cores/threads or single-thread performance is important. Thanks for the info. I thought Rift S would be $200-400 but it's $660! Might as well go for Valve Index for $880 at that point. For DCS only would you consider a Pimax for FOV/resolution? I've never flown with a VR headset so it's hard to put these things into context. I have a 34" curved ultrawide monitor, 21:9 aspect ratio: and I know I couldn't stand going back to a lesser FOV. Maybe Pimax FOV is that good, too? You would pick the Valve Index over another something with a larger FOV? Or you wouldn't wait for the rumored new HP/Valve headset?

TL;DR which headset should I get in Q2 2020? Overclocked 2080ti KP owner here, thinking about splurging on a VR headset. Leaning heavily towards Valve Index because of Half-Life:Alyx synergy but will end up using it many more hours on DCS assuming DCS with VR is as awesome as they say.
