  1. I host the WWII 'Clash of Wings' server 24/7 and it's designed to feel quite dynamic to pilots. However, the AI bombers run their missions regardless of whether the server is active with pilots or empty. Does anyone know a script that limits AI to spawn in only when pilots are active? Thanks!
  2. "TF-51 should shoot something, newbies should have some free warbird from where they can shoot, like SU-25T does for modern aircraft" Totally agree. Wish I could make it happen!
  3. Does anyone know of a way to despawn AI pilots that have exited their airplanes? For example, if an AI plane is taxiing and gets hit, the pilot will exit and stand on the ground. The burning plane will eventually despawn leaving the pilot behind. A subsequent AI plane will 'see' that pilot, stop. and not complete its mission. Plus it's kinda weird having stranded pilots hanging around. I know a bit of MOOSE scripting and have tested :InitCleanUp( ) but it will remove a stranded plane, but not the pilot. Any ideas? Thanks!
  4. Thanks! We love the warbirds and are hoping to expand the community even more than it has over the last year. :)
  5. Hi Everyone, It's been evident for some time now that with the current DCS multiplayer servers available, it's hard for guys to learn WWII flying, tactics, BFM, etc. who just have the TF-51 or who own a single DCS warbird. All other servers at the moment require the WWII assets pack and either the Normandy map or the Channel map. That's a fairly hefty investment for someone who isn't sure the warbirds are for them. A couple of us have put together a Caucasus based server/mission that contains all the WWII airplanes, including the TF-51 and the I-16. No assets pack required. It's called 'Clash of Wings' on multiplayer, SRS and Tacview are enabled, as are black dot-labels for easier spotting. It's very similar to the old Burning Skies server for those who remember. A search of WWII or Clash will pull it up in DCS multiplayer. Discord is here: https://discord.gg/cnagNVr The goal is to expand the already amazing WWII player base and, when they're ready, have pilots move on to more advanced servers like Storm of War and LFDM. Feel free to reach out with any questions. Thanks!
  6. Hey everyone, I host 'Clash of Wings' WWII server on MP and I'm trying to create a looped radio transmission when an enemy enters a trigger zone over an airfield. I have the trigger and flags set so that the loop starts on queue, but I can't figure out the flag logic to turn it off when all enemies exit the zone. I remember that Eekz had this set up perfectly on Burning Skies when enemies approached a target area. Does anyone have a tutorial or suggestions on how to make this work? Thanks!
  7. Thanks for the reply. The dumb thing is that I can run this from my home PC no problem - firewall, router, etc. all properly set, but I only have one computer and can't run the server and fly at the same time. I'm trying to host it on Amazon Web Services. They have a firewall of course, but I have everything set identical to a friend, but still no joy. The difference is that he's running it from Win10 and I'm on Win Server 2016 (and I don't have the expertise to load Win 10 to the cloud.)
  8. Hello, I am trying to host DCS OpenBeta Server on Win Server 2016. I have the TCP/UDP ports 10308 and 8088 opened and the app is enabled in the Firewall. However when I try to access via the DCS Gameservers website, I see the server, but it says it's offline. For the life of me I can't figure out how to open the ports. I've even tried disabling the firewall, but no joy. Any thoughts or tutorials? Thank you!!
  9. Haha, yep, unfortunately Win Server 2016 blocks Chrome and Edge. Go figure. Can be worked around, but takes time. I've given it ++ time, but no joy. DCS DED definitely launches normally, but the web GUI won't load. I have a friend who launches DED on his web server, but then links to it from his desktop web GUI. He'll walk me through it and I'll let you know.
  10. Apologies if this has been asked before, but I'm trying to host DCS on a Win Server 2016 cloud based platform. The browser is Internet Explorer. The updater utility appears to be properly configured, is connected to the Internet and DCS Update servers, but all I get is a blank screen when I launch the local Web GUI. Any thoughts? Thank you!
  11. WWII has become very popular with two excellent servers (LFDM and Storm of War) and the current free trial. Please, can the 'fantasy' and racing skins be removed from the Mission Editor (or at least allow them to be removed)? Both server hosts have removed skin selection because a very few guys choose to fly these inaccurate skins, ruining the experience for everyone. This means guys (and gals) can't choose a squadron specific skin to fly together and help with air to air identification. Thanks!
  12. Is there a tutorial for hosting a mission on the temporary server in Multiplayer? I can host missions when I run DCS through Steam, but I cannot when I try through stand alone DCS World Open beta. I've opened my Win10 firewall ports, assigned a permanent IP address, and have forwarded the ports in my router, but still no joy. Thanks!
  13. I believe there’s a setting that constrains the mouse to the VR window. I’m away from home at the moment so I can’t double check.
  14. Totally agree. I’m using a Rift and get decent performance, but only after a lot of tweaking and minimizing settings.
  15. I use a 27" curved screen gaming monitor set at 2560X1440. The card has no trouble at this resolution and all settings on high.
