    DCS: Black Shark
  1. @ NRG-Vampire and beczl: This is awesome work! You guys do pretty nice modelling, really. And one question to you guys. How do you get the models into DCS:BS? Can you post a quick tutorial or at least some hints where to find the proper tools or something about how to translate the 3D data into DCS:BS-3D-format? I really would like to do some modeling on my own. I am using lightwave3d which is pretty versatile in terms of 3d formats and also exports collada, which is (will become) the new 3d model standard (actually it is XML, so I could write a proper XSLT to translate the data if DCS:BS relies on XML). I would be verrrrry glad if you could help me out :-D greetings pilots!
  2. Try using Catalyst-Drivers and ATI Tray Tools Hi, I would recommend to un-install your CCC (Catalyst Control Center), because: I personally don't like this app. It's cluttered with GUI-stuff and it is sooooooo slooooooow. Startup-time is annoying and I don't like the fact, that the .net-framework has to be run in the background to change the settings of my GRAPHICS CARD !? Why should I run a pretty fast system (4GB RAM, QuadCore, Radeon 4870 1 GB) and loose some memory and CPU because of a framework that drives my GPU? I use the ATI Tray Tool (V 1.6.9.1374) on a 64-bit Vista Ultimate. It works perfectly, fast and stable. I can easily manage my game-configs (that was the main topic in this thread, I think :-) , set per-game-AA and AF and am able to over- or underclock my Card. Yes, I do some underclocking :-D When in normal Windows-mode or working in Photoshop, Illustrator and the likes, I underclock my Radeon to about 50% GPU clock and 50% memory clock. This saves a huge amount of power (which is expensive in these days :-( ) and it stretches the lifetime of my GPU. BUT: One of the most important features of The ATI Tray Tools (ATT) is, that I can easily(!) manage my FAN-speeds. My card NEVER exceeds 72° C !!! In normal mode, the card is heating up to a max of 62° C. Before I was using ATT, the idle-temp of my Radeon 4870 was about 80° C to 82° C. remember: lifetime of your card :-D I hope this will help you to decide if you will use ATT in the future. I did and am VERY comfortable with it. greetings from Myself
  3. THX for this hint Giant. I did not recognize (yet) that VAC is a non-non-fee app :-D I'll give Shoot a try. THX again for the link. cheerio!
  4. Hi Guys and Girls, watch this: This guy is using VOICE-COMMANDS to manage his Ka-50. This works also with commands for wingmen... Amazing! How can I enable this feature and do I have to train my voice-recognition? Pleeeeeze... I wann do this also. It is much faster and easier than to send commands via the F-keys. btw: I love DCS Black Shark. Still trying to manage proper flying. Maybe I will manage the startup-procedure one day :-D Greetings from Myself [edit]Sorry guys. My first search did not reveal this threat: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=37722 There, the VAC is described... You need a small application installed and Microsoft Speech recognition enabled[/edit]
