Cannot disable "Hand Controllers Use Cockpit Stick" in VR
SebastianR replied to FlyAnyTime's topic in Virtual Reality
Edit with notepad: Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Config\options.lua ["hand_controllers"] = false -
yes, just make steamvr as default openxr and enjoy steamlink
-
Or you can try steamlink. It's free and works great.
-
Try Link via wifi and use the cable connected to quest charger to keep charge
-
Yes, sometimes orange oval appears for a couple of seconds and after that, normal desktop is visible
-
Things that are not needed: --force_enable_VR --force_OpenXR OpenXR Tools for Windows Connect oculus via link, start DCS Multithreading and tick vr in options. Nothing more to do

DCS Stand-alone in VR through Steam Link and Steam VR
SebastianR replied to RafaPolit's topic in Virtual Reality
When steam link is active, configuration options are activated within steamvr settings. First two lines are in auto. Set to manual. 150 first, max the second one -
DCS Stand-alone in VR through Steam Link and Steam VR
SebastianR replied to RafaPolit's topic in Virtual Reality
Steamlink with manual settings. Bitrate 150mb, encode bar full right. No openxr toolkit (eats some fps), steam vr 200%, dlss quality. This is my actual quest 3 settings -
It took me a while to figure out what was blocking the launch of the simulator.
-
Try removing: ..\Program files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\SteamVR\pico_driver.log Then: "The last version of Streaming assistant in high (not ultra), sharp bar at 100, 150mb/s and any usb 3.0 wire was the best and stable image with my pico 4. Also, on headset you must set on battery saver because it’s increased the resolution on the center of image"
-
Black screen when you launch dcs?
-
???? no, it's works very well. What's the problem?
-
When I can't keep 72, I limit to 45 with rtss (1/2 x 90hz). it's pretty fluid (although not like full 72). The image quality is the same, with streaming assistant you hardly notice the compression at 150
-
Streaming assistant HD, sharpening, 90hz, usb link and riva tuner at 45fps. No VD and wifi, no oxrtk, no controls, via usb the battery keeps the charge a lot more.
-
Actualy i'm using streaming assistant at 90hz (via usb cable). No openxt tool kit. Steam vr as openxr and cap 45fps via RTSS (Rivatuner Statistics Server) and works well
-
Openxr is MT default
-
Well, this is not the time to suffer with configurations. If the G1 works better, you should get a G2
-
VD recommends Amd 22.11.2 drivers for 5000/6000 series

Really each case is different. I speak only for myself. ryzen 5 5600x, rtx3080 and pico 4. ALVR works best for me. More fluid than the last version of the streaming assistant (which visually improved a lot with respect to the previous one). VD I tried it when version 1.25 worked without drm. The truth was that there was nothing special about it. I used the pico4 with usb and then with a tp-link archer c6. It works almost the same. A little better for wifi. The maximum bitrate that I saw it use is approx 210mb even though it is set to 500mb. Regarding the stuttering, I set everything to be close to 72fps (apache in Marianas is the most graphically demanding 60fps). Also in pico 4 I use battery saver mode because the center looks more defined in the sweet spot. Otherwise ALVR is less noticeable in terms of stuttering than streaming assistant. It is noticeable only looking to the sides at low altitude, where the terrain has to advance very quickly. Looking ahead, no problem. Visual quality is the best I had (I add a list of vr that I had) All the instruments on the panels I can read perfectly well. Image compression using foveated rendering is also very good. Divide the image into 9, the center full resolution, vertical and horizontal low quality, diagonals worse quality. But since the Pico 4's lenses are good, the overall image is very good. The last section is comfort. It is a visor to use for many hours without being annoying on the cheekbones. I say again that each case is unique, I never tried with video amd for example and I know that it is not the same as nvidia in the encode. But if I can say that pico 4 can work very well. Greetings My previous vr: dk2 cv1 x2 htc vive oculus go samsung odyssey samsung odyssey plus hp x2 dell visor lenovo explorer x2 rift s quest 2 pico 4

I'll try it later and tell you
