  1. Texture Issues In the drop window I have the 3GB option selected, and when I boot up I'm asked which option I want to use between Windows or Windows 3GB Doc1.zip
  2. Texture Issues Here's the dcs file (I believe it's the log file you're looking for). dcs.zip
  3. Texture Issues Here's the DXDiag file DxDiag.txt
  4. Texture Issues I've attached several files from my Warthog Temp folder; hopefully I've got the right one in here for you.
  5. Is the DXdiag output in the same folder? Thanks.
  6. I'll give that a try, thanks. After making my selection to the 3GB option (figured out my mistake from earlier), I tried missions again with HIGH presets and my resolution at 1920 x 1200 and am now getting a flickering screen with the Pause/Break box open...and I can't make any selections. The flickering screen will either be the load splash screen or the cockpit. Each time I have to Ctrl+Alt+Del to get out, and the dcs.exe error box appears.
  7. To make sure I'm doing this right, this is what my file looks like now: [boot loader] timeout=30 default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS [operating systems] multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition 3BG" /3GB /noexecute=optin /fastdetect
  8. Made the changes as suggested, but I'm not presented an option to select 3GB during start up. Where should it appear? Thanks. Nitro_74
  9. Texture Issues I'm having some video/texture issues that hopefully someone can help me with. Before I explain the issues I'm having, here's my system spec's: XP SP3 32-bit MSI P45 Platinum LGA 775 Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Wolfdale 3.0GHz Patriot Extreme Performance 4GB DDR2 PC2 6400 EVGA GeForce 9800 GTX+ Superclocked Edition 512MB After installing the latest Beta (I made my purchase yesterday) I fired up the sim and adjusted my video settings to match those I have in Black Shark: presets to HIGH with my resolution set to 1920 x 1200, and adjusted the Res. of Cockpit Displays to 1024 every frame. I then fired up a training mission and was presented with a "collage" of various colors sort of thrown onto the screen. I had to Ctrl Alt Del to close the sim. I then updated my video driver to the current version (6.14.12.6658) dated 7 Jan 11 and fired up the sim again. This time I tried reduced the Res. of Cockpit Displays back to 256, and the presets to MEDIUM with the resolution down to 1600... This time I was able to get into the pit and see the scenery, but it wasn't very detailed and just didn't feel right. I bumped the resolution up to 1920 x 1200 again, leaving the MEDIUM presets, and was presented with that collage of colors again. I'm still able to fire up Black Shark and operate in the sim without any issues, but can't get Warthog to do the same, even running it at the exact same settings as BS. Does anyone have any troubleshooting suggestions, etc.? Thanks. Nitro_74
  10. I've searched through the forum and can't seem to find an answer for this specific problem: I can neither see my buddies server in the game list, nor can I connect to his game by IP, but he can connect to me without any issues. He's port-forwarded 10308 on both TCP and UDP. He did recently discover his port as being stealth, but I can't find anything explaining how to properly open the port. Any suggestions? Thanks. Nitro
  11. My X52 is only a few months old. I borrowed a profile from a friend for both Falcon and BS as launching points for my own profile. I eventually scrapped their entire BS profile and did my best to match the actual controls to my profile. So, it's a fairly simple set up. Nitro
  12. I've run into a recurring issue with my BS, and F4:AF for that matter, profiles in that during flights in each sim, certain button presses locks that command in my HOTAS (continually displayed in the throttle MFD), and eventually locks up my computer. It's not really isolated to one specific button press, though. In BS tonight, for instance, in Mode 1, I hit pinkie+Fire B (Helmet-mounted System On/Off), and it remained displayed in the MFD. Other button presses before this were fine. Yesterday it was pinkie+Fire E (Targeting Mode Reset = Backspace). Falcon's a whole other ball of wax. I have the most current driver and software for the X52. I use a Logitech G15 keyboard and G5 gaming mouse. Does anyone else use a similar set up? I'm curious is perhaps the software loaded for my keyboard and mouse may be interfering. I haven't created any profiles for my keyboard, though. I'm really struggling with this, and can't quite figure out what's causing the issue. If anyone has any insite to this dilemna, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks. Nitro
  13. I've recently installed the latest software and drivers for my X52's profiler, and went ahead and completely re-created my BS profile. I'm only using Mode's 1, 2, 1+pinkie and 2+pinkie, each with their own respective key combos. I've also named each of them differently (NAV, COMBAT, NAV 2, COMBAT 2, respectively). Before updating to the newer software, when I'd load the profile, my throttle MFD would state the mode name (i.e, NAV) then the profile name. Now, with the new software, driver, and profile, when I load the profile, instead of the name of the mode I gave it, it'll now say 'Mode 1', then the profile name. When I rotate the MODE dial, it'll show the different modes at the very top of the MFD, but in the profile window, it'll still say 'Mode 1', then the profile name. And, when I try to clear the profile, the profiler in Windows will show it cleared, but my MFD still shows the profile name. Any ideas? Finally, for whatever reason, be it with the older software or newer version, during BS game play, eventually I hit a button that sort of locks and won't go away on the MFD, or stop functioning in-game, thus preventing all other key presses from properly recongnizing in-game. For instance, earlier today I was testing my newly created profile and hit my Toggle 6 switch. After pressing and releasing, the MFD continued to display the title of that function I gave it "L-140 Laser Warning System Reset", and everything else on the HOTAS ceased to function...all the Fire buttons, Toggles, etc., ceased to function. When trying to close out of BS, it'll now either lock up or close to Windows, but then lock up when I try close the profile. If I try to clear the profile, the profiler will say it has, but the MFD will still show the profile loaded. I'm at a total loss, and am getting really frustrated. I haven't set any macros with my BS profile or advanced buttons. The key hang up in-game hasn't been specific to one particular key either. One day it was my Fire D button with the pinkie switch. Today it was my Toggle 5 switch without the pinkie switch. Please help. I really want to get back into BS with my new HOTAS, but am finding increasingly difficult as of late. Driver Version: 6.0.4.1 Software Version: 6.6.0.38 Thanks, Nitro74 IYAAYAS!
  14. Thanks...have the most current now and all is good with my profile. Nitro74 IYAAYAS
  15. You grabbed that beta version from Saitek's website?
  16. Hmmm, well, I just tried it again and it will recognize the R Alt and R Ctrl, but when I try the R Shift, it doesn't recognize the key stroke at all. So, I have two out of the three working now. Any ideas about the right Shift key?
  17. Thanks. I'm currently using Driver Version: 6.0.4.1 Software Version: 6.0.10.7 Are these the same you're using?
  18. I'm pretty well set with a profile for my new X52, but I've run into a snag that I can't figure out. I'm trying to map the Release Weapon command (R Alt + Space) and Laser Stand-by On/Off command (R Shift + O). When I press the respective key strokes in the programmer window, however, it won't recognize the R Alt and R Shift (and R Ctrl for that matter). Is there a setting I can adjust somewhere that allows the programmer to recognize these key strokes? Thanks Nitro74 IYAAYAS
  19. Recently purchased a new X52 and was messing with profiles when I was informed of the new software, which I downloaded and installed. I've noticed, now, that when you want to print your profile, it's generated in a compressed form of the profile window. Is there any way to get a hold of a picture diagram of the X52 that will allow one to illustrate the various commands and sub-commands per input device on the HOTAS? Thanks Nitro74 IYAAYAS
  20. I've placed all the files from the .zip into the Foxy/Files folder, and downloaded the .tmj and .tmm files into my Cougar. Is there anything else I need to do to get everything working properly? I go into BS, Options, Controls and I'm not seeing much under the Thrustmaster HOTAS column. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. Nitro_74
  21. Are there any realistic (or as realistic as possible) Cougar profiles available for public sharing? I just purchased BS, and would love to get crackin at flyin' as soon as possible. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Nitro_74
