  1. Generally indicating a Key function currently set for a UI task, Go to the drop down menu currently displaying "SA 342 Pilot" and scroll up to the very top which is UI and it will display all keys currently reserved by UI and allow you to either select another key or continue as you wish, however this may well making these changes universal as the UI standardizes certain throughout all aircraft.
  2. Update your Graphics Card Driver
  3. To my mind, the greatest advantage of the "Anton" lies in the resilience of the power unit. Rotary power units can withstand huge damage without being shut down, whereas a conventional linier engine design is pretty much rendered self-destructive scrap by the penetration of any one cylinder which results in piston movement limitation, having the potential to destroy crank and cam journals instantly. However, if a "Dora" pilot fails to use his power availability to avoid such combat damage, he deserves to die in a fiery, smoking heap. All the Anton pilot should be able to is wave him good-bye
  4. Firstly, just read your post, but am several months since you wrote it, (now 11 May 2023) Second, what computer O?S are you on? Third, If you still need help, read on, In DCS, perhaps the most popular method requires 2 (or three) separate programs, vJoy or Virtual Joystick (only the programs drivers are actually needed, other than having access to the program to do an initial configuration taking all of 20 seconds. (however, in you use Win 11 you may not be able to open the program up, hence the second question). I could, until a very recent crash which resulted in a Win 11 reload and my no longer having the ability read vJoy The second program is titled Joystick Gremlin which is the program with which you access and control the key changes. Then, the third program called HidHide (if you choose to use it) which limits the visibility of what is happening in the system, to the system. As far as the vJoy issue is concerned, I am just in the process of trying an alternative program called RSMapper to be used instead of the "Holy Trinity" mentioned above. Let me know how you are doing. Regards Todd Down.
  5. I think a number of the comments above are from people who have never considered or even used these apps, but feel obligated to justify their stance. My take on this 3rd Party functionality is that you produce a profile to control one aircraft, then compare others and amend differences between the comparators (i.e the different approaches to sensor and weapons controls between F16 with long and short duration button activation, and the F18 with pre determined key results based on which other sensors are also involved, by mapping them to the keyboard using Vjoy then link the keyboard back to the HID controllers using Joystick Gremlin and emulating the original Aircraft control setup. The comment about only being limited in the number aircraft you could control, is again not too bright. You can store profiles foe every aircraft that you have and load them in by selecting the profile needed, press the activate button on the profile and then start the A/C wanted, and that is it, done. Also, the user can increase the number of available keys and buttons by, for example, creating specific modes, say for NAV, ACM and A/G etc. and reusing keys employed in the other modes There are some very interesting tutorials on YouTube, done by HavocCompanyClan, utilizing these concept. I will not dispute that this is a time consuming process, but if you host more than 10 Aircraft, in, say, DCS it could pay dividends in the long term. should your S/Ware get messed up, just take out the profiles from where stored and it is returned in seconds.
  6. Thank you very much for the time and effort given to produce a great product. I am very much indebted
  7. Start DCS DCS Missions / Options (Gearwheel Icon on Task Bar) Select "Gameplay" Tab Column Headed NATO Top right of tab screen Second Item Avionics Language - Select required a. Native (the language of the country of origin of the Aircraft) b. English (Not known if this changes with the O/S or DCS Country of purchase language). Third Item Measurement system as required (Most primary flight gauge scales and readouts are set by selection) a. Metric b. Imperial These settings are not specific to a type of aircraft, and stay extant until the user decides to change them Very Simple and takes seconds to implement. No scripts required difficult to mess up!!
  8. Lots of good tutorials on You tube. The 50MC3 throttle has huge potential, with 5 modes, and for each mode, you can map all of the buttons on the throttle, but that means taking it out of the factory default. But if you save a copy of the Factory setting, you can export different profiles to file and then change to any one of them in then in less than a minute. I've had mine for 10 days and am still working through what is available to learn on YT. Thoroughly impressed
  9. I understand that VJoy is required to allow Joystick Gremlin to interface with Windows O/S, for my newly acquired Virpil 50MC3 Throttle to allow customization of up to 128 button options, but is it required to function in the DCS Options screen when setting up control functions? I experimented with an "Eye" tracker" a couple of years ago, which also required VJoy, and it duplicated all of the axis functions and caused lots of issues, so in the end I took it out of the options, and everything seemed to be fine. But unfortunately I know very little about using it with this throttle, other than the YouTube Tutorials, which are making my head hurt, and thus far, this has not been mentioned. Any advice greatly appreciated. As an after thought, a word of advise to any one planning to get this throttle system, It is a superbly produced article, but this is not something that you take out of the box, plug in, and have a great experience. I've had mine for 10 days, and am really just starting to understand the process of building up the configuration, including macros etc. but I am finding it tough going, I would suggest, that if you have throttle, stick and rudder pedals in a semi permanent set up, keep the CM3 on the desk top, work on it, then when the information becomes difficult to absorb, put it down and go flying until configuration is complete - I do wish I had followed my own advice!
  10. I've got similar problems, my Warthog Stick, Throttles and Rudder Pedals function in the Windows Test and Calibrations app. If I Try to Run DCS Aircraft Modules, if I set up mapping, I see the indicator (white) bars show the correct movement and any axis tuning if applied. But when I get into the cockpit, TrackIR is good, but none of the virtual stick, throttle or pedal functions are functional. At this point, it appears to be across the board and not specific to a particular Aircraft, Map or to DCS world or world Open beta. I have used DCS since the only aircraft they had was the A-10, I have most of the A/C they have released, I have had my TM Warthog HOTAS for 2+ years and I am totally at a loss with this. TM tech support seems to work on Gallic Flair and no time pressure. Help needed!
  11. Been away from DCS for 12 months, now (November 2021) finding the same missing data panel issue mentioned in this thread.. I am trying to learn the NS430 system and was hoping to compile a manual list Airfield ID Codes for ease of data entry, this is not helping my cunning plan!
  12. I have tested my TMWH HOTAS and T Rudder setup Using control Panel/Devices & Printers, ( R click on either Hotas unit select Game controller settings, and then item to test or calibrate then follow instructions displayed. All good so far, TMWH is talking to my computer. However, once I start DCS, only Pitch, Roll and Yaw respond. I have mapped and remapped the keys but nothing seems to work. Track IR is fine and happily mapped, When moving Throttle and RPM settings they appear to be moving the rudder pedals and no other Axes or key mapping works, I have spent the last 3 days trying to resolve this and am lost as to what to try, I have swapped USBs into different slots with no change, and re booted more times than enough. (just realized I have not tried swapping into my USB hub. Wait out, I will try, and come back to this regardless of what happens
  13. It will bounce if you cut power. Keeping a small amount of power on without stopping it sinking does tend to reduce the probability of a bounce same for the P51.
  14. Based on a Standard Recovery Circuit. See P47 D Flight Manual diagram showing Key heights and speeds. Get trim correct and constantly correct it. Set RPM at 2550 RPM and do not touch it again. Keep speed at 150/160 MPH, don't initiate a turn at less than 130 MPH a stall is highly predicted outcome. Turn Finals 800/1000ft Full flaps, establish descent speed 115/120, IAS, Keep beginning of the threshold aligned with Gunsite glass lower edge. Throttle to about 12/13 indicated. Fly the A/C down to 200ft and level out smoothly. pull up to correct attitude and let it fly on. Do not cut all power as that will encourage bouncing. Watch the video by The Warsimmer Landing the P51D Mustang. ( ) The only difference is really what Throttle you set at each stage of the evolution. Good Luck
