  1. Set up a server for yourself, and load this mission on it. You should probably get a few friends together, but the mission is awesome.
  2. I'm not that smart either, just use some of the preset some guy made. Works like a charm for PG and Caucasus. No presets for Syria yet..
  3. Surrexen, you are the real MVP for creating these awesome missions! I hope you're all right with me modding them slightly on my server; adding ATIS, a few planes here and there and only cold starts (I'm a masochist) and some dynamic weather
  4. I run that particular server (flew with you earlier today), I'll mod in a few more spawns and see if that helps. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk
  5. Good card, but make sure you have enough PCIe-lanes. Check your motherboards layout in the manual. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk
  6. Do you have another pc that you can set up as a dedicated server? That might help Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk
  7. Remember that only the controller needs cooling on a m.2 nvme drive. Also consider your chipset when getting a nvme drive. On many mainstream chipsets (especially intel) you will most likely be bottlenecked by the chipset interface. Check out the topology and find the m.2 slot thats wired directly to the cpu.
  8. Regarding the permissions problem, something kept overwriting my changes upon server restart. I changed the permissions on the file to read-only, anyone know it that messes up other stuff?
  9. Don't stress over stuff, I wasn't trying to nag you [emoji847] Just a bug report in case you hadn't spotted it. You are doing good work sir [emoji106][emoji846] Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk
  10. Heads-up: The requested URL /contents/pages/N2430_qinfo.php was not found on this server. Also, thank you for your effort! :-)
  11. If you can, get a large ultrawide 1440p. Went from a 27" 144hz gsync panel to a 1440p 60hz 34" ultrawide, and it's so much better to fly with. Even better is an ultrawide high refresh rate one, but holy moly they're expensive. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk
  12. Did you try to request sead support? Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk
  13. I get this after the update as well. Anyone had time to do some testing? EDIT: Fixed by updating to the latest version of DATIS.
  14. Love your mission, it's challenging and fun! [emoji3] Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk
  15. Tromsø is beautiful in the winter [emoji6] Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk
  16. I love the sounds, great job with those! [emoji846] Edit: and the sam launch sounds.. very cool! Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk
  17. Get a new cpu+motherboard, I have a hunch your current cpu isn't really good enough to feed your gpu (you are cpu bottlenecked). One of the new AMD Ryzens would be leagues better, something like the Ryzen 5 3600x. They're pretty good wrt price/performance. You will also need new ram, get a 3200mhz kit that is on your motherboards qvl-list Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk
  18. In the saved games folder (C:\Users\<USERNAME>\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta_server\Mods\tech\DATIS\Options), find the file called "optionsDB.lua" and edit it with a proper editor* and fix this part: gcloudAccessKey = DbOption.new():setValue("INSERT YOUR CLOUD ACCESS KEY HERE"):editbox(), Once it's up and running, you should see an equal number of clients in your SRS-server as you have set up ATIS-stations. Personally I could not get the commtower setup to work, so I just add "ATIS $airfield $freq" to the mission description. *Proper editor is VIM, Notepad++ etc., NOT regular Notepad or Emacs (:megalol:)
  19. No, showed proper boost in hwinfo64 during stress tests and benchmarks. It is really wierd. I have an intel cpu on x299 chipset, and I suspect there might be some wierdness from that. Why it works so much better in a KVM/QEMU VM with VFIO passthrough I will leave to smarter people than me.
  20. I don't have VR, but I ran into the same problem. After a bunch of testing I found out that the CPU (x299 chipset, TB3 disabled) does not boost correctly in windows 10. Did affinity and process lasso shenanigans aswell, to no effect. My solution, somewhat esoteric, was to make a windows 10 VM to run DCS with a Fedora 30 host. For some reason that workes like a charm, no stutters and smooth gameplay. Went from 25-45fps on bare-metal win10, to 80-90fps (1440p UW) running in the VM...:wassat:
  21. Don't know if it would help in anyway, but I run a dedicated server in a VM that runs just fine with both local and remote server dashboard. Host is Ubuntu, using standard libvirt and qemu stuff. The guest is just a Windows 10 (1903?) image.
  22. Tried that at 4,5 or 4,6 (I forget) on my 7960x, and oooh boy I mashed ctrl+c real fast too. Then downclocked and double checked the vcore etc. Could fry an egg on the VRMs.. Have you've seen the latest performance data on the new Epycs? That makes me wonder how the Zen2 TR is going to shake out :surprise: edit: now with link https://www.servethehome.com/amd-epyc-7002-series-rome-delivers-a-knockout/
  23. I know you bought one already, but another option is to buy a pcie usb expansion card. They're dirty cheap, like 10-20 EUR/USD and provides 4 ports with molex/sata power. Added benefit is that you can toss a hub on those 4 ports as well ;) Just in case someone else checks this thread in a few months :)
  24. Pretty much this. Using a intel chip now (for other purposes then only gaming, VMs etc.) and it's been kinda annoying the last year to watch the performance drop for certain workloads. Running a DCS server+NAS+Docker+more on an old Ryzen 1700, and it's rock solid 24/7. And not a furnace like the Intel part in my "desktop". Threadripper 3000, come on baby :geek:
