Absolutely the best campaign I've yet seen in DCS. We've never had this degree of customability in mission, and we need more of this high standard of campaign and missions going forward. The only thing I would love to see is an option to use more than the dot labels. While I appreciate realism is key, and this campaign delivers in spades, many of us use DCS with certain assists - typically and only labels from those available - for a range of reasons and not least to compensate for the inability to observe as one does in real life. @ChillNG, my friend, you get a resounding five stars for this fantastic and engaging work of art, but I do wish you'd allow us to choose how we fly and fight your campaign, and specifically allow us control over something as critical as labels. That said well done.

Goodness I thought it was just me getting smoked out of the air every attempt! A challenging mission for sure - with my old army officer combined BOS war fighter hat on (ah the good old days), I would hold a two-ship rotary attack asset in reserve and bring it into the fight on an ABF vector against enemy reserves or to support vulnerable flanks. Putting two aircraft against GBAD systems like that on top of a billiards table gets you the result we're all facing. Still, great mission!

Hi all, Just wanted to share my fondness of the (currently) sole single mission available in the Syria map. I've always liked missions like these - plausible rotor recovery supported by fixed wing - and so I bring a personal bias to this appreciation but wanted to share it nonetheless. I also spent part of 2015 in Iraq, and the Russians were always a bit of a mystery to us, so it's nice to explore this unknown side of a personal experience I've had. It's a wonderfully uncomplicated mission (for some DCS efforts) that forces you to focus on proper flying, procedure and coordination, and also brings in a healthy dose of immersion with the fact missions like these are true world. Hello all, Just curious if anyone had any insight into when Syria will make its move to DCS Stable (yes yes "two more weeks" etc...). I know it's been in OB for a while, but this now seems an inordinately long period, and the last two modules I patiently waited for (F14 and F16) seemed to swiftly arrive in stable, and for the latter still in a very raw state. I've been here since since Moses was a child - I understand the OB-Stable matriculation - and will always continue to support this great platform, but this great marketing build up and delay moving into stable has been a touch frustrating. If any you more informed chaps can help out it would be appreciated. The Syria map looks like a great module from Agra and I can't wait to start using it. Cheers, Wizz

Ah I thought that might have been the issue. Thanks for clearing that up Draconus. Sounds like a good excuse to get another SSD so I can fit both versions on my computer.

I should note that I'm only running the latest DCS stable (2.5.6) and not Beta version.

Hi Kaba, all, I'm having the same issue with CTB and Supercarrier (i.e. the cold start campaign still has the default carrier). Screenshot attached showing the available F-14 campaigns. DCS Supercarrier is enabled and used regularly with other mission types. I've installed DCS F-14 and then Supercarrier as they were released, but I'm not sure if I need to do something else. Any help would be much appreciated to use this great new module in this fantastic campaign.

Hi all, I've done my due diligence and tried finding an answer to my question, but to no avail. I don't tend to post here unless I'm really stuck. My question is this: does anyone know of any patch or other practical method of switching out the standard DCS carrier for the Supercarrier? It would be great if this was possible to play pre-Supercarrier missions (effectively all of them) with this fantastic new module. I'm not a mission/campaign designer, so I'm unsure of the practicalities of this, but I thought it worth asking. I assume one could individually edit the missions though this seems onerous. Thanks in advance for any insight. Happy flying to all!

Hi all, This is long overdue, but I'm attaching here a translated copy of the Mig-21 chapter from Vicktor Markovsky's ‘Burnt Skies of Afghanistan: Military Aviation in the Afghan War', an account of Soviet airpower in the 1979-1988 Afghan intervention. In the grips of my DCS Mig-21 obsession upon release, and having served in Afghanistan myself as a young army captain, I paid a freelancer to translate the aforementioned chapter. The translation isn't great, but I hope anyone that wants to make use of it can. Best wishes to you all. Thank you guys for these updates. Aside from being the best module currently available for DCS, I think it's fair to say your engagement with the community is the benchmark standard. I can't help smiling that you guys have come along and really taken the wind out of Ed's sails! While we're all on the same team, and I happily have the Hornet and Viper at my fingertips, the F-14B has really just been a first class show and shown what's possible! You guys rock.

'Watch the Devildogs' is the finest mission I've ever played in DCS. I bring a heavy F-14B bias to this, but to have the chance to drop GBUs without stepping into the back seat is huge. What a great mission guys. Please do more!

HB, it sounds like you've never worked for an intelligence community, in particular a foreign collector. I wouldn't over estimate the value of tools like these for use in training opposing force elements; whether they have armfuls of published performance data, it's not quite the same as having contemporary aviators comment that everything is 1:1. Of course certain things are going to be restricted - and for very good reason. ED and Wags - all I can say is wow! This thing is a real beauty, and your dedication to bring this to the community at this stage is magnificent. I'm personally loving the CAS instant action mission with its dynamic threat picture. We truly are in a golden age of flight sims!

Nice to see the SA-2 finally making it into DCS! All we need now is some medium calibre guns (ZSU-57-2? :) ).

Hi all, this looks like a fantastic campaign, but I seem to be having an issue with CTD when I start the first mission. It's never at the same point (though usually within the first five minutes) and appears graphics/RAM related with the huge number of assets in the mission. 1. Full system specs: i7-6700K, 16 GB RAM, GTX 980 Ti, Windows 7 (64), 1TB SSD, Rift 2. Graphics setting is VR default, with shadows set to flat 3. Game resolution is whatever is VR/rift default setting If anyone has any tips on bumping down settings that would be great. I'm sure there's something I can tweak so I can get underway! :) Thanks in advance.
