  1. As far as I can tell. The eye tracking is working, I can see the blurriness in my peripheral so I believe DFR is working. No matter the settings I plug into quad views I get no change in fps.
  2. I've switched from the Crystal to the Varjo and now I'm getting 20 - 30fps less. I left everything the same in game, mostly everything left around the default VR settings and 1.0 PD. Is this normal?
  3. I run Pimax at maximum and in OpenXR I override the resolution to 3500 x 4100.
  4. I repeatedly see all these success stories of people now being in fps heaven but something must be off with mine. What kind of numbers are y'all getting on the ground and low flights in metropolitan areas? With in game settings near the default VR which has most things set to low, I can't get above 50fps on the ground with some places dropping to 30s when testing. It's only at high altitudes I can get anywhere from 80fps - 100+. I'm pretty sure it's all working. The debug tool follows my eyes, calibration in Pimax play appears accurate. I've tried a wide range of numbers in the quadviews companion app from 100% to 200% resolution. No change. I think I have a pretty good system with a 4080, 5800 X3D and 32gb. Any idea what could be off?
  5. Appreciate all that. What are you running for Pixel density? Yea that MSAA is a b$&!* to fps. I thought I was the only one that noticed the terrain didn't look to great no matter what. In the Rift S the cockpit was already readable and clear for me so I guess that's why I wasn't completely blown away yet.
  6. Ok, I must be missing something or doing something wrong. Rtx 4080, 5800 X3D, 32GB ram. Came from a Rift S and am not really blown away by the visuals. Also struggling to get fps out of the 30s. What settings are you running in game, OpenXR, or Pimax client to get the best clarity along with acceptable fps? Anyone else get blurring along the edges?
  7. Well I decided to order it. Just one more question as I thought I knew but became more confused after reading different things. Foveated rendering, does that work out the box as part of the aero software with the eye tracking or is it something that has to be enabled and only works for specific games that will support it?
  8. To be honest, I make good money so it's not really an issue as long as the wife never knows the price tag . Like I said, I'm coming from a Rift S so feels like I'm still stuck in 2018. The most important things is how well the software works (WMR was one of the biggest reasons I sent the G2 back at the time), and the clarity. I'm not one who always has to run out and by the newest versions of things, I keep cell phones for 5yrs as long as they still work. So if this thing is future proof I wouldn't mind keeping it through the Meta quest 5 or reverb g6 if it still holds up. Thanks for the input.
  9. Then I guess the real question is at its lowest, is it equal or that much clearer than the G2? It would be great to turn off MSAA in DCS if I don't need it anymore.
  10. The cpu is non k. I got the G2 when it released but hated WMR, the controllers, and the tracking wasn't great. Returned it and went back to the rift s. If 1 base station will work I have no problem picking one up. If I have to turn down resolution it seems it would make the headset a waste unless it's still miles ahead of everything else.
  11. Thinking about getting one but it seems everyone has a 3090. I'm running i7 8700 and a RTX 3070 with 32GB. Will that even be enough? I'm still running with a Rift s and have headphones but no mic. Also I have no base station or controllers but I 99% of the time do flight or sim racing. Don't care much about wireless which seems to be the focus of the upcoming round of headsets. I'm a graphics whore so visuals matter to me.
  12. I guess im late to the party but none of the download links seem to work for me. How do I download the latest version of this mod?
