  1. I confirm. The PVI brightness knob worked on BS1. Unfortunately, it seems it doesn't work anymore.
  2. Same kind of issue for me. Facing also some performance issues : with 2 GTX Titan on SLI, I have an average of 50 fps, but sometimes, it drops dramatically down to 8 fps ! Really hope the next versions will fix this soon.
  3. I Don't know... But I would like to see crossfire implemented too. Too bad to have a gpu that is not used.
  4. With 10 minutes loading time. I assure you that you are veeeeeery carefull with the bird : a crash and you go for a 10 minutes waiting. :-( For me, i've got the english boxed version.
  5. First, thanks for help. I think i run out of solution to try. Yes, the performances of the HDD in Sisoft Sandra are in the average performances of some identical hdd. As you advised i've uninstalled the game, re-installed on another defragmented partition. Unfortunatly, i meet the exact same problem. :-(
  6. I've installed and tried Sisoft Sandra. The HDD performance are quite honests and normal i think for a laptop : 44.152 Mo/s. I didn't notice any slow down for any other application. The problem is only seen in DCS.
  7. I wonder if it's a hardware issue, os (x64) issue or a problem due to starforce activation ? I think a tried almost everything to decrease the loading time... For me too, once the game is loaded, everything is fine (30 to 40 fps). It's just very annoying to have almost 10 minutes to wait between each missions. Isn't there much more experience about this issue ?
  8. I've got the same problem on Vista x64. What kind of chipset do you have (sata controler) ? Mine is an Intel ICH8M... maybe the same as yours ?
  9. Hi, I've done a fresh install of Windows Vista x64 sp1... Same problem, about 8 minutes to load the 3D ! i'm doomed. It seems my problem is due either to hardware, either to DCS. For the hardware, i've of course installed all the latest drivers possible (much more easier with Vista). I tried to install some other games and i have no such problem at all with them. I've installed Lock on Flaming Cliffs, updated the starforce driver: it works very well, and the loading time has never been so low and the fps never so high. So, after burning 4 activations while attempting to play DCS without waiting 10 minutes between each missions (or crashs), it seems that i have no more solution : the game won't run better on my configuration. Why ? i d'ont know, but i'm pretty sure, it's a dcs problem (if not, why is the problem is only seen with this game ?). I'm quite disapointed and desperated. I do not intend to change my computer just to play bs... So, for the dev team, here is my configuration, in case it has any interest for you : Windows: Windows NT6.0 (Build 6001) Service Pack 1 Internet Explorer: 7.0.6001.18000 Memory (RAM): 4094 MB CPU Info: Intel® Core2 Duo CPU T7500 @ 2.20GHz CPU Speed: 2190,9 MHz Sound card: Haut-parleurs (Realtek High Def Display Adapters: NVIDIA GeForce 8700M GT | NVIDIA GeForce 8700M GT | RDPDD Chained DD | RDP Encoder Mirror Driver Monitors: 1 Screen Resolution: 1680 X 1050 - 32 bit Network: Network Present Network Adapters: Bluetooth PAN Network Adapter | Intel® Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN | Realtek RTL8168/8111 Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.0) CD / DVD Drives: E: TSSTcorpCD/DVDW TS-L632D | G: HQVO 5INKT2V Hard Disks: C: 107,4GB | D: 125,5GB | H: 931,5GB Hard Disks - Free: C: 51,8GB | D: 8,3GB | H: 375,6GB USB Controllers: 7 host controllers. Firewire (1394): Not Detected PCMCIA (Laptops): Not Installed Manufacturer: Phoenix Product Make: M570RU Motherboard: Clevo Co. SANTA ROSA CRB + TrackIR 4 pro and Saitek X52 hope it helps. I also hope a patch would maybe fix my problem. Thanks.
  10. Yes, i've deactivated my antivirus. In fact, as i suspected a problem from the antivirus, i've uninstalled it. Unfortunetly no difference. I've made a new fresh install with no other softs installed. No DVD in the DVD drive, same loading time. I can believe easily Windows 7 is not involved since many people doesn't have any problem. I tried to install the latest nvidia windows 7 drivers (thanks Jonay) BUT... i don't know why, nvidia doesn't make the latest drivers available to laptop (8700M GT is not available in the product list)... I know, a laptop isn't the best choice for gaming. Nevertheless, i found a website http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/ that modify the drivers from nvidia to make it available to laptop users. BUT, it seems i'm not lucky : blue screen. So, I think, i'm gonna return to a more conventional os... too bad, Lock on was much faster with windows 7. Thanks for help.
  11. After a format and a new fresh windows 7 install...and 2 activations burnt indeed, stil not working. I think Windows 7 is not as good as it seems... or is it BS ?
  12. Nope. Sorry, there are no newer drivers available. The Vista drivers refuse to install (it does not recognize the proper os). It seems i'm in a dead end until newer drivers if there is... Nevertheless, i'm not sure that the problem come from my chipset drivers.
  13. No i didn't. In fact, since other games are working perfectly, (LockOn FC for exemple), I thought it wouldn't be necessary. But you're right Distiller, i'm gonna try to update the motherboard chipset drivers if i can find it. The Vista drivers that came with my notebook refuse to install since it's not recongized as Vista os.
  14. Hello, I just bought the boxed version of DCS BS. I've installed it on Windows 7 7068. The installation works perfectly. When i launch BS (run as administrator), works too, except a bad flickering while rolling over the buttons in fullscreen mode. But, when i launch the game (for exemple "Instant action"), here are starting the troubles... :( The time to be in the cockpit is about 8 minutes. This seems quite a long time. After that infinite loading time of the 3D game engine, everything works nice (except some little freezes from time to time). I tried of course to defrag my disk, update to latest nvidia drivers (179.85). It seems that nvidia doesn't pay a great attention on the notebook graphic drivers. For the moment, there are no newer drivers for my 8700M GT. First question : Is the loading time normal ? Second question : If not, why and how to fix it ? Thanks for help ! Great game ! My system configuration : Core2 duo E7500 - Windows 7 7068 - 4Gb ram Nvidia 8700M GT
