  1. I know. About your issue, thats an old "bug" ED still didn0't salve it. It has been happaning to me for the last 3 or more years, occasionally here and there, like to you. I still didn't find the reason why does it happen. Its not that bothering anyway, or I got use to it, and living with it
  2. Normal procedure by swithing between RWS and TWS is by holding TMS right for longer then 0,5sec.
  3. There are issues with F-16 since last 2 updates. Wait until ED fixes all in a year or two. Btw, I stopped flying it, just can't stand all the bugs it has atm.
  4. I haven't noticed that yet anywhere, so I will ask right here, since reading about it... About this new G effect and performing warmp-up maneuvers. How much time has to elapse without any maneuvering, that warm-up does not have any influence any more?
  5. Hmm, excelent option, if there is any. I never thought about it. thx
  6. In the middie of the desert? What you can find there to boresight? Waiting for some more populated map.
  7. It works just fine. The issue is on OP's side, check what NineLine said. f-16_dogfight_mode_vertical_scan.trk
  8. There is an issue with the interior lighting. Sun illuminates all the sides of the buildings from inside like bunkers, hangars, in short every where is possible to be in. I thought it was just on one particular airport, but then I went checking, and I noticed that's on all the same. There is another thing, the shadows on the objects which are inside of the hangars, are visible from outside of the hangars. I'm not really sure if this lighting thing is just on this map, I remember seeing it on every map in DCS, just not to that extent. ps: and grass inside the gangars, which I dount its there IRL.
  9. Just tried against AI, mainly I wanted to test th G-lock, but I noticed how back AI is in BVR combat. Comeon ED, you can do it better then this. Each update seems to be worse. Tacview-20240412-231840-DCS.zip.acmi Tacview-20240412-231352-DCS.zip.acmi Tacview-20240412-230825-DCS.zip.acmi Tacview-20240412-230026-DCS.zip.acmi The point being, AI cannot avoid the 1st simply shoot missile.
  10. Never tried that, but I would say that since DCS is still just a game and thus does not simulate the drift and inaccuracies over time, you can always do a Stored heading instead of Normal Gyrocompass alignment. I know I always do, and it always work. IRL the Stored alignment as said, it would result in drift and inaccuracies over time, and it should only be used in emergency situations. But DCS does still not simulate all the things about alignment, so you should no worry about that. To make sure the alignment will be done correctly while using Stored heading, you can verify, but do not enter, the latitude, longitude, altitude, and true heading for that particular starting location. And if the alignement is successful, on DED the alignment status will count down to 10, RDY will be displayed, and you ALIGN will start flashing on the HUD.
  11. What do you mean with autostart? Do you HOT start the aircraft (all set and ready to fly)? If so, then the alignment is already done and you don't need to do it again by your self. If not, if you are in so COLD start (aircraft with no power and shut down), then you have to do the alignment process one way on another (so or choosing Stored Heading or Normal alignment)
  12. No, you don't need to enter anything, you just simply rotate that Inertial Navigation System Selector Switch to STOR HDG position, and wait until alignment counts down to 10 and RDY appears beside it on the DED (and at the same time ALIGN starts to flesh on the left bottom corner of the HUD. This whole process only takes around 90 seconds. But you have to make sure the plane does not move, not even for an inch, you are not allowed rearm your jet either, else alignment can get screwed. If its get screwed, just put the Inertial Navigation System Selector Switch (that knob) to OFF and back to STOR HDG position. You only have to confirm coordinated while doing the Normal alignement, and you have to do that in the 1st 2 minutets when initiating it.
  13. On Uncage switch? I would also LOVE to have that "shortcut", because I remember how many times I panicked, when I needed guns instantly, and was clicking like a madman on the MFD, and many times I couldn't clicked the correct button in that short period of time.
  14. Would it be possible to get more real looking explosions of the planes we have in DCS? Specially bigger. I would say the enormity of the explosion depend mostly on the amount of fuel left in tanks. Example1 Example2 Example3 Example4 Example5
  15. Switch works fine, just the left-right mouse clicks are not working the way as 3 positional switch works on DCS's F-16 (right click to move swich only forward, and left click to move the switch only backward).
  16. "AFAIK, HOTAS for Strafe (STRF) is a OFP M5.1+ update, which this versions of the USAF F-16C block 50 would not get until 2010 or later. Our DCS versions is a USAF 2007 version roughly M4.2+."
  17. Not sure if this is a bug or it is designed that way, but since it's a 3-position switch, I would assume, the right mouse clicks moves switch always forward, while left mouse clicks should move switch always backward. Now it is not wokring like a usual 3 or more positional switch. Now when switch is forward (on ON position), left click moves the switch to OFF, you can hear that double movement of the switch ("click-click"), but it moves just by one position. If you press right mouse click you can only hear one "click", but I would assume, right mouse click should do nothing more , but to stay there, when in ON position.
  18. If I would, and would have been shot at, I wouldn't be seating here now Seriously, ED is aware of that, and has that in mind for a very long time, its just not on their priority list atm, and I agree, there are way more serious and necessary things to fix.
  19. Did you do a cold start? If so, when did you put the MIDS LVT switch to on? You must only put it to on, when GPS alignemnt is done, you see that by pressing the button 6 (TIME) on the IPC, and in the left upper corner must be written GPS SYSTEM (if there is no GPS the alignment is not done yet).
  20. @NineLine since there is quite some portion of Pakistan included into the full map, will there be any airports included from Pakistan as well? Or maybe any airports from the northern countries?
  21. Yee, indeed. 1st map with no water, at least not salt one.
  22. I would say the same as Syria or SA, so around 70-80GB. The whole fully detailed version I mean. I am really looking forward to this map, looks stunning, and very versatile.
