Oh yes, Tabbed sections would be awesome.
Or possibly flat binding.
I'd prefer b/w to keep costs down (if I want colour, I'll look at the game), but found the ring binding to be a minor irritation as the pages start to clump after a couple of weeks because they aren't forced to the same margin. Haven't had any pages come out, but it would be nice to be able to fan quickly through for the section I'm looking for, as opposed to the pages separating into lumps.
Just a thought, I'll buy it if you print in scroll form.

Might be too late for you, but for anyone in Australia, I'd recommend this place-

Almost overnight delivery the day after you order.

With non-FFB pedal centering, hitting Z is a quick solution once you're pointed in the right direction.

Unlimited weapons.
I couldn't finish Deployment campaign because wingmen wouldn't fire on targets, and I would run out before mission succeeded.
At the moment I use them for SAM bait.

Alert for those in Australia/New Zealand. We are finalising a deal with Mindscape Australia whereby they will be selling LockOn+FC2(patched etc) in a box.
I can not confirm yet the release date. I suspect maybe August/September.
Good news, they were very speedy when I purchased BS manual.

Try this:
Obviously, back up the original file first. I have mine showing just as little green (friendly) and grey (unfriendly) dots, no labels, show up at 5kms.

High voltage GA preview coming soon.

I'm not sure exactly how much fidelity the below AH-64 sim will have, but it seems a pity to have head to head products in such a niche area:

I'd prefer a carrier-based fast mover next.

Nonsense. Adjust the dead zone & curves to allow for fine control and to suit your preference, that's why its there. If you don't need to, fine. If you do need to, also fine.
Nate
Exactly.
You paid for the game- why let others tell you how you'll play it?

Maybe it's already possible to do (via RSS or something similar) but I'd like to be able to see my own forum all on one site. So I'd have one page with selected topics/sections from DCS, RoF, simhq, UBI etc. It would keyword search on previous topics I'd selected, etc, automatically ignore certain users based on IP address, and it wouldn't be banana yellow.
My PC is subpar for RoF, but it will be the first thing I'll install with next upgrade... lots of potential.

ok, i have found the solution to this problem, if anyone else is experiencing this problem with force feedback, just do this:
-go to game options
-controls
-select axis to modify the joystick axis'
-Click on any axis Y or X
-Click FF option
-make sure "Swap axis" is ticked
And voila!
Thanks!
I installed BS on Win 7 this morning, and was having shocking problems with MSFFB2 trim, kept pulling back to centre. I had a feeling there was a fix that didn't involve new joystick, but couldn't remember what it was... Swap axis is the one.
This should make it into an FAQ on FFB sticks.

My only complaint is the hat stick moves the shkval too slowly.
Try this:

No I haven`t.
I thought I read somewhere that they were not available, especially not for Win7.
I don't believe it's possible to get the Sidewinder drivers to work for anything after XP, and there are no updated ones that I've come across. Even after XP SP2 the drivers have to be installed/configured in safe mode.
However, the controller setup in BS is very good, can map hatswitches as keystrokes etc, and the FFB level can be set under axis config area.

SoW seems fine, just VERY slow.
Jet Thunder I was looking foward to, but it seems dead in the water. There was an interview with simhq where they said it would be released towards 2010 (huh?) http://www.simhq.com/_air12/air_410a.html
Since then, nothing.

Getting closer...

Have you tried this?

Lots of information for combat beginners.

Ah, hell. Black Mesa is going to be delayed too, by the look of it. Not having the best Friday afternoon ever.

After reading FC 2.0 latest FAQ, I'm now confused... which will likely come first, A-10, or FC patch?
I was thinking A-10 might be released around Feb, but now I'm getting a bad feeling.

"Limited 6 DOF cockpits that move up, down and sideways according to maneuvering"
So this is not TrackIR/Freetrack 6dof then?
Nate
Yes, I'm more interested in this than anything else. If LOMAC now supports TIR 6dof, even if it's a lot more limited than BS, I'll buy it.
If it just means that your viewpoint moves a little during hard turns, that's kind of misleading to say 6 DOF, which is used in connection with head tracking devices.

I removed the height restriction in one of the .lua files so I could bomb at low level and speed away. I noticed that a pipper travels along the ground when you're low enough, or have nose pointed down, like the one for rockets, but this one gives the impact point for bombs.
After a pleasant hour bombing the hell out of everything though, it becomes apparent that rockets are better for heli.
Microsoft FFB2 - Difference between silver and red trigger versions
in PC Hardware and Related Software
Posted
I have one of each, very little difference in my experience. Red one is supposed to be a little more sensitive, and has a slightly more solid feel I think.
But if you put a hood over each one, I don't believe I could tell which I was using.
They're both great sticks, if you have the silver/green light be happy.
