  1. Nice to see buildings from Petra modelled. Will Masada be coming to this map?
  2. love how all the disgruntled yak52 owners come crawling out of the woodwork its pretty much the least complex module produced by ED, watch itll take longer than the hornet to complete
  3. The lack of even a rudimentary damage model arguably is . At minimum, it's a serious omission
  4. Close is good enough. Not that any of us can tell, authoritatively, one way or the other
  5. The upcoming OH-58D is strangely absent from both the trailer & this list, despite extensive use there. Why no love from ED?
  6. Why are you using MS access? That's why the data structure is so hard to read. You may as well be opening it with .txt You'll save yourself a lot of heartache by using MS visual studio or any other programming environment for lua, then it's super easy to work with
  7. i think its a universal mount. i stuck it on the front of my reverb g2 without issue. the mounting bit is slightly flexible to allow it to match whatever radius the front of your headset is to some extent
  8. i prefer hot starts, any mission thats hot started is welcome
  9. is there a reason why the mount made by leap wont work? or are you just preferring to make your own?
  10. i just moved on. completed all the objectives in the mission, got a 50 after landing and shut down, so i adjusted the score in the logbook.lua so i didnt have to keep repeating this or skip the mission
  11. I had a problem with 3 last night after destroying the camp, go back to green smoke. land in front of the troops, they wander off into the field. get up, land next to them, they just stand there, get up and land on the other side, they just stand there. hard to find trigger zone. after a long time, it said theyre loaded i fly them to the camp and land. i get a message theyre disembarking, but nothing that theyre off. the troops appear, walk into the wreckage of the camp and stand...and wait, and wait , and wait......im sitting on the ground as a huge target waiting in case they need to be picked up and taken back to the mortar emplacement. finally after accelerating the time for a good while, i just decide to leave. as soon as im up in the air, im told that im good to got. i can take off and RTB fly back to base, receive clearance to land. wingman is already on the ground and shut down. i land on one of the pads....and nothing....shut down the helo..still nothing. exit the mission and receive a 50% score despite accomplishing all tasks given to me the campaign is enjoyable, and brings me back to the time when i was new to DCS flying the mi8 campaigns in this same region that i havent revisited in years, but it seems some of the scripting triggers are a little off?
  12. a quick check of ED store front shows both the Viggen and Tomcat are both partaking in the program, the phantom is the sole exception
  13. I was going to ask the same. i held off from preorder from HB website in favor of ED store in hopes of accumulating miles
  14. well, its easy to miss that the antenna is backwards to be honest. its an easy mistake. compare the doglegs at the upper portion of the antenna. on the DCS one theyre both facing the same way (the rear one is backwards) . in reality, theyre supposed to point opposite ways null as far as the RWR indications, i honestly dont know. patriot lives in a very insular world, and theres a lot of tribal knowledge that never gets questioned or vetted. nowadays, 10+ years after leaving, theres a lot of things im not quite as sure of as i was when i was in linecrosser's shoes. not to mention we come from different generations of patriot operators- i transitioned to patriot in '01 and even then, my experience was different from the folks running the systems in gulf war ten years prior. we told ourselves no one could detect our radar (despite the contradiction posed by the not-to-be-touched-under-any-circumstance-ever "TVM Spoof" switch indicator) yet allied pilots in '03 era kept complaining about being locked on by patriot. confusing, as we dont have any sort of indication of a lock of any sort in the van.. but it wasnt till years after i got out that i started questioning "what is the system really doing" - at a level perhaps only high level engineers at raytheon may know, certainly not anyone down in the army. consider when evaluating traffic, i "hook" a track, interrogate the IFF, look over the screen that shows the track data....and decide the track isnt interesting. so mentally i move on, but from the systems perspective, i still have that track hooked and it doesnt know if im still making a decision, or if ive fallen asleep at the console (its quite hypnotic in the van, and everyone falls asleep eventually in there). whats the system doing? is it continually checking back on the track often enough that the pilot feels theyre being locked on? or does the system ignore the track till i ask it to take further action? so really...i dont know additionally, the statement that the missile "goes active" is odd in this context
  15. I spent more than a decade on patriot. We have a pac-2 era patriot modelled in-game, although the EPP is incorrect , as is the ICC, and one of the amg masts is backwards
  16. 3090 with 24gb vram is a good one to have. It cost a mortgage payment (or it did, at the time), which stings a little tho
  17. this is something ive asked of campaign creators as well
  18. The context is Im not on Raz discord anymore. I posted what showed up in my youtube feed.
  19. On the topic of VR users & keybinds, sticking a few self-adhesive bumps on your keyboard can be very helpful: only a few are needed for either important keybinds or helping navigate thru a cluster of them (for example, f1,f6, & f10) https://www.amazon.com/Adhesive-Bumper-106-PC-Spherical-Square/dp/B06XPCLN23
  20. both are good, as it the mb-339 trainers are kinda pointless in DCS, but all three are well made c101 takes a *lot* of runway to take off
