  1. Once I noticed that my fuel pressure was sitting at about 22 PSI, bottom of blue arch. So, I played with emergency boost pump rheostat and got no change in fuel pressure. Engine operated smoothly and I got no trouble in that flight. Then I played with it in different missions, on the ground and in air, and got no pressure change. Is it not working? Is it known/reported? ^ Rheostat at normal position ^ At max boost. Also, I'm seeing different normal fuel pressure readings in real pilot's manual (16-17 in flight, >7 at idle). These manuals show different fuel pressure gauge (separate), but are marked for D models too. Did D-30/40 get more powerful fuel pump and plumbing for higher pressure? Or is it some gauge/sensor difference?
  2. Makes sense, and looking at photos and videos confirms this. But then, shouldn't those shrouds be fixed (non-rotating)? In-game they are rotating with the cable movement and I didn't notice any apertures for the cable to enter/exit the shroud.

Not critical by any means and you need to look for most of them to notice, but still wound be nice to have those fixed eventually. 1) Cockpit ventilation duct not connected to the wall: 2) Hydraulic hand pump base not modeled. This one is pretty noticeable: 3) Pilot O2 supply hose end visible, and possibly only half of it is modeled in places (couldn't it's end be hidden under the seat somewhere?) 4) Primer handle base has no thickness 5) Rudder pedals wire guide wheels lower portion is missing (on both sides, visible with full rudder deflection), and there's no wire groove on the wheels (how the wire is supposed to stay on them without it?) 6) Some tubes and wires behind front dash have visible ends (only if you try to look behind the panel) 7) No visible holes (or texture imitations of holes) present in armor plate for control wires Also, shouldn't there be more detailing on left rear portion of cockpit wall? Some photos show info plaques and panels with screws. And external tank selector base (cylinder protruding from the cockpit floor) has no "attachment" to the floor, it just sticks out. Aren't there a visible square plate at the cylinder's base bolted to the floor?

P-47D-40 suction on the ground.trk P-47D-40 suction climb 2700 RPM.trk Here are two short tracks with P-47D-40 (hot start on parking and in air, I haven't noticed a difference with cold started plane in these tests). At 900 RPM suction stays at about 3 in Hg, with RPM increase it starts to rise (beginning at around 1100 RPM) and gets to about 3.8 (low red line on the gauge) and stops there, never rising above low redline. One test was done on the ground, other - in air at military limit (2700 RPM, 52'' MP), both on Caucasus with "DCS default" weather. Same results were obtained with P-47D-30. There was an outlier case where suction rose to 4,2 in Hg in flight at high altitude (see screenshot) (P-47D-30 early, Normandy, clod start at Azeville ALG)... Edit: I've got 4.2 in Hg of suction again with D-30 early on Normandy after an air start, this time at low altitude: P-47D-30 early suction 4,2.trk Even if vacuum pump has 1:1 engine-pump RPM ratio (I don't know real ratio, but kinda doubt it is 1:1), it should still provide adequate pressure difference at 2500+ RPM. Also, aren't external tanks pressurized by vacuum pump exhaust?
  7. Working oil dilution. Fixed hole in the model behind the cockpit. Landing gear issues. Pilot seat headrest. Hydraulic system modelling. All the other stuff in "Bugs and Problems" section that is marked as Reported, Investigating, WiP. Maybe even something out of Wish list section, like wheel chocks.

  13. Confirmed. I just tried the same thing you got in your track and got the same result - only 2 bombs released with Q=4 M=1 I=80 as well. Looks like the problem occurs when same type of ordnance is to be released from different symmetrical pairs of stations in a sequence. But I did long ripples after the update with no problems...
  14. That picture without pylons and with a gun pod also looks like day attack modification (no FLIR on the nose).
  15. I'm not sure about LMAV seeker page (haven't opened it in a while), but I can confirm that "LMAV residue" stays after all missiles are spent: Here's seeker LoS mark fixed on HUD.
  16. Just tried AUTO and CCIP releases with different Q-M-I settings, haven't noticed any issues, even auto ripple is working now. Also tried it with rockets in single mode and it works as it should (although I haven't tried M > 2). Tracks with bomb releases are attached. Interval on ACP is entered in tenths of feet, so when you select "500" you are setting interval to 5000 ft. I guess you released pickle before second release pulse was sent. Also, quantity is the total number of stuff to be released, so if you want to drop 8 bombs in total, you should select Q = 8 regardless of M (multiple is the number of stations that will release stuff simultaneously at each interval) av8b auto Q 10 M 1 I 300.trk av8b auto Q 10 M 2 I 300.trk av8b CCIP Q 10 M 2 I 100.trk Regarding auto release cue - it was not fixed, now it comes from the very top of HUD FoV, while TACMAN states the following: "The release cue initializes at 3° above the velocity vector on the ASL as shown in Figure 2-53, detail D"
  17. It is not completely stuck, but it's sensitivity seems to be significantly reduced: 1) No rudder deflection 2) Half right pedal 3) Full right pedal Also it can be observed during landing pattern turns at low speeds. Slip vane seems to be correct.
  18. You can get very much readable TPod and DMT TV picture (probably, even too readable compared to reality) with MFD gain/contrast manipulation (on flatscreen. No idea about VR or MFD export). Current special options default gain/contrast setting is slightly too bright for EHSD moving map and slightly too dark for TPod/TV use, so it still require some adjustment in cockpit.
  19. You can overwrite them. Pressing TOO will automatically suggest next number in sequence, but you can enter that number manually, you can use TOO with only T1 during the entire sortie, overwriting it each time over and over.
  20. Can confirm this bug, difficulty with returning to spectators is a minor issure compared to a major hindrance for communications in big missions (since SRS can't be used normally). I observed it affecting F-15E, F-14 (both), AH-64.

  22. NWP 3-22.5-AV8B, Vol. I, 2.15.1.6 Laser Code Entry (page 2-164) says that after landing the laser code is set to the default code (1111). This occurs five seconds after a weight-on-wheels transition is detected. Same document, page 1-392: default laser code following pod power−up is 1111; however, after an aircraft laser code has been entered, it becomes the default code. About laser arming - 1.18.4.15.2 Laser Control and Arming Displays, section a) Laser Arming says that the TPod arms the laser if all of the following conditions are met: - Aircraft is weight−off−wheels, - Aircraft landing gear is up, - Aircraft indicated airspeed is greater than 100 knots, - MC indicates the aircraft is in−flight, - TPOD is in A/G mode, - Designated target, - TPOD format is displayed on either the left or right MPCD. - Master arm is in the ARM position. And an armed laser is automatically safed if any of the above arming conditions becomes invalid. Described Litening is a slightly older model than the one we have, but ther is no publicly available info on it (that I was able to find).
  23. Last time I messed with rockets Q-M-I settings I found out that they aren't reacting properly to those regardless of single or ripple fire set up. Proper QMI settings effects for rockets (and everything else) is described in NWP 3-22.5-AV8B, Vol. I - 1.14.6.3 UFCS Weapon Programming.
  24. In all my time doing A/A refueling I never encountered this somehow. You will start to detach if you get way out of imaginary cone behind the refueling pod while getting fuel, and there's no physics for the basket, so the drogue won't collide with the probe, but that's true for every plane in DCS in my experience.
