  1. Right Ordered it from Amazon UK second hand for £9 including postage cost. Looked it up on Wikipedia its the same box cover as the Lock on Modern Air combat on there. Just got to wait till next month now before I can install FC 3 :/ Thanks for your help :)
  2. I want to Fly the F-15c / FC3 in DCS World Which is the cheapest option I can find lots of different lock on versions but no idea if half of them are expansions of if some base ones are too old or if I'm going to end up buying more than what I need. It says it needs Lock on Modern air Combat but some Boxes only have Lock on Air Combat on the box. Is Flaming Cliffs 2 needed? Could I just buy the FC 2 download? That would mean not waiting two weeks for the box version.
  3. I was about to build a Phenom II x4 3.4Ghz computer. I've always been an AMD fanboy but Intel has improved alot. I was about to buy the fastest Phenom II processor at £170 but the I7 2.66Ghz at £200 is as fast and Intel already has a 3.3Ghz i7 that i can upgrade too in three years when it's a lot cheaper. So with i7 your garenteed to have an upgrade path in the future. The Intel I7 can also read three sticks of Ram at the same time giving your compouter far faster ram read speeds then the AMD one.
  4. Vista 64bit will only improve things if DCS Blackshark is also coded in 64bit. Really this sim needs the fastest CPU core you can afford, having four cores means nothing for games only coded to run on one core.
  5. If graphic changes dont effect FPS then its the CPU or Ram speed bottlenecking.
  6. The hassle of looking around the cockpit and zooming to the panels is a pain in the ass real pilots never have to do. Get TrackIR and free up some brain power to controlling the aircraft and not your head movements.
  7. Saitek X52 Pro is a good one throttle and a sepereate Joystick both covered in hat switches and buttons and they both light up.
  8. my specs are:- 2X Opteron 2Ghz 2GB DDR 256 MB 6800 Gt water cooled and OC 420 Mhz It's no where near enough to run Black Shark during battles so stay well clear of minimum requirements its ok performance for learning basics but not during combat. I would say Black shark needs a 3Ghz pentium 4 or above and 512 MB series 8 card. I would upgrade mine but it all needs upgrading so im holding out till I can afford a new build.
