Hi Guys Tried all the suggestions. Slight improvement, but still not like 1.2. I think that I will wait for 2.0 & get the BS2. I am not that keen on 1.5 anyway, as I think the scenery has a very washed out look & it's just the same old area. 2.0 at present seems a bit pointless as it's not a combat zone, just a practice area. I think that the Straits of Hormuz will bring a whole new look to the game. TonyM

Hi Don Will certainly try your suggestions. Probably tomorrow now, as just about to go out. My controller is a Hotas Warthog set up with the stick extension. I mostly fly the A10C these days, although I used to fly the BS extensively before & fancy trying the latest BS missions again. Thanks again TonyM

Hi Don Thanks for the suggestions. No I did not carry over the previous settings, just started from scratch & I have checked that there are not multiple controllers being involved. As you rightly say there are some crazy assignments at first. I am wondering whether it would be worth deleting the 1 to 2 upgrade & buying & Installing the new BS2, although the price of doing this is putting me off at present. Regards TonyM

I have the BS updated version 1 to 2 & this seemingly loaded O.K. into the open beta 1.5. However the pitch is extremely unstable in this version, the slightest twitch of the stick giving violent up & down movements. The axis settings are exactly the same as in 1.2 & despite trying every variation of the axis settings I can't get the pitch stable. Is this because the updated version is not suitable for the 1.5 beta or is there some other cause. Do I have to install the original BS into the 1.5 beta, as was the case with 1.2.? TonyM

In the previous version of world there was an option to select cold, warm or normal colours for the landscape HDR. Now this option has disappeared and the colours seem pale and washed out to me. Does anyone else think this is the case and will the options return? Tonym

Can't start missing .dll The open beta won't start, as it says MSVCR120.dll is missing. I have re installed the program from scratch, but the problem persists. I have checked that the .dll is present in Windows Microsoft.NET files& even loaded a new version of the .dll file to be sure. The mystery is that DCS World 1.2.16.43180 and FSX all run perfectly, so why won't DCS 1.5 run? Any help will be much appreciated. TonyM

Does anyone know how to reduce the centering spring pressure of the Warthog stick. I think that this would greatly improve the situation when flying helicopters. TonyM

Just bought Mig 15, trying to install into "DCS World open beta", but every time I get the message " 1.2.16.38741 must be installed". I have updated to this version, but still am unable to install the product. Any ideas to resolve the problem will be gratefully received. Tonym

A point worth noting, is that when I updated to the latest issue, all my old add on missions disappeared. Don't know why, it hasn't happened before. Fortunately I had an open beta version on board (not updated) so was able to copy the missions across.

Hi Corrigan Thanks for the advice. I have now updated the Beta program, but can't find an update for the original program. Is this right?

I am currently on version 1.2.8.26442 in the Beta game and version 1.2.8.27915 in the standard game. For some reason it no longer checks for and updates itself. I am fairly sure that some updates are due. Can anyone tell me how to force an update, to bring everything up to date. Thanks in anticipation.

Is anyone else getting bored with DCS. When it first came out I thought it was the greatest sim ever, to the extent that I completely abandoned FSX. Now however, having mastered the various aircraft & being tired of the same old limited scenery, I have returned to FSX, to experience different aircraft & a whole world to fly in. I am fed up with the never ending promises of new scenery i.e. Nevada, that never happens. New aircraft that only appear as vague promises of arriving (with the exception of Belsimtek). A lack of new missions is also apparent, no doubt mission writers are fed up with the constant changes that make earlier missions unplayable and are not prepared to rewrite them. Sorry for the rant, but I wonder how many others are feeling the same way.

What has happened to Beczl Where has the thread gone re the Mig21 and the updates?

Is 1.2.7. beta now redundant? I have both 1.2.7 beta and the update of 1.2.6 to 1.2.7 installed. Is the beta version now redundant, or is the beta continuing as a trial version? Will all future updates just be to the 1.2.6/1,2,7 version. It's all getting a bit confusing.

The AI gunners, both door gunners & co-pilot, are far too good! They are able to see through woods etc & destroy opposition at a fantastic rate. I am certain in real life that this in unrealistic. Perhaps their unerring accuracy should be toned down somewhat, in the interests of realism. Otherwise a great sim the mods to flight handling in 1.2.7 make it even better.
