  1. Thank you for posting @jimiC this is exactly the same problem I am having and it makes switching lower side panels impossible and launching taskbar items causing crashes for me as well. PLEASE FIX THIS ED, KINDA UNPLAYABLE FOR US USING MOUSE LOOK IN VR!!
  2. Can confirm same issue here-latest beta w Saitek X52 Went searching after becoming frustrated with this. Every first boot and run I am having this issue. Double checked the USB Game Controller panel and my X52 is holding solid at mid point so no pulling happening outside F14-no prob in other modules, and seems like reboot of dcs is only fix but not always working as a workaround...please advise.
  3. effing MADDENING! took 5 fricking tries to dl the latest beta update (and still dont have it) because some b.s. error 'servers too busy' or some crap, and other times windows keeps going to sleep on me during big updates and i have to start dl all over again!! which wouldnt be a prob if progress was effing saved like most every other dl! sorry for rant but sick of this. shouldnt have to keep restarting 10GB dls from effing scratch because dcs dl/update app isnt seen as a process by Win10 for some reason...i *need my power settings to turn pc off after no activity for a period and really should not have to change my power settings for dcs only...ps-small ff kb sorry hard to type well on rig machine...
  4. Okay dug into manual...sounds like the take off from runway setting will do the trick!! B)
  5. I appreciate it very much-thanks! I read through Heatblur F-14 manual yesterday a bunch and didn't see anything specific to this-will dive into the DCS General Manual...it's been a while...been using ED's sims since LockOn so the mission editor is definitely not new to me, but never got into using scripts so figured that was the missing link...
  6. Ah, was just composing my other message while you replied, haha-thanks man! Okay so take off from ramp is not the appropriate choice for the carrier? I will have to hop into the sim rig to check mission settings, but pretty sure I do have take off from ramp selected, but my aircraft always spawns near elevator, and while I do have it set to spawn with aircraft systems on, I still need to do some pre-flight set up such as steer to cat, sweep wings for takeoff, kneel front strut, then finally hook up to cat...is it as simple as just setting all those functions as tasks that would need to be assigned in ME and performed at start of mission then?
  7. After further research into scripts and now MIST, I believe I'm getting closer to understanding how this is done but still appreciate any insight on the original question as none of the videos on implementing these scripts are showing how you might spawn in an aircraft perfectly lined up on the carrier deck to easily hook up to the cat with all systems functioning and ready for launch...I'll go tinker to see if it becomes clearer as I implement the above lua scripts in my mission file...
  8. I had been wondering if this was possible, only to find it is indeed possible after jumping in a dogfight server online and finding the Tomcat all fired up, kneeled and ready for takeoff-just need to press one button to connect to cat, throttle up, salute ready for launch ready and go! Searched the forum and the web to no avail, so any help in understanding how I might do this (I am guessing it's a script) is appreciated!! Thanks in advance!!!
  9. I like the way you think Lucky...will definitely give that a shot today...thanks!
  10. Hello...reported this in the DCS Discord, and then to Heatblur dev but the forum wouldn't allow me to post this at the time as my account was still new so finally making some time to troubleshoot this again. Hoping someone can shed some light here as to whether this is indeed a bug and have any knowledge of a workaround. I am afraid that being probably one of few people in the world with two motion simulators setup in line running F-14, no one will care because they are not impacted, but it' s a real downer not to be able to able to do any carrier based ops with a RIO in multiplayer because of this weird issue. To describe-when launching a multiplayer mission that starts on carrier deck with Pilot and RIO, can get everything loaded up and both users in cockpit, but when pressing active pause to start, the RIO player's simulator starts jumping around like crazy. Pilot rig is normal in same cockpit. Here's a video that I recorded after about an hour trying to take my sister up and launch her off the carrier, only to turn her off to the whole experience because of this issue. Multiplayer tandem flight works fine when launching missions already in the air and (I think on land runways as well). Stinks. Any help or insight sincerely appreciated!!
