  1. In OpenBeta 2.7.11.21408 the autopilot Alt Hold and Att Hold functions work but the Head & Steer functions do not. When selecting an off-axis heading and commanding Head mode the jet doesn't turn at all (aside from out-of-trim conditions.) Similarly, when selecting an off-axis steerpoint and commanding Steer mode the jet doesn't turn toward the steerpoint. This occurs in both single-player and multi-player, though I've only been flying on the Persian Gulf map lately--so I can't speak to whether or not it is present on other maps. 2. @Frederf @Foka Thanks for the quick response and clarification of M/. Withdrawn.
  3. [NOT A BUG] In the A-10C II, changes made to a weapon's profile from the DSMS->Select Station->PROF page (and saved) are not persisted. If the same changes are made from the DSMS->Select Weapon->VIEW PRO path, the changes are persisted. I believe this behavior may be leading to reports of autolase working inconsistently as, if the player's changes aren't saved the airframe doesn't know it should be autolasing. i7-8700K, 32GB RAM, 2TB SSD Windows 10 Pro 10.0.1.19042 DCS 2.7.6.12852 Thank you!
  4. @MAXsenna Thanks for your reply. In terms of port forwarding, yes, I have. Port forwards to 10308 for both TCP & UDP (plus TCP forwarding for SRS, TacView, and LotATC.) In addition, this happens for a buddy also configuring a server on a wireless network. In addition, I've checked that the MAC->IP mapping on the router for the wireless network is correct. No connectivity issues other than the DCS server is unreachable. If we use a wired connection, no issues it works fine. If wireless, the server is unreachable. @Maverick87ShakaNot helpful. Not rude, mind you, but not helpful.
  5. I have a DCS dedicated server running in a Windows 10 Hyper-V host. Everything runs just fine when using a wired connection but when I try to run it via a wireless connection the server becomes unreachable. I make only two changes: 1) I unplug the wired Ethernet cable, and 2) I change port fowarding on my router from the wired IP static address to the wireless IP static address. Reboot the router, and done. On the wired connection everything is good. When I change to the wireless connection the server doesn't appear in the DCS multiplayer list (WAN) or as a local DCS server (LAN.) Any help, perspective, or avenues to investigate to provide more information are most appreciated. Thank you!
  6. I run a DCS 2.7.x server in a Hyper-V virtual machine alongside my standard DCS client setup. On an i7-8700K I dedicate 2 CPUs (1 core/2 threads) to the server along with 16 GB of memory. That 52 GB disk space estimate is pure fantasy--when all the maps are installed it's over 100GB. In addition, I've see some pretty large update packages (around 50GB, if memory serves) so I run the server with a 200GB disk. That's enough for the standard server installation plus some room for logs/mods/etc. and some room for update packages to download, unzip, and install. YMMV. The dedicated server installation requires absolutely no GPU as far as I can tell. So, a Hyper-V instance with 2 CPUs, 16 GB memory, and a wired network connection should get you where you want to be. Good luck!
  7. Hi Fakum, Happy New Year! No worries, it took me a while to figure out how notifications work here, too. I don’t know the process but I’m sure shipping to Canada is *very* simple. There might be a customs declaration form but nothing complicated and any taxes or customs duties would be paid by the receiver so nothing for you to worry about. I’m sure Mower would know more and here I am speaking of that which I do not know. Good news, though! If you sell it to me you can ship it within the US and avoid all those considerations. It sounds as if you’re still using the stick and throttle you kept. Are there any issues with them? Thank you!
  8. Hi Lasagne Smoothie, Is this still available? If so, would you answer a few questions? - Does everything work on this controller? - Does it come with all the elements shipped by the manufacturer (e.g. the USB cable—I don’t see it in the photos)? - When did you purchase it? Thank you!
  9. Fakum, I’m in the US and interested. A couple of questions: - Are you willing to sell only one or must I purchase both? - Are both in working order (gently used, but working otherwise)? - How much are you asking? - Do you happen to be near San Diego, CA? Thank you!
  10. You absolutely can. And I've done this exact thing. If, however, you wish to create an herd at Sochi and set a mission fail trigger if one of your students kills a cow then do the same thing for Gudauta, Kutaisi, Kobuleti, etc. there's a lot of handling individual cows over and over again. Not a critical item, certainly, but being able to handle an herd as a group object rather than individual cows would provide me some value.
  11. I love the addition of cows in the mission editor! Thank you! Would you please make the cow a multi-unit object? So I can place a cow, then click an "x of y" iterator to place more cows in the area? Placing and moving a herd would be preferable to placing and moving 30 or 40 individual objects. Again, thank you!
  12. I run an A-10C training course and a server my students can use for practice and training. The training and the server are offered free to the Tactical DCS community. I've used the simulator scripting environment (SSE) to place comms menu F10 items so that students who come to the server can choose which training mission they wish to run and/or to reset their desired training mission so they have a known starting state (and targets to kill.) I've done this using ADD_RADIO_ITEM_FOR_COALITION to set a flag and then set a SWITCHED CONDITION to LOAD_MISSION the requested mission based upon the flag value. It works well--and if ED would like to see the result I'll be happy to share the server credentials with you--but there are three undesirable effects: 1. It's a pain to use the Mission Editor to duplicate this functionality for each mission, 2. Since the code exists in each training mission (multiple places) it's easily foreseeable that the code could get out-of-sync and defects introduced in one or more missions as a result of mis-typing or other inadvertent errors, and 3. I'm currently limited to 10 items in the comms menu--if I were able to use the ADD_RADIO_MENU_ITEM in the SSE I'd be able to offer a richer mission set via submenus to my students and the Tactical DCS community. I've looked through the OpenBeta LUA code (grep is eminently helpful) to see if a_mission_load is exposed in the SSE but it doesn't seem to be. If it is, please correct my misapprehension and advise on how I may access it from the SSE. Otherwise, please consider exposing it as a callable function in the SSE. Thank you!
  13. Thank you--so much--for making these! The day before yesterday I tried to go back to the LOMAC training missions for the F-15 and found that most of the graphical elements appear off-screen during the voice-over and pointer sections of the training. Now I can finally, and somewhat sadly, say goodbye to LOMAC. Others have mentioned how good these missions are for training up on the F-15. They are. In addition, they're beautiful. That Lesson 7 with the thunderstorm and lightning... the advanced takeoff mission at dusk with multiple cloud layers... I marvel at the work ED has done to give us a beautiful environment but you, you show it at it's very best. In addition, the richness of multiple AI aircraft including an Su-25 formation wingman, multiple F-15Cs and F-15Es, helis, and other aircraft. I'm in the process of creating training missions for the A-10C and I now know what I should strive for. Thank you. One note I found is that in the advanced takeoff mission you say Ctrl-Alt-L to enable the beacon. It seemed to me that didn't work and that Ctrl-L is a three-way toggle: exterior lights off, beacon, exterior lights and beacon (or, as I think of it, perhaps a four-way because it seems I could get exterior non-beacon lights as well.) A niggle, though.
