Are there any plans or mods to build better looking and more ground assets in the modern day? Improved FOBs, Hardened Shelters, Haciendas, Drug Labs, Training Camps etc.? I know nothing about coding but it would seem a relatively simple task to make hundreds of destructible props for mission scripters?

Wow looks awesome, what are you using, 3D printer, CNC etc?

There are some older threads on here where a couple of guys did cube builds and others, I think it was @BHawthornewho knows a lot about projectors who gave a lot of information, if it wasnt his build and also I think they were using simpit.co.nz. The A-10 Cube projector project?? Perhaps a thread search, but there is definitely something on here similar to what your picture shows.

Dynamic Campaign Discussion Thread
Mr_Burns replied to winchesterdelta1's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Any updates on it? I know when its done but I havn't been following DCS news recently? -
Not sure what my 4 year old post that is quoted adds to this but I am not sure you own any of the IP that is claimed as being plagiarized, the measurements of the A-10 would surely be owned by whoever commissioned the design, certainly every military contract I worked on the IP was vested in the counterparty of the contract and not the manufacturer. Selling a Hawk to Indonesia didnt give them the right to measure and profit from publishing that data. That said, your time and effort and expense in obtaining the equipment that allows you to share such information should be compensated be that monetary or by recognition, whatever you feel is a fair repayment, but as I said, you are publishing someone elses IP, if it were worth the legal fees, by rights, you should offer a percentage of that back to the actual owner of the IP so they can consider what is fair payment?

So sad and so young, RIP man.

Just going to bump this a bit... I decided to get back into the A-10C without VR, something about the beautiful crisp 4K scenery. Anyone made any A-10C pages for Touch Portal they are willing to share, as I am staring making one.

Mr_Burns replied to Opal 4-1's topic in Virtual Reality

Budget VR on modest rig! This isn't supposed to work!!!!
Mr_Burns replied to Opal 4-1's topic in Virtual Reality
Maybe I expect too much, i can see it perfectly if i zoom in but cannot read NOT SOI from the seat easily and then the data on the screen is useless unless I move towards them . Messed around with pixel density up and down, resoloution and IPD and it diesnt make them any more, or any less visible, they just seem out of focus to my eyes. Im am using the Occulus wireless also. -

Hrmmm, I have my resoloution cranked up to 4060 or something the same as the headset. yours is 1280x768? Antristropic was 2x everything else very similar. Pixel density 1.6 and dont know what IPD is? How do I work that out please? -

Im about to bin mine, I did a cheapy. Occulus Quest 2 Intel Core i5 11600K 6-Core LGA 1200 3.9GHz Unlocked CPU G.Skill Ripjaws V 32GB (2x 16GB) DDR4 3600MHz Memory - Black ASRock Z590 Phantom Gaming 4/ac Intel LGA 1200 ATX Motherboard Win 10 Cannot see the MFDs at all and cant see anything on the ground, also makes me feel sick which I think is the jittering, getting 40fps mostly. What blew me away was the depth perception of the cockpit, I did not realise it would be in 3D and it freaks me out and dogfighting is awesome with rapid 360 head movements, but I was thinking of getting back into the A-10C for some ground pounding but the unreadable MFDs is a game changer. I dont understand all the settings so I copied some Occulus Tray Tool settings but never attempted to load mods and shaders?? -

I just updated my old i7-2600k after many years faithful service and bought an i5-11600k The 1160k says 'turbo boost up to 4.9ghz' now if you are my vintage, turbo boost was something Michael Knight pressed on his speaking Trans Am called KIT. Do I have to press a Turbo Boost (aka Overclock it) or does it do this automatically when DCS demands MOAR!!! Appreciate the help.

June 2021 - I have $600 AUD - Should I buy a Rift S
Mr_Burns replied to Mr_Burns's topic in Virtual Reality
Thank you. Quest 2 ordered. -
I know I had to be 'that guy' and it may get moved to the other forum but I gotta ask here. Spec: i5-11600k, 32GB DDR4-3600 and I had to use my older RTX 2060 for now. So much information out there but a recent review suggested the Rift S as a good allrounder for this price Appreciate any advice about the options I have for VR, would only be for DCS and Racing, I dont think I could do FPS in one.

Remember this old gem from the early days of DCS: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/270123/ I wonder why ED dont incorporate something like this in their GUI as a standard setting?

I bet its easier on the ears too?

@agrasyuk Recon I could send these the PCB design and get a run priced already built? https://www.pcbway.com/quotesmt.aspx

They look awesome, thats the MAX487 chip inbetween VIN and TX1? How do you sequence them? Will need to work out how many, do you just get the boards and install the pins or can you get them ready made? I really dont want to ask anyone to solder for me unless I am paying for it and they enjoy it or need it! @agrasyuk

Sorry about this, I was saying I struggle to make the RS485 board to use multiple Arduinos, does anyone know if they are made professionally by anyone?
