I was thinking something better would come out, Track IR is fine, I use it just fine but dont phones have gimbals and accelerometers in them? So why you use them in Google Cardboard, they act like real VR but without the cameras? I could imagine a small box or something clipped to a hat that did it, but would probably have to be wired to send power and signal? Amyway, I am not able to invent anything for you!

Damn you ED, Im learning the Hornet, now I am getting drawn back into my old faithful A-10C....there isn't enough room in my head to be proficient on two types and I had hoped to get into a Chopper too. $9.99 is fantastic and I truly hope you get some new pilots into DCS and on the A-10C as it is a great interactive jet.

I am enjoying it although I still havnt managed to pass Mission 1 as the bandits got me both times (and the wingman is shit!).

I bought the latest Track-Ir many years ago (well I am on TIR5) and I always found it hit and miss, some times i even thought of reverting back to the HAT the TIR was so bad. Recently though its running like silk. I had a new monitor and desktop setup, seemed the IR camera may have this sweet spot where I could actually look behind me pretty consistently when dog fighting. Nothing has changed, then yesterday and today, its a jumpy temperamental disgrace, can look left awesome, cannot look right without it reverting to looking zoomed in at the floor of the cockpit. Reminded me of why I hate TrackIR so much. I am not interested in VR right now, cannot afford it, but why can (or does it) track your head so well that the expensive TIR cannot match? Is there anything you can add to TIR to improve the 360 tracking? I will calm down in a few hours but right now I feel like putting the fking thing in the microwave, was getting into a mission and it completely spazzed out.

Did they? I mean there is an EB Games and some other software store full of hard copy games in every shopping center. Including selling Minecraft Special Addition, Skyrim and some cartoon sh1t XBox came out with selling models of characters which could be activated by placing them on a stand. Personally I dont think its a bad idea at all, would love to have a collection of my DCS purchases that could be displayed.

Been flying this for years, watched Lex T last night, outstanding explanations, very much appreciate the time spent making them and the sharing of knowledge, recommend them highly for anyone who wants to learn how to fly this thing properly. Much more satisfaction doing it properly than flying it into the runway!

Watching the pro's teach us on youtube it seems you can just control it all with the throttle. I have the TM Warthog Hotas and it just isnt that sensitive to manage anything, no only dropping on the turn but creating lift without pulling on the stick, am am all over the vertical axis on the stick. I thought the height during the bank and then the decent were all controlled by the throttle and there was no need to touch the stick (in relation to holding altitude).

Just been playing around with Touch Portal, it seems it can do multipliers but you have to set them us as two separate key presses. Press and hold = SHIFT Key Press = 1 Stop Holding = SHIFT DCS Reads Shift + 1 Its a Bit quirky, you Do the Virtual Key Press = 1 first The do Press and Hold = Shift Then you Move the Press and Hold to the top and they create a little box around the 1

On the strength of this thread I just purchased the pro version, already got a hornet UFC up an running. Problem is, I cannot seem to use multipliers. Not using Vjoy either. Any advice?

But if you are going to the lengths you are describing, then a “draw on the map with color” will be 5 years away. The OP was asking for a shared space of the F10 view to draw on for briefings.

True dat..I fly hundreds of missions against narcotics in the mountains, the LGB vs Party in Clear and Present Danger but in the Caucuses, no problems here and agree with the sand map, enough already! With the Falkland Islands and the new Pacific Islands there will be some nice sea maps. Perhaps an alternative would be to use the WW2 map and create modern airfields and cities or update the Caucuses. And my final word on this today, I truly think before any new maps are created, unless third party, they need to be more interactive. By this I mean, proper destructible buildings with people interacting with buildings (ie. Civilians and Soldiers can enter and try and hide, better damage systems, potentially the ability to replace a mapped building with a mission building so there are not thousands of interactive buildings per map) and importantly, sea environment including Subs.

Cold War Europe, but anyway, if you have this map it will need a Tornado GR2 and GR4 so get the Tonka then do whichever map you want.

I set my pinky on the hotas which is a toggle switch to fire the laser, that way it stays on.
