  1. Hey everyone, Been super busy working and saving for a house. We finally bought one and I got a nice 24 x 24 garage and a computer room about 18x28 =). Unfortunately I had to destroy my pit and now I have to start all over again!!! Good thing is my father gave me all his woodworking tools =) and my wife agreed to help me get a CNC router. So hopefully this build will be more precise then the last one.
  2. Well...I am not sure what is going on. Low settings high settings affinity or not with DCS max I can not get this game over 30 fps. With my old 8800 GTS I was getting a little over 40 fps with dcsmax now no matter what I do it seems to be stuck at 30 fps. I should point out my other games are really smooth with very nice frame rates. Does BS not play nice with AMD CPU's?
  3. My system went poof =) bad mainboard so I grabbed a AMD Phenom Tripple Core CPU, mainboard and ram =) Oh and I snuck in a Geforce 250 with 1GB!
  4. I totally forgot to post this sorry Londo =)
  5. Hello, I am building a collective from scratch and I am having a problem getting my mini stick on the collective box to slew the Shkval camera. I have gone into the axis section under controls and assigned absolute Shkval slew to both axis but it does not work. Any idea what I might be doing wrong? The mini stick (from an playstation 2 controller) is recognized in Windows as the x and y axis on a Leo Bodnar USB game card.

  7. I will post my monitor config tomorrow =)
  8. I am going to use micro switches for all those one above the shaft one below the shaft. So if you pull up on a lever you trigger the increase command and if you push down on a lever you trigger the decrease command.
  9. It has a link to the dimensions on a different site....
  10. Naw not a noob question. I am only using two monitors. One is a Viewsonic 28.5" for the main screen and for the Shkval and Abris I have them on one Gateway 20" widescreen LCD. %5Bimg%5Dhttp%3A//chenardorin.googlepages.com/HPIM0157.JPG[/img] You sir are correct =) One screen behind the panel.
  11. I removed the Hud control box off the panel (I think its called that) as I didn't like the way it looked. Hey Cat guess what =) my cyclic is COMPLETE!!!! Off to build a new collective head as per triggers drawings =) I can feel the HOCAS now =) in short time I will be able to fly.
  12. Soooo allmost there I can fly soon =) I am really excited as Cat let me watch a mission he was doing last night and that lit a fire under my behind =) This is pretty huge for me!!
  13. He hasn't saved me any work....I wasn't going to build a simpit until I saw his ;)~ but serisously thank you Trigger =)
  14. That is your measurements for 1. For 2 I just kinda winged it =) http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=698173&postcount=51
  15. As promised Trigger here is the new breakout board I have designed using DB9 male and female connectors. Total cost to build was about 15.00 Canadian. I used a thin piece of MDF 1/4" and drilled 12 3/4" holes in it. Here are a few pics of the DB9 connectors mounted. I put the female from one side and the male from the other side. I then soldered a jumper around one side of the connectors on the board (only done two atm) I also soldered a cable from row one and column one on the BU0836 to row one and column one on the breakout board. So the basic result is one wire going into the board from the back and 9 possible connections on the front of the adapter(could do more if it is needed by using DB25 connectors.) If you want me to transfer this to another thread I would be happy as to not distract from your thread Trigger =) Edit: Some pics of it almost completed. You can see the diodes ready to accept the switch wire.
  16. Are you going to use soft rubber buttons on the front for the Abris or hard plastic ones? Resin would allow you shape them any way you wanted. I am curious how you plan to finish them.
  17. Your DB25 connectors have given me an idea for a matrix Trigger. I will post pictures if it works!!!
