I have done all these things. I put the system in missle override mode for AMRAAM. I have master arm on. I lock on using RWS or TWS. I press the trigger for a few seconds. Nothing. I think there must be one step in the auto start that does not configure and prevents me from firing. Going to try again tonight to see if I can figure it out and let you know. Is there a guide as to what else needs to be configured after you use the auto start cheat? Such as the RWR and the countermeasures?

Hello, I believe this might be a very noob question. I am playing a mission that requires cold start and I use the auto-start cheat to start the F-16. The mission is in the Marianas and it is an intercept of Chinese bombers. When auto-start is complete I take off and fly to the enemy. I lock on as normal. I make sure that master arm is on. However, when I press the button to fire the AMRAAM i refuses to fire. I am well within range. Sorry for the noob question, but why will it not fire. I suspect that it has something to do with the auto start and it not preparing something. I found for example that the auto start does not turn on the RWR or turn on countermeasures. Thank you for the help.

Thank you so much - that is what I was doing wrong... I was in missile override mode, so that when I pressed AA again it did not go to NAV mode. Thanks for your patience here, but one last question...how do you get out of missile override mode? I usually use missile override mode to get into AMRAM or sidewinders since that is the fastest was on my HOTAS. Pressing the buttons on the screens takes too long. Thanks again. I think the problem I was having accessing the FCR is that I always use the missle override mode at the start just to get in AA in transit to the target. Then when I get to the target i'm stuck in override mode and don't know how to access the other modes.

Can you please remind me how to get to NAV maser mode? I though I could get there by pressing the AA or AG button a second time, but does not seem to do it. Thank you

This might be the problem... I try to access the ATG FCR when I have a sidewinder and aamram loadout...no air to ground weapons on the plane. Are you saying that I need air to ground weapons on the plane to access the ATG FCR? What if I want to use guns to attack a ground target but my loadout is air to air?

Hello - I hope you are doing well. I cannot access the air to ground radar on the f-16! Based on youtube tutorials it should be as easy as pressing the AG button right below the HUD. Also when I am in the FCR page there is no option for ATG radar. Is my DCS in an old version that does not have this or what? I am using steam with automatic updates and the game seems up to date! Please help!

Hi all, I have a warthog HOTAS system. When targeting the Maverick F version my understanding is that you uncage the seeker and then slew the seeker using the TDC while holding down the TDC. I can’t do it. The TDC does not seem to respond. The TDC works fine when I use it for radar or other functions. Does anyone experience this? Thanks.

Hi, I am looking for a wingman to play the Oil in the Water 2 player co-op campaign. It is a super carrier Persian gulf campaign. I live in the Mountain Time Zone and I use VR and voice attack. I have kids, so this will be pretty casual - a mission or two a week max. I am okay at the F-18 - I can do air-to-air and air to ground using dumb bombs, laser guided and GPS bombs plus mavericks. Let me know if you are in my time zone and want to try it out!

Thanks. That is interesting. I not overclocking my CPU. I have never tried that. Does it mean I need to get some new cooling equipment? How can I even tell how hot my cpu is at any given time and how high it can go. Any resources for over lock noobs?

Hi All - my CPU is an Intel i7-6700K 4.00ghz. I bought it a few years ago and I feel that it might be a bottleneck in my search to improve my VR experience. I have a 2080ti for a GPU. For those of you who are savvy about hardware, is there new CPUs out there that would give me a significant improvement in terms of VR quality over the CPU that I currently have? So o did as recommended and shot two HARMS at the SA-10. Direct hits in both the search and the tracking radar. I saw the missiles in F6 mode. But zero effect. It was as though the radars were invulnerable. Any explanation for this? Thanks
