My results Under the most recent patch from last week DLed the latest VSN 105 here : VSN Mods: DCS World Stable und OpenBeta https://filehorst.de/folder.php?key=duuqITUb DELETE YOUR OLD VSN-F105 ( contains the D and G models) F-105D works fine F-1105G has the rectangle shadow artifact under it. I have DLed the LUA file above on this page but have not tried it yet Currently the below WILL cause DCS not to startup. I have tested this several times: VSN FA-18F VSN FA-18C I have found no work around The VSN FA-18CBlk20 from the link/page above works fine. 1MAY2022

RE The VSN F-105 causing DCS not to start post the recent update from this week: For me it is not just the VSN F-105. I removed it and DCS still isnt starting so I am going to remove all of my VSN MOD aircraft..... AND ALL OTHERS and add one at a time and test.

I have DLed this thing but have not flown it yet. I see a lot of folks posting LUA files. Are these improvements to make things work that do not OR to improve the originals to the point of fixing things that do not work ? Thanks ! some redundancy of meaning there but I think you get it

My beef is it has simply not always been this EXCESSIVELY fragile - it was FAR closer to the real specs for the real F-5E. Dawg has laid that out in data. If others disagree and think it is fine as it is now - good for them. Where is their data? I will keep checking in on it to see if it gets addressed - otherwise I will eventually blow it off my hard drive if it doesnt and drive tha fuk on and forget it. Hope that doesn't happen. Love the jet but I am not going to continue to fly it in this shitty condition someone thought was a """good""" idea.

=475FG= Dawger stated EXACTLY what I knew was going on to begin with. He has FAR greater patience than I do in this thread and in life in general. BELOW are the SIMPLE facts eloquently, accurately and briefly stated by Dawger - and they are - beyond dispute. It has nothing to do with someone's """""""DCS flying flying skill""""" OR - """"""what are you doing at 11Gs anyway???""" ( One damn thing for sure is ..........what ever we are doing at 11G is what we want to do and is no one else's business). Where in TF did that $H*t come from ? It is a SIMPLE statement going NO further than the structural integrity vs. Mr. G of the F-5E in DCS. IT IS INACCURATE. FKN PERIOD. One hopes that after buying this thing (and others) and paying good money for it that things like this will be addressed. The same is true of ANY aircraft purchased. It will either be addressed or it will not. If it isn't, it sends a signal to consumers as to what choice to make the next time around. Some ASSume that these things are GOLD right out of the box. They are not. Changes also result in DCS upgrades/updates across these aircraft ..........IF you are paying attention...... and they are not all documented. Several problems like this have been addressed by several of the aircraft producers/vendors after it has been brought to their attention - which is the RIGHT THING to do by anyone that wants to continue to make a profit. We will see where it goes with the F-5E Tiger II. FACTS The DCS F-5 wing breaks at 11 G the first time you reach it, which is demonstrably wrong. The DCS F-5 will shed its wings with very minor roll inputs above 7 G, also demonstrably wrong. SO SAYETH THE DAWG - SO IT HAS BEEN WRITTEN LONG LIVE THE DAWG END OF STORY. JESUS TAP DANCING CHRIST

I was honkin it around pretty good when the wings decided to say ""FCK IT"". That said - they didnt use to be so flimsy. Enough people are talking about it now in YT vids etc etc now so we will see where it goes.

Seems like before 2.7 - maybe back in 2.5.6 there were two Russian Destroyers. There only appear to be 2 frigates now. Am I nuts or did there used to be 2 canned ED Russian DDs? Elvis

This is a skin question - please PARDON ME - I am aware but I am trying to increase visibility on this. Early after the 21 came out the Russian Air Force flew a demo group with highly polished skins. Very nearly with a chrome silver appearance. During the Vietnam war USAF Ace Steve Ritchie tangle with a chrome like highly polished NVAF MiG-21. I cant find the author ( blue the Fedexlord) of the below. Done a search but nothing turns up other than his 3-4 skins. Not sure if I can message him here or not. If you can message authors here I am unaware of how to do so. The fix or addon to what I seek would be this jet WITH Russian Airforce markings. NO doubt most 21 fans here have seen the chrome MiG-21bis. It comes in gold and chrome silver. Anyone know how to get markings on either? I am not a skinner. I think that would be SWEEEEEET !!!! THANKS Elvis
