  1. Thank you. Forgot to ensure I was listed as Red. Changed to Russia from Poland and all good now.
  2. I am making a simple mission for the MiG-21Bis out of Krmysk. I have select 9 on the radio channel selector. When I go to request Tower permission to start engine I am stymied. After F5 for...ATC I get a list of airfields F1 thru F10 but none of them are for Krymsk. Is there a way to edit the list or is there a simpler solution? Cheers Peter
  3. Thanks Daemoc, I shall give them some skills like Veteran or similar. Cheers PC
  4. I am probably making a very simple mistake so have included some pictures that someone can see my error. I am using the new Normandy 2.0 scenery and am trying to have a flight with myself leading to intercept some German bombers enroute to my home airfield. My mission map shows there should be 4 x Spitfires on the runway at Carpiquet. However when I look from my cockpit there is just me. If I call on the common frequency 118.3 I get no acknowledgement. If I take off there are no other members of my flight around so its a Nigel No Friends experience. Is it to do with setting the SKILL? I have tried all x CLIENT and me PLAYER and 3 x client. No difference that I can see. Any ideas appreciated. Cheers PC
  5. Hi Hoss, No not really. I am mainly into single player flight sim stuff like P3D and MSFS. I have a lot of DCS scenery and aircraft so I do like to have a play every now and again. Never been much for anything multiplayer. Cheers PC
  6. Thanks. I downloaded the checklist file and extracted it to the saved games folder. This made a new Kneeboard Folder with the two checklists in it. Cheers PC
  7. Can anyone help me as regards the actual location of the Kneeboard folder for the Spitfire in Normandy 2.0? I have tried searching using "Kneeboard" in all the locations suggested on google but nothing comes up for the Spit or Normandy. It is definitely in the sim as I can bring it up easily using a key combo and move back and forward using other key combos. I would like to add some .png files with my checklists to it. This is explained well in YouTube clips but I need that location to proceed with it. Many Thanks Peter
  8. That sounds good. So once I spot them is there any way to let them know where the enemy are. Obviously if I start shooting I guess they will know. But other than that? It seems at the moment I am limited to just leading a 4 ship. Or have I missed something. The YouTube videos out there are great but often they dont quite provide what I am looking for. Cheers, PC
  9. I am trying to set up a fairly simple mission based out of Carpiquet. I have set up a few groups of Spitfire IXs parked on the ramps and some AI Mosquitos randomly parked. Also I have placed 4 x airfield defence artillery units spaced around the airfield. I have also made up a similar enemy airfield setup away to the south with 3 Ju88s on the runway bombed up and waypointed to Carpiquet. Numerous AI scattered around that airfield (Orly?) and a number of Flak37mm units to defend it. So far so good. How do I ensure that when I take off to intercept the Ju88s I am not on my own and my accompanying flight members will join me and obey my orders to attack my target or watch my back? Cheers Peter
  10. Can anyone help with my Drogue Chute problem? When I fly a circuit I raise the gear (putting handle in neural) and flaps and then circuit around to join the the pattern at around 450 kph. I uncover the drogue chute button (near the cannon arming buttons) and fly final approach at around 350 kph after setting flaps to half then full. I cross the threshold just under 300 and touch down on the mains before lowering the nose and waiting til my airspeed is under 220 kph and applying wheel brake. I then actuate the drogue chute button mapped to a button on my HOTAS using the keypress under Control Options for this function. I have even tried mouse clicking the button to no avail. The chute never appears. The CBs are all active and I am left wondering what on earth have I missed? Update. This issue occurred whilst doing the take off lesson and landing after that. However doing the landing lesson the braking parachute worked OK. Cheers Peter Coveney
  11. Many thanks for this. " If you have a HOTAS warthog check your flap switch on the throttle as that is normally assigned to main power." I checked my control binding and sure enough the HOTAS flap switch is assigned to main power. And my switch was in the down position. I dont think I would found this for a very long time. Thanks again, Peter
  12. Hi, I can check the tutorial again and see but from memory it was set to Nav. I have lost count of the mission editor Youtube videos I have scanned this afternoon trying to fond how to make a simple mission whereby my third steerpoint becomes the focus for my CBUs using CCRP but they also presuppose you have a TGP fitted. I was hoping the mission editor would let you edit the waypoint to say "This is the target". But there isnt that option. In the tutorial there isnt a TGP fitted . Hmm. A bit frustrating.
  13. HI, No. I never touch it. The lessons are bit porked anyway. For example with the CBU87 tutorial the screens are blank so so you have to move the battery switch to main pwr and cancel out the master caution warning. Then the INS is skew whiff judging by the misaligned pitch ladder. I am guessing the tutorials were done before the big upgrade to the INS system. I have ended up designing a simple mission similar to the tutorial. Just need to see how to make my steerpoint #3 the designated target spot for CCRP bombing. CCIP bombing works as long as the steerpoint is selected in the DED but not CCRP. Fun and games. Peter
  14. I think this could be the problem. Incorrect INS alignment. I guess this means the tutorials are not much use if they start in the air? Peter
