  1. Hello, Thank you for the fast help. Cheers, Ron Sagel
  2. Hello, I just reloaded the newest version of DCS World with all of my aircraft (I own all). I am setting up my controls and am using the Autostart on my aircraft to get started and test axis. My stick is a Saitek X52. My Huey works fine as does my KA-50 and A10. A real Newbie question here - When I start my P51 and the auto start says it is ready to fly, the stick does not move any surfaces. I know the X52 is working because I can go to the Options and look at the Axis Tuning. My pedals do not move the rudder either. I'm sure I am missing something simple here but I read everything I can find and am still stumped! Thanks in advance for Newbie help here, Cheers, Ron Sagel
  3. Hello, I changed the KA-50 to SIM mode and the key assignment worked OK. Maybe they only work in the SIM mode for some aircraft? Cheers, Ron Sagel
  4. Hello, Thanks for the response. The problem is not where they are. My problem is they do not do the start-up. I tried to add keys to my joystick buttons. It still only works for the helo. Cheers, Ron Sagel
  5. Hello, I am just getting back to the DCS sims after a long layoff. I downloaded all of the new system and all of my updates (I have them all). It seems that the only system that my "Auto start" works in is my new Huey. Is there something I am missing here or is the Huey the only system where the LWindow-Home keys do the start up. Thanks in advance and cheers, Ron Sagel
  6. Hello, Just a final word on my "controller woes". The problem was from the Saitek driver that I was using. I downloaded the 64 bit version for my X52 and it all works fine now. I now use Win 7 64 bit. Thanks for all the help. Merry XMAS and cheers to all Ron Sagel
  7. Hello, It is the best that I have used so far( my X52) but it does not let me use the key mapping correctly. Maybe someone out there knows what the problem may be. Cheers, Ron Sagel
  8. HELLO and thanks - The problem with the key bindings is my X52 Saitek. I switched to an old MS Sidewinder and all of the bindings work fine. What stick is suggested for the BS2 system by users? I might as well get one that will work with my system Thanks and cheers and Merry XMAS to all Ron Sagel
  9. Hello, I seem to be having a few "misunderstandings" with my latest version. Just bought and installed BS2 1.1.1.1. After reading a lot and flying a few "setup" missions on my controls (X52 stick, CH pedals, DELL XPS Win 7 64 bit) I cannot seem to figure out the following: 1. How do I assure that I am in a certain mode (game or sim)? 2. I cannot get the AUTO START CHEAT to work in SIM. Works fine in GAME 3. I cannot assign a JOYSTICK key to the CHEAT in SIM MODE Maybe the CHEAT does not work in SIM Mode. Last, is there a complete manual for start up available for me to follow and learn? The real challenge for me is starting up cold and dark. The one I found is not complete. There is a lot to learn in the SIM version. Thanks in advance to all- cheers and merry XMAS Ron Sagel
  10. Hello, I tried to read all the doc's but no go for this so far- 1. In the SIM MODE - my CHEAT to start the bird (LWIN-HOME) does not do the start. 2. I cannot reassign the CHEAT to another key on my X52- it works in the GAME mode (reassign) but not in the sim mode. 3. Last - Is there a way in the mission planner to reset the start conditions of the mission (say eng running) - most of the change areas are "greyed out" when I load a mission into the Editor. Sorry for the bother here but I'm stumped on these things. Thanks in advance, Ron Sagel
  11. Thank you, I'll train with the GAME and then switch to the SIM. Cheers. Ron Sagel
  12. Hello, What is the difference between the game mode and the sim mode? Thanks in advance, Ron Sagel
  13. NEWBIE QUESTION-GAME OR SIM Hello, What is the difference between the KA-50 Game Mode and the KA-50 Sim Mode? Thanks in advance, Ron Sagel
  14. Hello, In both my A10 beta and my FC2 - sometimes, for no apparent reason, the mouse symbol begins to Climb from the bottom of the screen to the top. It keeps this up until I reboot the computer. Could this be my Saitek X52 software? Any ideas here please? Thanks in advance, Ron Sagel
