  1. Previous OpenXR user with standalone DCS. Since updating startup hangs and SteamVR insists on opening which is freaking irritating as I don't want SteamVR. Was all working perfectly pre the latest patch, now it's totally fubarred and I haven't a clue where to start with this mess. Deleted SteamVR and now DCS does start with OpenXR as it should, hardly ideal though as I need SteamVr for other programs. Found the culprit. For some reason in the WMR portal the setting for 'When I open Mixed Reality Portal, automatically start Windows Mixed Reality for SteamVR' had checked itself.
  2. Close but I'd say February 15th as a love gift... Though saying that imagine it, all the excuses why you can't take partners out for a nice meal...
  3. Tried the Channel map yesterday for the first time. The only problem I have now is that after flying in MS2020 in VR every other sim seems like toy town especially with regard to the colours. Both the Channel and Normandy maps seem like they're coloured with kids crayons i.e. bright greens and totally unrealistic for the area. I know that MS2020 uses bing data, but it's more than that as the terrain, foliage, buildings, colours, pretty much everything is spot on. Here's hoping that DCS implement something similar in the future.
  4. Bear in mind that the slew upgrade is made in batches, so if you want it order earlier rather than later. I fitted this some years ago and it makes control of the radar cursor and maverick view what it should have been with the stock hog. Incidently I also use for directional thrusters during parking in Elite Dangerous as it gives supreme control...
  5. IL-2 currently has great raindrop effects when you fly through clouds and they stream back from the canopies very realistically. No reason why the same couldn't be incorporated into DCS though more for helos as jets tend not to worry about wipers...:D
  6. Looking forwards to the new cockpit, hope it looks as good in VR...
  7. Looks like the new cockpit is incoming soon...:D
  8. Also waiting patiently for the updated Ka-50 as it was my original module many years ago and I've always loved it.
  9. Liking the new cockpit, I had to adjust my IPD and seat position but that's understandable. A Rift S user appreciates the hard work...
  10. Had a CV1 for 2 years, now updated to the Rift S for the past 3 months. Rift S is a massive upgrade from the CV1 in all aspects except audio. There isn't a 'small' increase in resolution, it's night and day. All gauges are clearly visible in both DCS and IL-2. Inside out tracking is great, glad to get away from sensors all over the shop.
  11. Nice tip on the DMS long down, much easier than fiddling with the rotary...:D
  12. Makes you wonder who would be so malicious. Your app. is excellent and a real asset to the DCS community. Thank you for your hard work and dedication...
