  1. This is a very well structured survey. Although I am not Polish, I was intrigued by its results. I did however found a very important relevant question missing:
How long were you involved with DCS
This question was essential to correlate the depth of involvement with the sim with the answers in a meta analysis fashion. It is nonetheless a huge undertaking and I am sure it will benefit somebody. Thanks for sharing!

Out of curiosity, what airspeed and/or sink rate did you use to achieve that 10:1 glide ratio?

and also meteo conditions. do they still have their wings? Is base commander cool with the results? important and even critical questions indeed!

"even awaiting until target disappears under the reflector glass as you can see here"

this is also important note to aware

it all depends on speed, angle, distance from the traget, height from the traget, wind direction ETC

you gotta develope your 6th sense in such a way that you gotta caculate all these factors all at once while you are diving in to the target 🙃

No the sight method does not work with all SC bombs because they are originally not in line with the sight they are pointed away even from the long axis. The best method I found is to skip bomb at a very low altitude at a preset speed. That gives predictable and repeatable results. Do not use dive tables because the sight is

    1- fixed

    2- not depressible.

also do not use 45 and 30 becaue you have no way in the pit or on the etched to perfectly hit said angles. That is just a ruse these guys type to make it more difficult.

Why? ... I bet you also think the same of the I-16 too 🙂

DCS already has three trainers: C-101, L-39, and the MB.339 ... are you really looking forward to another one?

Are you aware that those belong to Eagle Dynamics, while the  Chirsten Eagle is the work of a third party?

Of course, like there are so many DCS users purchasing assets Packs (most whine all the time about why the WW2 Assets pack isnt free).

I totally understand that the CE2 isn't the combat aircraft most users want, but ranting about it is so pointless ... 😞

its not about military or not its about the state of being finished is what I am ranting about, mind you as a paying customer....

and that is enough to consider it only half-finished? ... bugs that you can't even mention? ... 🙄

when it comes to a basic feature like sound which defines fidelity, then I guess yes it is half-finished. And I am not the beta tester or getting paid to test the module and you have the bug reports section to see your list of bugs that I mentioned...

That is a nice thing to notice, however, only the mag declination is not enough. Current amnd wind also have an effect on the difference between compass course and course over ground. Both off course when their not dead ahead or dead astern. Calculating the mag declination is easy and is a fixed value for every certain area (don't blindly use the same value from the Marianas on the Normandy or South Atlantic maps) but calculating the course correction for current and wind is also depending on the speed of the ship itself and might thus be somewhat difficult for someone not trained for navigation.

Yeah that too lots of variables need to be in the GUI for mission makers

  6. hello and welcome onboard. when I started DCS (flaming cliffs 2.x) in 2009 I had a thrustmaster tflight hotas x. Mind you I was flying perfectly the blackshark module (standalone, early build) using this same stick. Then I transitioned to CH Products in 2012 and kept flying with them until 2015 when I bought the TMWH (by then I was flying the A-10C). Then the warthog developed issues and I reverted back to CH from 2019 to 2023. Recently I got involved with electrical stuff and got around to fixing my warthog stick.

My advice to you is, buy ANY stick as long as you don't factor user reviews. I recommend CH products if you want something that works and has functionality and impeccable user support. followed by thrustmaster.

For rudder I used the CH pro rudder and then transitioned to MFG Crosswind in 2017 (still use it to this day). Both are of great build and good for DCS but MFG has A LOT of travel and precision (2048 on the center mark. to this day)

For your problems I suspect you have a conflicting axis bind somewhere in the axes settings of the F-18C module. How to tell?

If one row of one control (for example pitch) has two entries this is the cause of your problem). Normally when you purchase ANY DCS module, the first thing to do (mantra) is to clear category in both axis controls drop down and all but axis controls drop down. Then you know for fact that your controller is totally unassigned and not conflicting with another.

You might want to invest in a tablet (unless you already have one).

Sorry for this very long passage but it goes without saying I want to genuinely help you as a newcomer. Enjoy your stay and see you online when you are ready!

    That is correct.
But for your own wellbeing, and for the sake of better DCS performance, it is a smart move to exlude the DCS folders from the antivirus.
The risk of getting infected from ED, is not very likely.

I agree. Antivirus is bad for performance.
