  1. Ok I have searched the forum for an answer and only found one thread that didn't answer my question so here we go. I can't get the throttle nor the roll on the joystick to work. I have blackshark so I've done this before and I did get it to work once but the next time I loaded the game it didn't work. I have done everything. I have the game in simulation mode. Ive cleared all axis assignments and entered all assignments again (done this several times) but to no good. I cant play this game unless I get this to work so I'm rather frustrated. Btw I can see the movement working when I go into the axis tune thing. Pedals working, pitch on the joystick is working. EDIT Got it to work :)
  2. I bet she can do the job as good as any man could
  3. It is but when you start using trackir there is no turning back. I cant understand why I didnt get this earlier. I can only say that you get a lot for the money if you play simulators.
  4. well done, I will give it a try even though I suck at editing things myself :P
  5. I agree. I love dynamic campaigns and I wish DCS would make it possible. Right now it is an realistic sim but without a dynamic campaign it falls back a bit I think. +1
  6. Take your time mate. Its better to get a good program then to have something made in a rush :)
  7. When I look at this mod I see that its almost what I have done. I have changed the angle of the rudders, used some foam but maybe I can do it better :) Thanks for the link
  8. With all do respect, that was a bit patronizing. I think most of us know that BS is pushing the limits on the CPU but regardless it is a bit frustrating when the stutter and freezing happens when everything goes hot so this thread is all about tips to solve this problem not meant as a complain against your lovely work on this tremandous sim.
  9. The thing in my case is that I always move collective, rudders, cyclic before starting up my bird so this was not the problem. The collective was stuck on 50% and the animation bugg or what it is is just the animation in my case, not stuck on 50% throttle anymore :)
  10. I had this problem myself a couple of days ago. I was starting up my bird and as soon as I moved throttle to auto my bird took off. As I am a verry picky person I couldnt just end the game so I did manage to land by lowering throttle to idle and then emergency land the bird. I calibrated the collective and poked around a bit and the problem was gonne. I still can see that the collective in the chopper does exactly what you say. First it does not move untill I increase my G940 collective about halfway then it jumps to the middle but it does not make any problems on the game itself, the collective power still moves but the collective in the heli does not untill halfway. Don't remember having this problem before with my X52 but then I could have missed it.
  11. I thank you all for the answer and I was wrong. My mistake must have been watching real helicopters on film and some, as someone mentioned, reste their heels on the floor and just using their toes/front of the foot when applying rudder :) Why I asked this question is because sometimes when I apply rudder I slip and I apply to much, my leggs are shaking maybe cause Im to tense :P. If I used the toe brakes instead and just flipping my foot this problem would be eliminated. Well I want my bird to be realistic so in this case my idea will go to the trash can :P
  12. Something that have crossed my mind is that many helicopters and I think that includes the KA-50:s rudder pedals is used by using the toes or the front of the foot and pressing down the pedal to change direction not by pressing the leggs forward. Am I right? I think it would be more precise to use the toe brakes on the G940 to make rudder controlls and to assign a button on the cyclic for the wheel brakes (as it is on the real KA-50). The thing is that I cant find a way to do this cause I can only assign one axis input for the rudder, not left and right. To assign it to the keystrokes works but then you always go full out and that is not precise. Any suggestion or am I out in lala land? :)
  13. I rather have a flightsim with one aircraft/heli thats verry realistic then to have a bunch of aircrafts/helis with less realism. If lomac did have the same realism in all their aircrafts as DCS BS have, I would go nuts. Right now I have my little black bird, still learning since I bought it in may and I still enjoy it. When the A10C hits the streets (rather the air I guess) I think I will be prepared for a new and lovely challange for many months ahead. Keep up the good work ED, you have made the last six months one more way worth living. In your ears my english must sound like Sinatra on crack but I hope you get the point :D
  14. Haha your wish might come true and thanks mate :D
  15. I know exactly what you mean. Im a rotor head myself from the start with Gunship from Microprose on my C64 until now and I would also love to have some feelings in the stick even though it might not be realistic. But I have a hard time to belive that there would be no rumble at all in the stick if the heli itself would shake aggressivly or on a harder touchdown, crash etc. Maybe my wish for an option to turn on some "hollywood" effects will come true in a future patch, I know I have been a nice kid so Santa might bring it :D
