Congratulations on the upgrade! it should keep you for a couple of 2 or 3 years at least. Are you in the states? If so would you be interested in selling that GTX570? I only ask because Ive been perusing the web lately for a used GPU for my old box also need a good PSU but I am on a budget.

+1 I haven't progressed passed the start up training mission with the mi-8 yet, 'meaning i cant cold start the turkey' which means I have yet to employ any weaponry with it, as much as i would like to, my OCD will not allow it:)

Got my dog trained to hold his stool until I tell him "Weapons Free!" If he pees on my tires I scold him by yelling "Friendly fire, abort mission, abort mission!" And we refer to a rolled newspaper as the "court marshal" No not really lol

Can confirm this hypothesis. My PSU died a few months ago so Ive had to remove my GTX580, and replace it with an old 9600gt even with my cpu @4Ghz and everything turned down as low as i can get it the fps will not go above 35 and averages 15 whereas with the 580 I would get the steady 30fps with all the bells and whistles

assuming you reinstalled it on a hard drive, did you first run chkdisk and defrag before you reinstalled, and then another defrag pass after?
