  1. Currently I'm using a thrustmaster t1600, have the chance to upgrade my stuff. Can't decide between staying with the current stick and buying a virpil throttle, or Buying the thrustmaster twcs throttle and upgrading to a virpil/vkb stick. For pedals I want the crosswinds. Pls help. Cheers.

  3. Thanks guys you helped me a lot. To be honest, I read the manual inside out - a couple of times. Also the one from chucks, and still had a difficulty understanding some of even the simplest of instruments. Maybe its my ADD... Anyway, I get the most help on these forums. So thanks again!
  4. Ok, so i'm kinda confused regarding the altimeter: It's in metric, right? If so, what are the different numbers on it - inner\outer dials? What are the small - not numbered markings (small hand), and what are the large (and numbered) ones? Thanks.
  5. Map rotation for ppl that don't have persian golf Is it possible to even the rotation between the maps? Sometimes 12 hr long missions rotate to another 10 hr mission and all on persian golf. Cheers.
  6. Cockpit radio on max volume. Tried to play with speaker boost - no luck. Tried to raise srs volume via sound mixer - no luck. Pls help
  7. Thanks mate This helps a lot..!
  8. Have an hour or so in the evenings. I'm a new pilot on the mig 21, looking for a wingman to tag along with. Cheers.
  9. Looking for a mate to tag along with Just recently got into dcs, bought the mig21 and now getting into grips with the multiplayer experience. I'm looking for a wingman to tag along with for an hour or two in the evenings. Cheers.
  10. I've just recently started flying the mig21 on multiplayer and it's quite challenging to say the least. The most difficult things for me are: 1. Understanding the mission system and getting to know the map. 2. Spotting bogeys 3. Talking on comms while trying to fly the plane So if someone is looking for another pair of eyes it will be great if I can tag along for an hour or so on late evenings. Cheers.
  11. Thanks Ross. This helps a lot. Ppl give this bird a lot of bad rep. But I find it a lot more intuitive than I thought.
  12. Hi. After reading the guide I still have a problem understanding the quantities before and after the ventral external fuel tank runs out. The guide says: 1. 3000-3200 L remaining if plane has a ventral external tank. 2500-2700 L if not. 2. If plane had ventral (central external), remaining fuel is 2700-2500 L. If plane doesn't have ventral tank, remaining fuel is 2700 L. This is regarding the fuel warning lights and the weapons and ordnance lights. So I still don't understand: a. What fuel quantity should I set when fuel is full (internal tanks + ventral external tank)..? b. What light will turn on when the ventral external tank is empty? c. What fuel quantity should I set after the external ventral tank is empty? Cheers.
  13. 1. So every time I have targets on screen I need to press the IFF interrogation button? 2. Does this apply to all kind of missiles on the other pylons, or only the same kind (ir/radar guided) ?
  14. Hi. Just recently got into dcs and the cold war birds. Have a couple of questions: 1. When using radar it doesn't show me other aircraft as single or double lines. Only as a target above/same height/below me. What am I doing wrong? 2. When selecting a specific pylon for a missile, do I have to change to the other pylon that's carrying the same type of missile after firing? For example, if I choose #3 pylon with an ir missile, after firing it - do I need to change to the 4th pylon or it will automatically shoot it next time I press weapons release? Cheers.
