Would like to create some screenshots while I play DCS. Could anyone recommend me any free software that is any good for editing, not expecting Photoshop software quality but not interested in buying software. Also whats the best place to upload screenshots? e.g Photobucket? One last thing, while in game going to the external view (F2) is there any way of removing that info bar you get at the bottom of the screen? Don't want that in my screenshots. Thanks.

Thanks for the quick replies. Having had a quick look on the forum about upgrading to blackshark 2 it seems the best way to do that would buy blackshark 2 since they don't sell the upgrade now. But will probably wait for a sale to arrive first before buying.

Which version should I download if I'm starting from a clean install? Been a while since I played DCS only have the original blackshark (not blackshark 2) and the A-10C. Looking to get back into playing. Also could anyone recommend me any threads that I can read about improving performance, not got the greatest of CPUs or graphics card so optimizing and playing around with the settings to get a decent frame rate will be important. My specs are below: ASUS Z87M-PLUS Intel® Core i5-4570 CPU @ 3.20GHz NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 1GB 16GB DDR3 RAM 2x8gb (probably don't need that much for what I use PC for) 1TB Hard-drive 450 Watt PSU (corsair make, don't know exact details) Windows 7 64bit Monitor resolution @ 1920x1200 Thanks.

Yeah saw that summer sale but was too focused on playing A10C wasn't thinking about Black Shark.

Thanks for the quick responses, shame they didn't allow owners of Black Shark 1 to upgrade for free, but oh well. Any idea when the next sale is due?

Hey all, I currently have a copy of the original Black Shark game not really played for a while, so see now that there is a Black Shark 2. Is this more or less a whole new game or just an upgraded version of the original? If I wanted to have Black Shark 2, would I have to pay for it even though I already have the first one? Thanks

Reading the manual and under the master arm switch when it is in the down position (TRAIN) does it fire weapons? when is it used?

I have downloaded and installed the game. I loaded up the main menu at the moment it has not asked me for a serial number. Before i downloaded the game, i did install the game from the boxset as i did not know i could get the game and all the patches in one. Where do i put the serial number in?

Hello, I got the A-10 for christmas and i am not sure what patches i need, i downloaded the latest patch and when i tried to install it, it told me that i needed an eairlier patch. What patches do i need to make it up to date? Thanks

Hello all, I don't have the A-10C Warthog yet but i am thinking of getting it some time soon but i want to get it when i can buy the manual seperate instead of looking at it on the disc. Is there a release date for the manual? Thanks

It has decided to start loading the installer now from the disc im on the verifying installer bit at the moment.

I right clicked on setup on the disc clicked run with admin rights nothing happened except a small blue circle( think it means loading) appeared then after about 5mins it went away and nothing happened.

I am using Standard. I am now trying too install it again but when i right click on setup on the disc it is taking ages to load up and it says not responding is this usual?

It has Uninstall there but when i click it, i get message saying "missing shortcut windows is searching for uninstall.exe"

I am using Vista but i said when i go too Start, Control Panel, Programs, Uninstall a program DCS Black Shark is not there even though i have it deactivated and installed on my PC.

hello all, I have downloaded the latest patch for Blackshark but when i come to try and install it, i get a message saying Blackshark not found so i can not install the patch. So i am going to try uninstall the game then install again they try install the the patch see if it works then. But i have a new problem i can not uninstall because my uninstall.exe is missing when i double click on it i get the message "missing shortcut windows is searching for uninstall.exe" I then see if i can see it in C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\Ka-50 but its not there. I then decide to go to control panel and i can not uninstall it from there because DCS:BlackShark is not the list even though i have it installed but i have just deactivated it (this could be linked too the blackshark not found on patch installation). So how do i uninstall it with no uninstall.exe?

I also get the message saying Blackshark not found. Reinstall apilication when i try and install the new patch my Blackshark game is installed in C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\Ka-50. Any fix for this? 56RAF_coventry:)

I have just searched it and it came up with four KA-50 folders. One was in C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\Ka-50. One was in C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\Ka-50\Scripts\Aircrafts\Ka-50 another one was in C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\Ka-50\Config\Input\Aircrafts\ka-50 and the last was in C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\Ka-50\Config\Input\Aircrafts\ka-50_easy (this was a KA-50 easy folder). And i have not installed previously on my PC before, i just got the game a few weeks ago. 56RAF_coventry:)

hello i have just downloaded the 1.0.1 patch and when i go and run the setup to install the patch it get a message saying Blackshark not found. reinstall appilication. This is where my installation folder is C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\Ka-50 Any ideas? 56RAF_coventry:)

hi all, I am stuck on the night mission in the deployment campaign. The night mission i am on about is the one after the first night mission which i think it called Alarm, Alarm! The one i am stuck on is when you have to destroy that house where you are trying to kill or capture this man, but when you destroy the house he tries to get away in a car( a sedan i think they say). I get stuck on the car bit, i don't know where it goes or what to do next. Can someone please tell if i have to destroy the car and if i do which direction does it head in or do i just return to base. 56RAF_coventry:)
