May want to turn them shadows off or flat and definitely turn the clouds to low. The clouds I have played with over and over and can't tell a difference in visual quality but for sure see a difference in FPS.

OK interesting, thank you for the answer, just curious how that is? Doesn't the game know what to crank out as a resolution? I see all the other functions do have a bearing on it like shadows, textures and so on.

I've been all over reading, but just confused and figured I would ask. Does the in game resolution have any bearing on what is being displayed? I have the Reverb 2 and everyone's settings, in game mind you, are all over the map. Trying to determine if I'm messing this up or it needs to be something else as I mess with the rendered resolutions. Thanks ahead of time.

Ah, I had all these steps down perfectly, except for 11. I was just leaving it at TOO1 and never switched it over to 2. That makes sense, thank you all for the reply!

I don't know what I am doing wrong but I am not having any luck with the JDAM's after the new patch. If someone could point me to the proper procedure for releasing 2+ JDAMS at 2+ different targets that would be wonderful. I'm sure it's me just messing something up, I just don't get it. Thanks!

I just tried both my mission and your track file you posted and I still get the flicker. What is odd though, I don't get it with an external view (F2-F5), just in the cockpit F1 mode. Let me know what you would like me to post to help with this issue. Thanks!

I have the i7-9700K and a GTX 1660 Ti and like the OP am debating between these two. Maybe the Pimax too, but I'll leave it alone for now. Are these going to be enough power to run either of these in DCS?

definitely a power issue, either not full power or something slowing it down.

Make sure you are using the "finger lift both" key while you take that throttle hand and mash it all the way forward, you are spooling up a little slow, FULL throttle.
