  1. Hello, I have learned to turn on the black shark blindfolded :) yay!! And I can hover and move the thing around. What puzzles me is the autopilot (heading, pitch, bank) sometimes, they start to blink and w/o warning they turn off (or is there a warning)? whats the reason behind this and how what is your advice to make sure they stay on? also sometimes, I cant even turn them on! (I just know that when those AP go off, BS goes wild , uncontrollable at times and thats the end...basically....the few times I recover......I manage to turn them back on and everything is normal again). Cheers :pilotfly::smartass:
  2. Hello DCS fans, I was wondering where do I set up joystick sensitivity? I find my joystick to be way too sensitive. I have an old sidewinder joystick pro and when its left on center it feels kind of loose in the middle. without much force, the stick can move a bit to the left and up and down and right. I mean, if I tilt the joy to the sides, the stick will move just a little bit. Just htat little movement or slight movment is enough to affect helicopter movement. I don't want this to happen. I want the joystick to send movement commands when I push it up and down and etc, not when its in the center even thought the center seems slightly lose. Is there a way to set this in Blackshark? so far I just see button configurations. I appreciate your time and advice, Maybe its just my Joystick and I need to get one that when in the middle, its dead center. The OS calibration doesnt have anything to ignore center movemnt.
  3. Hello DCS fans! Is there a way to set up DCS to do the 3D rendering with both screens? Or is that something that cannot be setup in the game but with the OS or the graphics card display settings? Or do I have to go with a matrox2go display adaptor? I read somewhere the windows XP allows Nvidia cards (not sure about ATI) to span 3d apps horizontally on multiple displays but Vista and Windows 7 don't. I have Vista and windows 7 and I cannot span the game at Full resolution on both screens. Unless maybe I set it to window mode? can I set a window mode resolution big enough to span both screens?:book:
  4. Sweet thanks, all in the obvious spots. Thanks :P
  5. is there a way to save these vids to our hard drive? are the boring bland yet informational training mission in the DCS BS tutorials in video format somewhere as well? (and hopefully that I can save in my HD); Will Fraps do it?) Thanks :)
  6. Sorry, I didnt mean to double post. I made a mistake. I want to start a new thread for this one. Does anyone know a good place where they might have the tutorial missions in video format? I would like to run them on my laptop while I train myself in DCS. :) (Will fraps work in DCS BS? Maybe I can use that to save the tutorials as videos?)

  8. Hello guys! I'm new to this game and I am very excited about DCS BS! :pilotfly: I am in no way a pilot, and flying the helicopter has already proven to be an exciting challenge. I mean, just the start up procedure is so complex and that is just the tip of the iceberg. Do you guys know of any good 3rd party or 1st party manual explaining in details the reasoning behind the start up sequence for the Helicopter as well as the 1000 other things you do with that chopper? On the other hand, due to the complexity of the simulator, there are times where I will screw up so bad that I would like to restart the mission or game. I find myself quitting the mission and restarting it. Is there a shortkey or hotkey to restart a mission without having to quit? :book: Many thanks :)
