Hi all, I am using a reverb G2 VR headset so not sure if this is the issue, I want to use the slider on my thrustmaster warthog throttle or the mouse wheel on my logitech g410 mouse as the zoom function, the slider on warthog HOTAS throttle accepts the control set up and shows the bars sliding back n forth when I slide the slider but no zoom action happens in cockpit, the mouse wheel will not accept any control actions, its there in the control set up window but when i dbl click to change its set up nothing happens. I can assign other switches or buttons to zoom but the slider or wheel are my preferred options. Any ideas whats wrong?

Thought it was a push to talk (PTT) system, why are you hearing people breathe? Mic should be closed until PTT is activated. Also, di you go into your Windows/open sound settings/sound control panel/communications tab and click 'do nothing' this should resolve those sound issues your having.

Think your missing the point guys, I am instructing George pilot to carry out flight instructions, i.e. increase altitude, turn to bearing, increase speed to which he acknowledges verbally but does not complete any control inputs. However, I have resolved the issue by completing a clean install.

As the title states, George does not respond with requested control input but does verbally acknowledge the requested instruction. Track attached. No george1.trk

I have this problem but found if I nudge the throttle forward slightly prior to start up sequence then right engine starts ok.

Sincere BIG thankyou Bignewy, how did I miss that, I was really getting annoyed seeing the NVG googles on top of my helmet and the mirror that projects the light onto the reticule in VR, unchecking it in the Specials tab fixed it and left me feeling stoopid for not spotting it earlier. This mod rocks in VR (HP Reverb G2).

Jaxx profile Thanks Nomis, your fix worked a treat, Jaxx profile now up and running although there is one other piece of advice for guys having trouble with the PINKIE switch in the profile. Note that when creating the PINKIE modifier you must rename button6 as PINKIE. not Pinkie or pinkie, it must be in uppercase. Jaxx instructed correctly but some of us dont pay attention.

Has anyone else had a problem with comms since the latest update to 2.5.2, I have tried a complete reinstall of DCS world 2.5 and the beta but am finding that for the night mission AAR the tower wont respond to my request to taxi, responds fine to request for start up so I'm a bit puzzled.

Hi guys, anyone had any trouble with ATAR day mission since the move to 2.5#? I just completed the basic training pack (got the win badge as well!!!) and am now at Kobeletti, after start up the tower instructs me to taxi to runway 25, used to be 07 pre patch, I stop at the runway threshold and request take off but get no response from the tower, I tried stopping in several different places on the taxi way to know effect, I then taxi down to 07 threshold and do get clearance for take-off, problem is the FE takes off from 25, wtf is going on?

Thanks Sabre, I had to force update but I can confirm it has fixed the bug and mission 5 is now completed. Only thing of note was the very bright strobe effects from the anti collision lights whilst running through start up. Running all these missions again as a refresher after quitting last year when I found it impossible to find ground targets in TGP, hoping DCS 2.5 will have fixed this issue.

Yep, altitudes are still wrong, hopefully its just BFT#5. Managed to get the FE to acknowledge everything up to the climbing right turn by fishing around between 300 - 500ft below the required altitude but thats as far as I can get, FE will not acknowledge a good climbing turn and shortly anounce a terminate, terminate, terminate. Very frustrating!! Is there any way to move on in the campaign and are the advance qual and other campaigns also screwed up?

@ mojo97. After you tick the F10 option in preferences you need to click finish in the keywords editor, I think this then copies the F10 commands to the clipboard, you should get a pop up window telling you what to do but put simply you delete the list of words from the key commands when I say box in voiceattack editor and paste the contents of the clipboard back in, this is supposed to give you the F10 additional commands. What I don't understand is why they weren't just part of the key commands list in the first place and I have still not managed to get any response from the F10 commands in the A10C as per my post 95 and 249. If it works let me know.

I'm still not getting a response from the FE when he calls for a radio check. I imported the F10 menus as that is where the correct response lies within the A10C. FE call "radio check" I respond "copy" FE should then say something like "read you 5 by 5". If I enable "allow options" in preferences, when the FE calls for a radio check I respond "options" then hit F10 (other menu) then F1 "Copy" and then get the correct response from the FE "I read you....." but I really don't want to use the options preference, I don't want to see any menus, just speak and get the instant vaicom response as designed. I have tried several times to import F10 Menus in preferences, clicked finish in the editor and got the message about copying the clipboard contents, I checked the contents of the clipboard against the contents of the keyword list in the "when I say" box and cannot find any difference so assume I have copied these words over correctly but there are still only 430 words in the editor and VA has 446 commands when I restart everything. So why is the FE not giving the correct response when I say "copy". And I am using the Pro edition of Vaicom.

Chatter volume Is there any way to increase the volume level of the "chatter" plug in. Once my engines are running I cant hear any chatter. Or can someone post me there game audio set up so that I get a good balance please.

Carry on from #95 - Ok, figured out that I had not said the correct phrase for taxi request, when I added request taxi to runway I got the correct response so now will go back to the dialogues lists and make sure I am saying the correct phrases. Still struggling with the response to the radio check though, its an "other menu" F10 menu so I checked the import F10 in preferences and then hit the Finish button to save changes and get the new words on the clipboard, opened VA to edit the AI Communications, do I have to copy the clipboard into each line of AI Communications or is there a way to do the whole group in one go cuz thats a big list!

Hi Hollywood, Ive been struggling to get 2.5Pro to work correctly for a couple of days now, tried to sort it but I am stuck. I have mapped TX1,2,3 & 4 to my HOTAS for both pairs of TX and deleted the keyboard and HOTAS commands in my A10C controls profile and I'm running the sim without easy comms as my preferred set up and playing the Advanced Tactical Training Campaign. So, when I initially call the tower (HOTAS Hold button for TX1 radio AM "request start up" Release HOTAS button) I get the correct response, then my Instructor calls for a radio check, I (HOTAS Hold button for TX1 radio AM "Copy" Release HOTAS button) and should get a confirmation from the instructor that he hears me but don't. Ignoring that I continue with my flight prep and call (HOTAS Hold button for TX1 radio AM "request taxi" Release HOTAS button) but get no response. What am I doing wrong?

I to have owned the Caucasus map for a long time but think that Ed should receive some recompense for his work. Perhaps those of us who already own the map should get the update at a reduced rate whilst new players pay a premium.

Thanks Sabre, I don't know how to skip the mission as the campaign only moves forward once you compete missions now. I will try a roll back.

Maple flag tac training mission 14 Still no joy with this mission, heres my last track: https://btcloud.bt.com/web/app/share/invite/ZmGUlptH7U I checked that target 1 was destroyed this time and I got the shack call from the FE and instruction to proceed to IP Adder. I did notice that after destroying the mobile AAA whilst doing the escort part of the mission, the FE instructs to call VUL but there is no controller to call. the JTAC option is not available in the radio menu. On shut down I still get nothing from the FE pass or fail. This is getting very frustrating. edit - Just tried the practice mission and couldn't get any instruction from the FE at all so cannot figure this out.
