  1. First: I bought the campaign November 2022 and implemented it in DCS.openbeta. So I believe it is the newest update. (So fare i have no VR). I made some tests with BFT02 training. All flights with the result: I can continue with the check ride, except, when the AI prevented a successful landing . I assume, that I made no serious mistakes. a) On all approaches and landings there was no PAPI or VASIS for RWY 12 visible. So I switched on the ILS for RWY 12. No VASIS or PAPI visible during approach. Perhaps the RWY 30 is active for landing? b) AI: when I turned back to BATUMI immediately and flow with 200 kts while performing the EFATO procedure, slowing down short before final, I was not disturbed by the AI. c) Flying with 200 kts straight ahead while performing the emergency procedure before initiating the turn back to Batumi and fly with a speed of 180 kts and reducing early to 150 kts, the AI passed me short on final RWY 12. It seams it depends on the time one need for the approach whether the AI passes you or not.
  2. Hi Sabre, Same event as described by 5EVC Tiger on 27th February happened to me, while performing BTF02. The instructor overtook me right wing, same foots short before touch down and gave me no chance to fly a single engine Go-Around or to brake before crashing into his aircraft. Intentionally I landed on the left side of the runway to let him land on the right side of the centre line. but he crossed from right to left. Means, the AI behaviour is still not changed since 27th of February? Or is this a matter of how fast you are returning back to BATUMI? Anyway: No instructor in real life would kill his student like this AI did. One remark concerning the BTF02 Mission description: I personally would prefer the EFATO emergency procedure to be repeated as expected in your pdf file of BFT02, delivered with the campaign, instead of the instructor reminding the student in flight how he has to act after an engine shut down in flight. Very special, because the engine failure / fire (e.t.c.) Emergency checklists may confuse a new pilot on this complex aircraft. Even when the student had prepared himself before the mission with the amplified checklist. My hint: Pre-flight Briefing for familiarization and qualification training should includes a revision of all emergency procedures in details as the instructor expected the student to exercise them in the briefing room before taking his seat in the cockpit. That is in this case: Please include the details in the pdf-file. That is a good alternative to a verbal briefing in the briefing room and I am sure, it improves the learning success. My full respect for all developers of this campaign!!!! Gharhoud
  3. Thanks, Sabre! That is all I want to know. And many thanks for developing this campaign.
  4. Please confirm: According to the mission objective BFT02 I got from the campaign description, one has to shutdown the engine and perform a single engine landing. I saw a video dealing with mission BFT02, where the pilot restarted the engine. If no restart is required, starting the APU and switch on the APU generator after shutdown should be the appropriate action? Because it is not an engine fire, there is no need to switch the bleed air of, I guess.
  5. Hallo Yurgon! I found the stuff. I am using two versions of DCS openbeta. It was in the version I did not use for many month. So many thanks for your successful help.
  6. Many thanks for your answer Yurgon. I followed your hint. There are folders, but they are empty. That is the problem. But again, many thanks
  7. I download the A-10C Basic Flight Training Campaign. In the campaign description they announced: "There are over 2300 voiceovers and over 170 pages of briefing material including the A-10C Amplified Checklist, Maps, Diagrams, and Mission Data cards." But I could not find this stuff attached to the download." Is this announcement referring to other sources not included in this download like the DCS A-1oC II Flight Manual and other material? Many thanks for any hint.
  8. Many thanks, Frederf!!!!! That's it. You saved my mood! Excuse me for my stupidity.
  9. Hi Frederf Before something strange happend: Yes! But now a green arrow is showing up on mouse over. With the green arrow over now the volume ring around the tuning knop of the ILS is moving and the green arrow mouse over the TACAN tuning knop is changing only between X an Y channels. No digits are changing. There is no green mouse wheel appearing. Only the green arrow. I am using the stable Steam Edition of both: the A-10C and A-10II tank killer. The only action I did was, changing the A-10C against the A-10II tank killer in the Mission Editor. But that should not change to Open Beta. Changing to A-10C did not help. Same mess on A-10C. After the chaos with unability to launch DCS on Steam some days ago it is really annoying.
  10. This morning I demonstrated a friend, how to use waypoints, TACAN and the ILS to fly the A10C from Kobuleti to Batumi. Everything worked fine. You could hear the click sound when changing the freq. and clearly could identify the IDs of the TACN and the ILS. Starting the same saved mission in the afternoon, we were not able to tune the TACAN channels nor the ILS frequencies. The switiches did not work correctly, not on the A10C nor on the A10 II Tank Killer. We coud change the TACAN channel from X to Y, but not the numbers. Recherches on the internet revealed, that this happend already in the past. Is there a way to fix this issue? Any help welcome. Gharhoud
  11. When replaying a saved track on the left side of the replay video a graphic with all FDR recorder data is shown. How can this be switched off? Is it a function of the control setup? Sorry!I found the answer on an other thread and could solve my problem.
  12. Beim Replay eines Fluges mit der L-39C werden links die Daten der Aufzeichnungen des FDR als Graphik eingeblendet. Weiss jemand, wie man das ausschalten kann? Ist das eine Funktion im Control Setting?
  13. Thanks a lot Rudel. I hope you have nothing against, that I also downloaded it from your copy.:book:
  14. Hi Etirion, thanks for your hints. I tried it as well as the hints I got from other experts, but nothing helps. The strange thing, when I press ESC and check the settings, it shows the correct reaction of the controls but does not take it in the simulation mode or game mode. And again, it only affects the F86F. I am now so frustrated that I am on the way to save the lua files as fare as I am sure they are not causing this mess, deinstall DCS an install it completely new.
  15. Hi Targanon, I deleted the lua file, but it does not help. Same issue as before.
  16. Thanks Targanon, will try it and inform you about results.
  17. Any help grateful wellcome! :helpsmilie: Just gaining my first experience with DCS! First of all: I was excited when flying the F86F, A10 Warthog and the L-39 with the Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog Joystike, Duel Throttles and TFRP T.Flight Rudder. I modified the setup profiles for the F86F and L-39 to adaped them to the HOTAS flight control equipment. All profiles for each aircraft worked as expected. But on day after creating a mission for the F86F two strange thing happend! 1) Starting the mission a uge compass rose appeared in the right upper corner oft he screen. On the reflector glass in addition to the sight reticle a red circel on the front reflector is shown. The targets are now labeled with big red triangles. May be, I tickmarked labels what I do somtimes but I never saw such uge labels and a compass rose and I could not reset the labes.. Whatever mission I am now trying with the F86F, quick start or own created missions with different settings without labels: I cannot delete the above discribed setting. And this unwanted desaster is only affecting the F86F and not the A10 and L-39. 2) Since that event when setting thrust at the same time the rudder deflects although the rudder axis is seperately set to Z independent of he throttle Z axis.
