  1. how i solved the issue: 1) found the original updater file, I've attached it (what a luck!!) 2) reboot the computer 3) disable antivirus from the options menu (I have bitdefender ) 4) start the updater (the change from the old version to the last one should last in a few minutes) good luck DCS_updater.zip
  2. Hi, i've also noticed the AI helos sturdiness against Vihkrs. On the other hand i also noticed that Hellfire missiles are way too much effective in hitting an airborne target at medium and high speed.
  3. Hi, first i'd like to thank Belsimtek for his great work! Moreover, i would like to underline that according to me the huey is somehow too stuck to the ground while attempting a crawled take-off preventing me to perform it properly. Is it just my feeling about that? what do you think? Regards,
  4. Hi, i've experienced this issue too.
  5. Hi, according to me the HellFire is way too much precise in hitting an aerial target (helicopter at high speed) when the flight paths are at 90° one with respect to another. What do you think, is this an issue worth to be addressed?
  6. Hi, the FM model seems to be realistic but there are some flaws according to me. (Note: in real life i'm a licensed helicopter pilot but had no experience with huey) The first one i noticed is that the inherent instability in hover is too pronounced. The causes could be: 1) cyclic control is too autoritative or 2) the helicopter mass distribution (CoG or inertia or both) is not accurate What do you think about?
  7. I'm available with CA and BS. (UTC+1) Let me know! Riemann
  8. Hi Ralph, do you mean you don't have any frame slow down when there are explosions, smoking wrecks ecc. in an almost crowded battle or when you pass nearby harbors or airports? What a luck, what system specs do you have?
  9. You're definitely right. Do you remember what Wags announced for the latest patch update: 3- Frame rates returned to 1.2.0 levels. This was done through a combination of adjusting building LoDs, optimized performance on some graphics cards, and adjusting water rendering. Although, even past versions suffered from several graphic issues, ED is istill not focusing on graphic optimization and related bugs. Perhaps they have money for monster rigs but not enough time to make the customer game time pleasant. I appreciate the hard work done so far by ED, anyway, : )!
  10. Hi, i have the same graphic issues as you. I had also big fps impact when flying low with a AH-64 ahead and a AAA vehicle shooting his shells (with the latest new tracers graphic rendering). Please ED, optimize the new graphics!
  11. Hi to all, what a surprise, good job friends! It seems like we need to post as many tracks or comments as we can in order to let ED (and its tester team...) to figure this (..possible) issue out. I like BS2 and its AI but, it might need some further refinments. Thanks to all in advance!
  12. Hi Viper, it's not that simple, what do you think?:) Try to get AI Joe loose the track after you, not in a flat land scenario of course, but in a mountainous region by 'turning around' and try to attack him from directions he wouldn't have never expected (in real life). Are you able to do that, without running 20km away from him? Once again, it's like he knows exactly where you are each time after being acquired as a target. What do you think?
  13. AI helicopter behaviour Hi, i think it's not only a matter of range detection; it's like this: when the ai helos have acquired you as a target it seems they can see you even through buildings and mountains or hills.
  14. Is ai helicopter cheating? Hi to all, i flew several missions in BS2/BS1 so i'm quite sure now. Try to test this in a mission: let the ai enemy helicopter spot you and chase you in a mountainous region. Then make brake left or right turning around hills and trying to conceal yourself against enemy FOV. Well the AI helo should have 50% chances of choosing the right path to find you but based on my experience it always knows where you are, no matter of how many turns you've made and whatever object you're hiding behind. It always drives you out! Do you think that's realistic?
  15. Hi, i've recently bought a new computer with Window 7, Intel I5 installed in and so on. I then uninstalled DCS BS from my little laptop, in order to re-install it again on my new desktop, but received no de-activation code. As i installed BS the number of activations were one less. Shall i consider my previous activation defitively lost due to the hardware upgrade? How can i get my activation back?
