  1. Thank you to the both of you for your answers. I made a mistake in my initial message (now edited), I have a GTX 970, not 770 (still 2 GB VRAM though). Sorry for the confusion. Still not a very good GPU but slightly better... I did what you advised and tried to run DCS with the FPS displayed. With the settings you suggested @draconus (thank you for the picture by the way) I was able to run an A10C II quick action mission at about 70 FPS. Sometimes it dropped a bit (into the 60s) but never for too long, sometimes it went up to 80/85. I then added the VSYNC (it wasn't on for my first trial) and it seems to have locked the FPS at 30 on the same mission, but it remains very smooth and stable. I am fairly happy with those settings, I will have to try in multiplayer to see how it affects my performance. I haven't tried MSAA x2 yet, but even without it it doesn't look that bad... Any suggestion concerning the Windows 10 Game mode ? I have seen some comments suggesting that it should be disabled, some others say the opposite ? For now I have turned it off.   2. Hello guys, I am trying to set up my DCS world Graphical Settings. But there are so many options and so many topics on this subject, with so many different configurations, I thought your experience would probably save me a lot of time and trouble, hence this post. What settings would you recommend for my hardware configuration ? It’s far from high end so I need some compromise between the appearance and the FPS... - DCS 2.5 Open Beta - Windows 10 - Both DCS & Windows installed on a PCI Express SSD - RAM : 16 GB DDR4 - CPU : Intel i5 10600 - GPU : GTX 970(only 2GB of GDDR5) I also use the Track IR. My screen is a 4K TV plugged in HDMI but I use it in 1920x1080. Are there some settings I should absolutely avoid ? Are there some tips that may help me save a few FPS / have better results in terms of rendering ? Are there some gotchas ? Your help is much appreciated
  3. Up !!! An improvement of the EWR/AWACS should be one of the priorities. In the latest Weekend News, it is possible to read: In my opinion, even though it is true that the airbase radio communications aren't perfect, they have all the basic functionalities one would expect (startup clearance, taxi clearance, takeoff clearance, approach clearance, landing clearance, handover from approach to tower...). Improving the EWR / AWACS would be more profitable, especially for units with limited / no radar (Mig-21bis, Mig-15bis, ...). The ability to assign some tasks like "this flight must destroy this target in priority, if it is destroyed it should engage this target" would allow a better overall experience. With some more programming it would even be nice to be able to set some broader objectives like "this aircraft / ground unit / ship" must survive, and let the AWACS give vectors to intercept the biggest threat for the unit to protect (closest one, most dangerous one in terms of weapons...), with the possibility to give different vectors to different units based on their respective location in relation to the enemy. (I'm not asking that much even though some degree of artificial intelligence behind the AWACS / EWR would be really nice). I don't like having to guess "where is the AWACS sending me, is it the target for my mission or is it another enemy unit for which I'm going to waste my ammo / fuel / time in order to fail the mission in the end ? It would also make the missions more immersive and realistic.
  4. Now that the Huey is out, I would love to see this radio implemented in the sim ! It could be useful for navigation purposes & to distract yourself while flying ! In fact, it was a great feature ! And it allows a deeper use of the avionics ! So... please, ED, is it so difficult to do ?
  5. I've flown this mission twice...And crashed twice : I reach the LZ but I crash everytime when I attempt to land! :lol:
  6. And is there a way to give the gunners the right to fire as an IA ? I mean while I'm pilot / copilot ?? Because otherwise they aren't really usefull, I mean, I prefer using the gatling / rockets, so it would be great if they could be autonomous.

  9. Hi all, I am wondering is there is a way to edit a mission built for DCS : Black Shark 1 (not the 2 !) in DCS:A10C ? I manage to open missions for Black Shark in DCS:A10C, but I don't manage to edit them. So is it possible ? Because I would like to modify some missions I liked in Black Shark to play them with the A10 instead of the KA50. Does this makes sense or you don't understand what I mean ? Thank you !

  11. I have a problem (I noticed it with the Campaign Georgian Hammer, but it maybe happens for all campaigns) : The A/G kills aren't correctly displayed, because I killed some ground targets and a 0 is displayed :
  12. I had the same problem on a mission : I was hit by a SAM and I lost a part of my right wing , but I had no alert in the cockpit (no master caution, no hydraulic pressure alert...). My gear, my flaps worked normally and the aircraft was "flyable". Normally, I think that I should have lost hydraulic pressure. Is it a bug ? I'm quite surprised because it's an hardcore sim, so I thought that hydraulic systems was modelised properly.
  13. I have a problem with the campaign "Georgian Hammer". I made the two first missions without difficulties. I launch the third mission (I have to kill some tanks). The mission loads normally , I arrive on the pause screen. But, when I hit the pause button, it seems that there is something wrong : the game makes a sort of freez, and when I make an Alt Tab to return on Windows, I see an error message. Am I the only one to have this bug ? If you want, I can take a screen of the error message.

  18. If I understand : CBU-87 = "classical" cluster bomb ("a sort of mk-20") ; CBU-105 = wind corrected CBU-87 ; CBU-97 = CBU-87 with intelligent guided submunitions (but not wind corrected) ; CBU-103 = wind corrected version of the CBU-97 ; Is that it ?

  20. While we are speaking about CBU : Say me if I make a mistake : -CBU-87 is the "normal" cluster bomb(a "sort of" Mk-20). -CBU-105 is a CBU-87 with a wind corrected dispenser. (More precise than the classical CBU-87) -CBU-97 is a CBU-105 with intelligent BLU-108 submunitions that find their target. Am I right ? So, what is the CBU-103 ?
