  1. I wish that I could post a video of this problem but I don't have the software. I've noticed that since the most recent update, this missile is completely erratic and uncontrollable. I'm firing it from the BMP. It used to track quite nicely to the target, now it goes haywire and slams into the ground.
  2. No, I just want to play the mission that I built at a different time of the day, at night for example.
  3. So lets say that I create a mission using Mission Editor for noon on a summer's day and later on I want to change the time and season to midnight in winter. How do I do this? Or are the time and season set in stone once I create the mission?
  4. How do you get the pilot to fly the aircraft while you're at the DG position?
  5. I was so excited when I read that the Skyraider was coming to DCS. What's the latest?
  6. Well right now I'm flying the "Georgian Hammer" campaign so I don't have a choice but to fly with a wingman.
  7. I never had problems with this before the latest update.
  8. I read the thread about you wingman not wanting to follow orders. My wingman won't do anything that I order him to do. He won't attack any ground targets, RTB, anchor, or anything. He just seems to be there to keep me company.
  9. But the M830A1 HEAT MP-T round has a proximity fuse and a fragmentation warhead.
  10. Thank you for your help. Good video.
  11. Thank you for your help. The interesting thing this is that I used to use that barrel roll maneuver in a flight sim that came out in the mid 90's called, "EF2000".
  12. So at 3 o'clock or 9 o'clock? What about air-to-air missiles? Thank you for the advice.
  13. Okay, that's great and all. But you have a missile coming at you, what do you do?
  14. I've been looking through the forums for the subject on how to evade and counter incoming missile threats, A2A and S2A. So far I haven't found anything. I know that you can do more than pop flares and dump chaff. What's a good resource for evasion tactics?
  15. The Russian 9M119 missile, or AT-11 Sniper has been added to the sim. for use in the T-80 and T-90 MBTs. Any plans to introduce the M830A1 HEAT MP-T for use in NATO tanks? This is a multipurpose round and can be used to shoot down helicopters with the simple turn of the nose fuse.
  16. I've searched through the forums and I haven't been able to find anything on this issue with regard to the Gazelle; I just upgraded the CPU in my machine and when I did this it screwed up all of the activation keys for my modules. I researched the forums and managed to get all of them fixed except the Gazelle. Does anyone have any advice? I even went to the link below, but the Gazelle isn't listed. http://en.wiki.eagle.ru/wiki/Problem_with_Activation
  17. After about a 3 year absence from DCS I decided to come back. I've been wanting to fly the new aircraft and try out the Nevada Map. I had completely removed all DCS software from my machine, so over the past 24 hours I have been loading everything back on. Everything is installed and updated. I'm using "DCS World 2 Open Alpha"; after starting the program and trying to do a "Quick Mission" I couldn't get it to run. The screen would flash a few times to different screens as though it was doing something and when it came back it was a smaller window in the upper, left corner of the monitor. The Quick Mission wouldn't load. So I decided to try "Instant Action", this did work. It loaded and I was flying, but when I go to an external view, the desert below is fairly blurry and low resolution. All of my graphics settings are turned all the way up. Everything is set to high. Nothing works to correct this problem, the desert is fuzzy and of low resolution. I searched the forums for information on this and couldn't find anything. Any help and assistance is very welcome. :helpsmilie:
  18. All of this may be true, but unless you're dropping a high drag bomb, free fall bombs are going to hit their targets a hell of a lot faster than 138 kts. As far as "guided bombs that fly using their lift", there aren't any flying bombs written into DCS that I've seen, even so glide bombs still need to maintain enough forward speed to maintain lift. As for lift and drag , a free fall bomb doesn't need to worry about lift, it's in free fall, not flight. With fall speed and air density, we're talking about a a stream lined object that weighs between 500 and 2000 lbs, air density is going to have little effect on the velocity in Earths atmosphere.
  19. I didn't say all of the bombs and I never named the GBU-12.
  20. Well I know a little bit about physics and after watching many hundreds of slick bombs hit their targets, I would say that the programmers have the bomb physics somewhat wrong. Everyone knows that if you drop an object from a high enough altitude that object will accelerate until it reaches terminal velocity, unless of course its retarded somehow. The bombs in the sim. don't necessarily do this. Some of them even slow down as they fall, the GBU-38 comes to mind. I'm sure that you've all seen videos of JDAMs impacting their targets in Iraq and Astan, and the bombs are traveling so fast that you can barely even see them impact and they sound like a jet coming in. Some Mk84s and 82s in the real world aren't even filled with explosives, they're filled with concrete to reduce collateral damage. And because they fall at such a high speed and with such force these concrete bombs have proven themselves to be very effective at destroying targets, especially underground bunkers. This detail of the sim. isn't a huge deal, it's just an observation that someone may want to take a look at if they're concerned about greater accuracy and detail.
  21. I don't know how to make an in game video or I would, but I've been having problems driving along the road; any civilian vehicle that hits my tank will push it around as if it was a toy and weighed ten pounds. In some cases I've even been flipped up on my side. This really needs to be fixed.
  22. I've been hearing talk of being able to turn off the radar of surface to air units. I haven't been able to do this so far 'I' doesn't work, that just changes the view. Does anyone know how to do this?
  23. During this whole process and all of these posts, I had BS2 stand alone installed the whole time, it's still installed.
