Not at all silly DD. Do what you enjoy, and for me DCS in VR is the ducks guts. I'm 52, and my eyesight's going south too, but I keep getting pulled back to DCS. My reflexes are pretty shot as well, but I'd like to put more time into simming but not necessarily in the high intensity jet scene. Find yourself a pub server with Huey's and just have a blast!

I only have a Steam controller at the moment, and don't own any consoles, therefore no other controllers. In the hope of using the Steam controller as CPG TEDAC, I've attempted to bind some buttons, only to find that the controller isn't seen by DCS. Do any of you very knowledgeable folk know how to make the Steam controller visible in DCS inputs?

@Svsmonkey, I only just found them yesterday. They look a lot like the ones I bought last night. Turns out a quick search on Amazon yields additional less popular options. Found a storefront called MEZA MOUNT, and they sell fully adjustable mounts for just under AUD$200, with free shipping (Have Prime account). Will hopefully get them tomorrow!

So I've had, at some stage, my X52 Pro and Warthog HOTAS desk mounted and recently invested in Wheel Stand Pro mounting system when I was using VR. I'm getting to the stage where I don't have the room to unfold and set up the WS Pro kit for my flying sessions, and am looking for desk mounting options that my wife wont freak out over when I purchase one. I've looked at both Virpil and Monstertech, and both seem pretty sturdy and well constructed, with a leaning toward Monstertech. It does seem a tad expensive though, especially when you factor in the fixed shipping cost of AUD$110 thru DHL Express, bringing it to a grand total of AUD$434.80 (at time of posting) just for a couple of brackets. I'll be the first to agree that our hobby can be an expensive one, but do any of you have experience with other HOTAS mounting kits of a less expensive variety? I don't have space nor skill to fabricate my own, so there's also that... XD Many thanks!

Using the Logitech controller programming software (using the X52 Pro)
astrospud replied to lil-hammer84's topic in Saitek
Hi Lil_hammer84, I have come back to using the X52 pro (for a couple of reasons) and am struggling to find the Logitch software. I have the X52 Profiler software downloaded from the Logitech site, but do you have links to the Logitech Controller Programming software? -

So, I've decided to switch off "use mouse" option under VR settings and it all seems great, until I have to access switches at the rear of each side console. Im sure you've all experienced the neck-twisting effort required to get the cursor to fall on the rear most switches (eg radio in A-10C) Is there a config setting where I can adjust the negative Y value for the mouse cursor in "mouse off" mode? Thanks in advance.

I have backed the Kickstarter (Snowl) and will await delivery. Once I have it and have experimented, I hope to come back and report.

Hi Fabio, Can you please expand on how you can use Autohotkey for interfacing with a clickable cockpit, without the use of mouse or VR controllers? I am seriously considering backing the Snowl Kickstarter, and since it's already funded, I am confident it will ship.

Hello Hollywood/Viacom team, I also have sent through an email support request, albeit on Monday. I didn't expect an immediate reply due to Easter. Can you please confirm that you received it? Many thanks in advance.

Usually I update DCS from Skatezilla Updater utility, and last night was no different. I let the update go over night only discover in the morning that no much had happened (refer picture) I then ran DCS to update, and have a similar situation. It can't be my connection, because I've just bought Titanfall 2 on Steam and have a steady 26mb/s download speed on that. Anyone else had this experience today?

VR Shaders mod for better VR experience
astrospud replied to Kegetys's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
My system is a wee bit older than yours, running i7 8700k@4.5Ghz and a GTX1070Ti Im not using the clear water mod as yet, as my frames are still not high enough to take a reasonable hit in MP or busy SP missions and remain playable. Can I ask what settings you are using in game? -
Love ya work Redkite.

Firstly, gotta say to all involved, a big thankyou to going to the trouble of sharing your experiences and technical knowledge with the wider community. Would it be possible to put the latest IC build in the first page of the thread? I'm still reading the OP as not being IC compatible. Apologies if this is not correct. -
The Huey is a module thats been available for a while now, and I reckon that's to scratch the nostalgia itch for some players. But this a/c is the one I would have expected (by a third party at least) to be modelled very early on. In partnership the A-10C and Kiowa and Whiskey Cobra, I imagine this would be an awesome addition for simulating CSAR. I would buy this module, as well as the Kiowa just to do this mission.
