Boughtenized. Gotta get me my chook on. I like the very definite date they named. Who wants to bet they make it?

Back in the day
We would compare the patch notes to the actual game and do a fun little scavenger hunt for things not mentioned in them. One guy even started doing byte comparisons on the game files to see the differences.
Fun times indeed. Oh and abysmal performance. And three game versions out in the wild. Yeah the good old days.

Hard to measure, thing has been very good lately already. Didn't see much ghosting however.

Yup, looking good. No bugs noticed. Flew 60 stable minutes in VR.

Guinea pigging it.. no changelog to it, is there?

You think pathfinding is the worst of the ground AI problems? Try flying a

What a glorious patch. I had a *great* time blasting fools in the Su-27. She looks wonderful and the sim runs absolutely awesome. Congrats to the peeps at ED! Kharasho!

So will wednesday be a real patch, with additions to Syria, Normandy, the F-15 and F/A-18? or will it be "just" the end of Open Beta, and stay on the same version number?
-
They will be if you play multiplayer. Otherwise, why would they be?

Bo-105 looks like it's going to be great fun! Wonder how those advanced rotor simulations will feel in flight.

I actually liked the monthly-ish update cycle. But I value the wellbeing of the devs and the health of their work environment way above my personal preferences.

It's close, I can feel it.

Looks like a fun run! Did I see an A-6 in there as well? Might we be seeing the AI model Intruder with the coming release?

Yesterday, I flew some DACT vs an F-15E. This is what the eagle driver reported:
Also, that MiG-19 has a ridiculously large RCS in DCS. I was able to get a solid TWS track on the MiG-19 at over 70NM while schurem in his MiG-21 didn’t even create a TWS return at this range. I was able to get blips of him in RWS but I was only able to track him in STT below 70NM… Something funky going on there.

Holy F that's a doozy of a newsletter! Saving world state. Whoa! Nice!
(also, @BIGNEWY I think @Silver_Dragon was joking...)

Sadly, I must complain once more. Yesterday I flew a multiplayer session with my friends, and especially the chopper drivers complained of sniper BMP fire and ATGM's scoring hits on maneouvering helos.

Turned out I had a typo in the password. Password manager had three different ones. Go figure
Ayway, instead of wasting a good 160 gb on copies of maps, I symlinked the mods folder from my regular DCS install and the server runs nicely.

Pre-order is also a way to 'vote with the wallet' on core development. Pour some coal on the machine, so that it may churn out more of the goodness in the coming months and years. BTRs that don't outdo ZSU's in air defence for example.
