  1. Got it. Seems like they implemented it not so long ago, the animation was differnet before.
  2. After launching "Vikhr" missiles from ka-50 the launch containers remain intact. Looks like I have infinite ammo (I cheked the box in the options, I didn't turn it on).
  3. Yup. That's more of a problem of simulation. They need to simultae LMC in a way it could be effective without extra measures, like xbox controller. Nice video and explanation. Also thank you everybody who pointed out that it should be LMC alone.
  4. Yes, I'm using hat on my joystick (VKB Gladiator). It really doesn't make it. Keyboard doesn't as well. Oh...
  5. Really? It only rotates the camera in the certain direction based on the power of input you made. Putting my own abilities to utilize it aside, I doubt that US army would use such relatively complicated solution for such a vital task. They would use a straightforward one - proper stabiliztion by pressing the right button.
  6. To make long story short I find it extremly inconvenient. Efforts needed to make it properly follow the target are not worth of result. Anyway, even if it worked fine for me, it would be only a poor man's "stabilization". I'm sure that such helo as Apache with all its gyroscopes, lasers and other fancy stuff must have proper stabilization on the fly. What it gunner\co-pilot wants to inspect some area on the move? It's quite a natural wish.
  7. LMC is useless... I doubt anybody really uses it at present state. I can't believe there is no "stop the cam" button on Apache.
  8. I'm trying to engage targets while my helo is moving. The problem is the image on my kill-screen is moving as fast as my Apache. I'm trying to catch bad guys with auto tracker, but even that is extremly difficult. The only reliable way to follow the target I found so far is to hover the helicopter and track it, with IAT or manually. In Ka-50 the things seem to be much easier - you need to simply press track button anywhere on the area to stabilize the image. I'm sure that there MUST be way to do it in AH-64. So how?
  9. As a person who have been flying helos in DCS since the the first installment of Black Shark that was sold on 2 CDs and who tried every helicopter in the game, I would say that flight model of AH-64 still has quite big room for improvement. Flying and turning became easy after 1 year of development, but hovering is still a lottery. Maybe 1 year later we will see easy-to-hover Apache. I can't imagine people in real life flying such unstable, unpredictable and super sensitive machine. It seems that Apache module is also very demanding in terms of hardware - pedals, suitable joustick and high FPS. I must admit that I'm far from matching all those boxes, but it doesn't bother me when I'm flying other modules.
  10. No, I didn't hear about IAT before. Now it became absolutely easy to follow the target... No matter what I do, it's to slow or too fast. The minimum bit of input is too powerful. Maybe I will try to play with axis sensitivity, as Floyd advised. Anyway, I doubt I will use this function again after IAT.
  11. Yup, I think that ED needs to improve input sensivity... LMC isnt helping in current state.
  12. Looks like it's working now... Some questions: 1) How to turn off the pink glass? 2) How to turn off pilot reflection in the mirrror? 3) Button for thrust vectroing? Does thrust vectoring actually affect the flight model? 4) Auto horizontal flight?
  13. I guess, you are right. But Im still struggling to hit a moving target in Apache. Are they going to make it?
  14. How to use new version of R-77 on Russian variant of Su-30? Is Russian variant of the plane for Air-to-Ground operations only? But at the same time it's the only one that can use new R-77. Please, explain how to use air-to-air mode on Russian variant... I tried playing with the options of the module in special options menu, but it didn't help.
