Hi All, Chris the newbie here. Question: I have a very fast computer, CPU is a Ryzen 9 3900 12 core, display card is a NVIDIA Geforce 2080 Ti and 2.5 terabytes of high speed solid state drives. It's also water cooled. My question is how do I configure the computer to get the maximum resolution out of my Oculus Rift s helmet. I know there are several programs that can be installed to bump up the resolution when I play Xplane 11. Can I use those programs with DCS? If anyone is familiar with the setup of DCS using those programs or any other tricks that will increase the performance of the Oculus rift s I'd love to hear from you.

I don't have "Player" as an option in the Skill window, only Average, Good, High, Exellent, Random and Client. Do I have to create a player in the logbook? When I try to do this I don't see the option for creating a new player.

Hi all, Chris the newbie here. Been trying to create custom missions using the Mission Editor. I'm making progress but I'm still stuck on one problem. After I've created a mission and I start it, I find myself outside looking in a flying P51. How do I start a mission in the plane either on the ground or in the air. What am I missing? I really love the challenge and complexity of this simulator but I'd be lost without the occasional input from you guys. Thanks

Yes, I have the Oculus rift s, but I could learn the software a lot faster if I could operate some things in standard mode ( mission editor for example)

Hi all. I was wondering, is it possible to run DCS in standard mode using the computer display instead of the Oculus?

There are times I would like to work in the Mission Editor or other part of the DCS World program without wearing the helmet. Unfortunately the program does not fill the whole screen but fills the center in kind of a fish eye shape. Is there any way you can make that fill a wide screen monitor or should it all ready and that way and there is something screwy with mine. Any Thoughts?

Hi everybody, Chris the rookie here, I want to start by thanking you all for the warm welcome and the loads of help you've given me. I purchased the P51 and also the Normandy package. I've have seen several videos on YouTube of P51's attacking trains. How do I go about setting that up. I'm still fighting my way through the mission editor. I know there are probably many aspects of the Normandy package I am unaware of and for that matter the whole simulation software. If anyone could point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it. Also, does anyone know of some really good tutorials for learning the Normandy campaign and for that matter the different mission set up tools on the software. I've found some good ones but you'll have to admit a lot of tutorials on YouTube aren't very good. Feel free to shout out if you can give me a hand. And again thanks to a great bunch of guys. I was Working with my DCS In v r mode and i suddenly noticed that the start icon for the DCS game start was gone. It was located on the desktop. I tried to start it through the Oculus library but all i get then is a quick shot of the hanger and then it goes back to the Oculus home screen....WTF.....has anyone had this problem before and is there a way to fix it???????

Newbie here again. I'm working through the tutorials that were included with the P51 I purchased and I'm making alot of progress and having a lot of fun in the process. One question though, how do i tie mouse cursor to the Oculus helmet so i can manipulate cockpit controls with it. I want to be able to just look at a switch or knob and turn it by pressing a button on my flight stick. Can someone please help me out here?
