  1. Canyon flying is all I do these days. ACM and A/G missions are fun, but stressful. Too many alarms and sensors to pay attention to if I want to relax. I take a stripped down F/A 18 C with 30% (unlimited) fuel and go canyon crushing. The entire range between Russia and Georgia is amazing. If you want to reenact Maverick missions, this is the place to do it. West of Las Vegas is Red Rock. Those are some awesome canyons. Oman, the northern most tip of the Peninsula I'm buying the South Atlantic map mainly to have more canyons to fly. I hope to get a canyon-flying community going as I want to see other pilots' videos and post some of my own. Cheers, James
  2. Hi, I'm James. I'm glad I found this topic, because this all I do these days. Air combat is stressful, tiresome and my neck hurts and we're not even pulling Gs. I love it like you, but when I want to unwind in the evening, it's a stripped down legacy Hornet with 30% fuel and ((cheter alert)), I turn fuel to unlimited and G effects off. The canyon effects have been greatly improved in the last few months, especially in The Caucasus. Valleys are canyons now, peaks are more defined. South of Beslan and Nalchick, east of Sochi as well. North of Las Vegas is Red Rock, those canyons are short and tight and finally Oman. Just like Beggars canyon. I hope to get this topic going again, get some videos because you know you've got some footage that deserves to be seen.
